How to get Room Id

Hi
I would like to develop a custom Iview for collaboration.
IRoom room = roomsAPI.getRoom("c0514d6b-57ab-2810-dcaf-8ab435de7871");
response.write(room.getDescription());
response.write(room.getName());
response.write(""+room.getLastModified());
In the above code i am hardcoding the room Id. But my requirement once user selects a particular room in a room directory. I would like to capture the room id of that room?

Did u try to use IRooms in Scheduler or abstractportalcomponent.
In abstractportalcomponent it works , but am doing in scheduler and am unable to get IRooms .

Please check the forum for such questions, before posting new one.
There are answers available for same. I am just reproducing for your reference.
Goto Content Administration -- Collaboration Content -- Room Administration -- Click on filter
u get all the rooms created in that portal and u will get below options for Administration
Lock or Unlock: Room members cannot enter a locked room
Hide or Show: The room directory does not display hidden rooms
Set Full Access or Reset Full Access: If you give the room owner full access, he or she can enter all pages in the room. Otherwise, only the page permissions for his or her room roles apply for the room owner.
Change Owner: You can select all rooms that a user owns and assign them a new owner
Delete: Before you delete a room, you can check its usage and temporarily lock or hide the room, if required.

How to get the room id & user id in our component

Hi Experts,
Collaboration -> Rooms -> Room Directory
It will show the available rooms
Select restricted room tab in that.
That will show the restricted room list, if you are not a member of the room you can request the room by clicking context menu of the room and select the Request Membership option. Then it will send the mail to the owner of the room.
In that UI commend they mapped with the roomid and userid.
I need to know how to get the room id & user id in our component.
How to get the Room Id dynamically?
Can anybody help me for this?

you can get the Room ID and the User ID over the API.
Getting User ID within WebDynpro application:
IUser user = WDClientUser.getCurrentUser().getSAPUser();

Getting User ID within custom Portal Component:

I know I can get the list of rooms for the logged user, but I don't know how to get the open/current room for that user, for querying the roomid in the wdp view after that...

When I switch my time capsule to 5.0ghz mode the range of my wireless network drops significantly. Near the Time Capsule my Macbook Pro works fine, in my bedroom I have almost no signal. In mixed mode it works fine. Any ideas on how to get 5.0 working?

I'm not sure if you understand that 5 GHz has some upsides, but also some very significant downsides.
The upside is that the 5 GHz signal will allow faster speeds.
The downside is that you must always give up something in order to gain something else.Unfortunately, the marketing hype about 5 GHz does not go into very many details about this.
In the case of 5 GHz, the 5 GHz signals are much weaker than 2.4 GHz signals, so they do not travel as far or penetrate any obstructions like walls or ceilings nearly as well as 2.4 GHz signals. In many cases, in order to get good 5 Ghz performance, you literally have to have almost a line-of-sight relationship between your computer and the wireless router.
If you have a new dual band router, which broadcasts both a 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz signal simutaneously, your Mac will connect to the best signal quality automatically depending on its location in relation to the router. In the same room, without any obstructions, it will connec to 5 GHz. But, take the laptop down the hall a few rooms and around the corner and the Mac will connect to the 2.4 GHz signal because at that location, the 2.4 GHz signal is not only stronger, it is also faster.

How to get the Useru2019s position when the user doesnu2019t have CP relation

We have a custom program which will add / delete attributes (In transaction PPOSA_BBP). It is working fine for users which were assigned with CP relation But it fails for users which doesnu2019t have CP relation (since we are getting the position of users form HRP1001 then we are retrieving the existing attributes based on the position after that updating the attributes) as we are getting the position from HRP1001 it fails for users were no CP relation.
Help us how to get the Useru2019s position when the user doesnu2019t have CP relation. Suggest us any function module or how to query the HRP1001 or some other table if exists

Have a look at these tables.
Using table BUT000 the central business partner data are stored, f.e. partner type, partner names, partner number, partner guid, person number, etc. In table BUTBKK the bank data to a business partner are stored.
Central business partner address data
The table ADRC is used for the address of a business partner. Table BUT020 links the business partner number with the address number. Using table BUT021 several addresses to a business partner with different usages (modes), f.e. correspondence or delivery address, can be stored. The personal data of a business partner person are stored with key person number in table ADRP. The person number is assignd to a business partner person in table BUT000. Communication data of business partners as e-mail, telephone, fax, etc. are stored in the tables ADDR1 u2013 ADDR12. The business address of a contact person or an employee consists of the organization address (company resp. org.-unit) and of an address addition, which describes f.e. a building, a room number, etc. The address addition is stored in table ADCP and is identified by the keys address number of the organization address and person number.
Relationships between business partners
Table BUT050 contains the relationships between a business partner organization and a business partner person using relation types. The relation types are defined in table TBZ9, f.e. the relation type u2018has employeeu2019 corresponds to identifier u2018BUR010u2019, the relation type u2018has contact personu2019 corresponds to identifier u2018BUR001u2019. Table BUT051 stores communication data of a contact person relationship (compare to table ADCP). Table BUT052 stores several address numbers to one business partner relationship (including a standard flag).

