How to get the document file format?

Hi all,
Im using Illustrator CS3 SDK to find the file format. In pluginhandler.cpp,the following code showing as inactive preprocessor block(disabled)
#ifdef ADDS_FILE_FORMAT
    if ( sSPBasic->IsEqual( caller, kCallerAIFileFormat ) ) {
        if ( sSPBasic->IsEqual( selector, kSelectorAIGetFileFormatParameters ) )
            error = goGetFormatParms( ( AIFileFormatMessage* )message );
        else if ( sSPBasic->IsEqual( selector, kSelectorAIGoFileFormat ) )
            error = goFileFormat( ( AIFileFormatMessage* )message );
        else if ( sSPBasic->IsEqual( selector, kSelectorAICheckFileFormat ) )
            error = goCheckFormat( ( AIFileFormatMessage* )message );
    else
#endif
So the above code is not executing so im not getting the file format. Can anyone guide me regarding this... Will this cause any problem in getting file format?? Im blank regarding this. Anyone pls guide me

The code you posted only coms into play if you have added a file format of your own for saving, exporting or opening. It shouldn't matter to getting the file format.
If Illustrator is giving you the right results in CS3 but not in AI10, its very possible AI10's version was simply busted. Or it was subject to a limitation CS3 is not. I know at one point certain document attributes were not available until the document had been saved; could that be the problem here?

    In illustrator using "Document Info" we can get the file information. Like that how to get the document information using script. Anyone please help me.

    I think sample code in the SDK contains a 'skeleton' plugin, I'd start with that. It should also provide a list of suites that get automatically loaded, I think it's in Suites.h. Just make sure AIDocumentSuite is in the list, and if it's not, just follow the examples in that file to add it. That should end up with a global variable called 'sDocument', which has all the suite functions as methods.
    Then it's something like:
    AIDocumentSetup setup;
    AIErr error = sDocument->GetDocumentSetup(&setup);
    // check error to make sure it's kNoErr
    Then you just have to inspect the setup struct for (hopefully) the answers you're looking for.

  • How to get the document number for a ware house order.

    Hello gurus,
    how to get the document number for a ware house order. [if GI is posted refering that WH order] .. is there any report?
    Thanks in advance

    There are several options.  When you post a Goods Movement, you can use LB12 -display Transfer Requirement for material document or LB11 Display TR for material.
    Depending on how your system is set up you may have gotten a Transfer Order automcatically.  In this case you can look at LT24 - Transfer Order for material.

  • How to get the ard file of crystal reports

    Hi all,
    I have downloaded crystal reports from sap market place but i dont have .ard file for that how to transfer that reports into sap. How to get the ard file please help me out.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Murtuza Ahmed.

    When you click on your SAPCrystalSetup.exe and select the path to your add-on folder it will install the files and your ard file will be situated in your add-on folder.  Then you can start SAP up and install it from SAP.
    So if your SAP install is in your local drive your ard file for crystal reports should be here C:\Program Files\SAP\SAP Business One\AddOns\SAP_CR
    Hope this helps.

  • How to get the document which is associated with a process having specific Guid value?

    when a PDF file is opened, AcroRd32.exe is started automatically, and we get the GUID value of that adobe reader.
    In c#, can't we get the document associated with the GUID value,  I mean the total PDF file which is opened in adobe reader at runtime.
    Here I'm struck up in code, can anyone suggest how to where I was missing something.
    Acrobat.CAcroAVDoc AcroAvDoc;
    Type AcrobatCAcroType;
    AcrobatCAcroType = Type.GetTypeFromCLSID(new Guid("{CA8A9780-280D-11CF-A24D-444553540000}"));  This CLSID is of adobe reader's.
    ///////Here I think I'm missing something
    Object obj = Activator.CreateInstance(AcrobatCAcroType);
    AcroAvDoc = (Acrobat.CAcroAVDoc)obj;
    I think I can get the full PDF document with AcroAvDoc.GetPDDoc();
    Thank you...

  • How to get the document details of a Workflow Request?

    We are using listRequests method of RequestManager class for getting workflow requests. This method returns collection of request information. But how we can get details of document, which has to be approved, through that request id?

    Hi,
    Hope u got the solution. If not, you can get the Document Item like this.
    // Its the method call of previous link nickw-ocs has provided
    Vector fileNames = getTargetDocumentsFromFolder(request1);
    for (int j = 0 ;j<fileNames.size() ;j++ )
    AttributeRequest[] pathar = new AttributeRequest[]
    WSF.newAttributeRequest(Attributes.PATH),
    WSF.newAttributeRequest(Attributes.PARENT_FOLDER)
    FileManager filemanager = session.getFileManager();
    // Resolve the file path based on folder ,document name
    // combination.
    String fileName = (String)fileNames.get(j);
    System.out.println("Item id : "+item.getId()+" File Name : "+fileNames.get(j));
    Item targetItem = filemanager.resolveRelativePath(item.getId(), fileName,
    pathar);
    // here you got the Document Item. So, you can do what ever u want, like read the docuemnt, update categories etc..
    if (targetItem != null)
    targetdocuments.add(targetItem);
    }

  • How to get the local file system path of an image that loaded into the image component in cq5?

    Hi,
    I'm having hard time uploading image from filesystem where as drag and drop works.
    I'm not getting a path of image selected from filesystem.
    here is my code..
    private String populateImage() throws Exception {
                        if (currentNode != null && currentNode.isNode()) {
                                       Node ImageNode = JcrResourceUtil.createPath(currentNode, "image",
                                                                          null, "nt:unstructured", true);
                                       imageUrl = ImageNode.hasProperty("fileReference") ? ImageNode.getProperty("fileReference").getValue().getString() : "";
           imageUrl = imageUrl.trim();
            log.info("MANAGE PROFILE BEAN IMAGE URL INSIDE IF IS: " + imageUrl);
                        } else {
                                            imageUrl = properties.get("fileReference", "");
                                            imageUrl = imageUrl.trim();
                                            log.info("MANAGE PROFILE BEAN IMAGE URL INSIDE ELSE IS: " + imageUrl);
                        return imageUrl;
    So if I drag and drop..
    ImageNode.hasProperty("fileReference") is returning a valid path
    but if I upload an image  it is returning Null.
    So how to get the path? any suggestions around would be appreciated...

    When you say path you mean you want the path to print out in your HTML? Is that accurate? If so you generally need to constructe that path based on the path to the current component. So if you component is located at /content/mysite/en/about/mypage/jcr:content/parsys/image then the path to the image would generally be something like /content/mysite/en/about/mypage/jcr:content/parsys/image.img.jpg/1283829292873.jpg. The .img. selector triggers the servlet associated with the foundation parbase - /libs/foundation/components/parbase/img.GET.java. The reason you reference it this way is that there is no filesystem path to the image - it is stored in the repository not on the file system, and it requires a servlet or script to ge the binary from the repository and steam it.
    Normally the way you'd construct this is to use the out of the box Image class - so look at /libs/foundation/components/image/image.jsp. Now this example assumes that your component where you loaded the image extends /libs/foundation/components/parbase. If it doesn't then you either have to change your sling:superResourceType to /libs/foundation/components/parbase or some other component that does exten /libs/foundation/components/parbase.

    You can extract a date portion and  assign to the variable and then compare with GETDATE()