How to get rid of the craking sound comming from my speakers

I have creative 4400 4.1 speakers. Whenever i switch them on (without even booting the OS),Small sounds like the ones comming out of old gramaphone disks which resemble like a cracking sound is comming out of my speakers.
can u tell me how to get rid of that sound , Is it a problem or is it natural in speakers.

If it's happening when they're turned on, but the PC isn't (or there is no source connected to the speakers), then you could try the speakers on another power outlet (in another room perhaps), to check if there's any interference or "dirty power". If there is other electrical equipment around something could be causing interference. It is possible though that there is a hardware fault.

How do get video to hdmi TV port without using apple tv?

My new non retina macbook pro 13 inch is supposed to arrive soon. My old 42 inch Vizeo only has one hdmi port that works so I was planning to use it a s moniter for my DAW. The apple tv is for the living room, not the room where my DAW is. But as far as I can tell there is no mini display or anything on this computer other than thunderbold , usb and firewire, the firewire to be used for my MOTU audio interface. Any ideas on how to get this old VIzeo to be external moniter basically

How to get the creation date of an event/meeting

I need to implement some control rules on booking conference rooms depending on the creation date and start date.
For example:
- the booking cannot be accepted if the meeting start date is less than 2 hours ahead
at 3:00 PM I can book the conference room for a meeting starting at 5:05PM
but not for a meeting starting at 4:55PM
- the booking cannot be accepted after 5:30PM for a meeting starting the next morning before 10:00AM
at 5:45PM I can book the conference room for a meeting tomorrow at 11:00AM, but not for a meeting at 9:45AM

how to get the creation date of an event/meeting?When you use the calendar sdk to fetch a meeting there is an Icalendar(http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc2445.txt) property called CREATED with the creation time in UTC.
For example:
- the booking cannot be accepted if the meeting start

You would want to implement these rules with with the sdk? That would implie that users connecting to the calendar server with any other client than the calendar sdk could still book these resources whenever they want.
Or you would want to go an validate all the meetings once they are already created?

How to get the values from table SKB1 R/3 to SRM

Hi Gurus,
My requirement is to get all the values from the table SKB1 to SRM (i.e. in to an internal table) for doing some validation(G/L account XXXXXX requires an assignment to a CO objectXXXXXX.)
Like wise I have many tables for doing validation in SRM
Help me how to get this, suggest me any Function module with sample code.
OR
Any Standard FM which will give all the values of the fields in the table SKB1 when I pass the key fields G/L account & company code alone so that I can improve the performance.

Every webdynpro component has a global controller called the component controller which is visible to all other controllers within the component.So whenever you want to share some data in between 2 different views you can just make it a point to use the component controller's context for the same. For your requirement (within your popups view context) you will have have to copy the component controllers context to your view. You then will have to (programmatically) fill this context with your desired data in this popup view. You can then be able to read this context from whichever view you want. I hope that this would have made it clear for you. Am also giving you an [example|http://****************/Tutorials/WebDynproABAP/Modalbox/page1.htm] which you can go through which would give you a perfect understanding of all this. In this example the user has an input field in the main view. The user enters a customer number & presses on a pushbutton. The corresponding sales orders are then displayed in a popup window for the user. The user can then select any sales order & press on a button in the popup. These values would then get copied to the table in the main view.

TS3999 I had an icloud account setup in 2009 when I first got my family members each a mac. I let that account expire(we never used it) and I don't know how to get it off of my ical. It is not recognizing any of the information to reset the password?

I had an icloud account in 2009. We set it up as a family plan because my family had just changed from PC to Mac. We never used it and let the plan expire in 2010. My ical will not sync with my new iphone because it is linked to the family plan account that no longer exist. Because I don't remember my password, I tried resetting it. It says the personal information I entered is incorrect, but I know the information is correct...It's my birthday it asks for! Does anyone know how to get that account off of my mac without the account existing?

You were a MobileMe (not iCloud) subscriber in 2009 and this service has been terminated. However the login is an Apple ID and this never expires. What is your operating system? Do you have a MobileMe icon in System Preferences? - if so you should be able to sign out in it, but you may not have an iCloud icon to let you create an iCloud account, though you can do so if your iPhone has iOS 5 or above.
If you are getting login requests or other irritations from your MobileMe account you can go to (user)/Library/Preferences/ByHost and delete all .plist files beginning with com.apple.DotMac or com.apple.idisk, then reboot.
The minimum requirement for iCloud to let you sync your data is 10.7.5 though you can sync through iTunes (except with Mavericks).
