How to get the ID of a Button

Hi,
There is an interface IF_WD_VIEW_ELEMENT inside the class CL_WD_BUTTON whi has two methods: GET_ID and GET_VIEW.
My problem is i have to get the ID of a button at runtime inorder to get the text associated with it. can anybody pls let me know how to get that?

Finally I am able to resolve the issue with your help!!
But why I tried your last posting still i was getting error!!
"lo_button = wd_this->m_view->get_element( ID )."
i did a minor correction to the above statement as follows:
lo_button <b>?</b>= wd_this->m_view->get_element( ID ).
But to my surprise what is the purpose of the method <b>IF_WD_VIEW_ELEMENT~GET_ID</b>? When can we use this?
This is just for my information.

just to make it easy for me, the save button has an ID , i dont know how to get that ID or where that action will be generated , i dont know where to implement my method, and this is the problem i dont know where or which method or class or IF will be genareted
the SAP Developper are taking this case into consideration , because normaly all the data will be stored first in a buffer table, and after the suer clicks on the SAVE button, all the data will bestored in the corresponding INFOTYPE using the CP of the person, but in case of some INFTYPEs that are specified with 'P' instead of 'CP' we can't use the SAP Standard methode insert_infty , and this is the reason why i believe that there must be an alternative way to save all DATA of all Subtable by clicking only once on the save button.
I foundout that the methode WDDOPOSTPROCESSING will be generated after clicking on the SAVE button, but as I said, i can't get the corresponding event ????
please is somebody has an Idea, am still interessted to get the solution.

How to get the submit and Reset buttons on bottom of the page?

while viewing a parametric form in the web browser i get SUBMIT
and RESET buttons on the top of the form which doesnt look good.
I tried pasting the whole html available by default in the
Before Form Value(where the submit and reset buttons are
defined) in the After Form Value property of the report property
pallette. Though the layout appears as i wanted but its not
passing the parameters values to the query but generates an
error " REP-0788 Warning : The value of restricted LOV parameter
BV_FROM_DATE is not among the selected values.". What can be the
solution to this problem? Your Help is much appreciated. And
also the report generated in the Runtime Previewer shows all the
colors of the fields but its not shown on the web browser where

when you select 'list of values for the parameters' there is a choice box that says 'restrict list to Predetermined values'. Don't select it. This will solve your first problem.
Second:When you run the report on the web you must choose ' desformat=htmlcss' then you can display the report as in the preview window. But still you can't see the same view in the web browser on report builder. It is still not good. As I sad before you can see the right view when publishing on the web.

The radio button has a name attribute. That name attribute should be the same as the bean property. Then you just need a
<jsp:setProperty name="mybean" property="*"/>
and the bean's set method will be called for the value of that radio button.
so...

How to get the page request parameters in Command Button code

I am new to JSF and working on some Command Buttons. I put my java code via Edit Event, it works fine. But I don't know how to get some parameters from HttpServletRequest.

Yes, I intend to get some parameters from URL. I did try to put your code and get the parameters predefined in the URL, however I got the null returned. By the way, I put the following code in the page source part and it works. Just don't know how to get the value being passed to the command button event code.

How to get the 'text' property value of a button in coding?

I'm using 10 buttons all are having common action('click'). when i click a button the 'text' value of the button should pass to a function.So the action is same but the passed value will be the 'text' value of the corresponding button. Write this code in the "wdDoModifyView()" method:

Add the parameter "commandID" to the event handler of ur buttons and it should be of type "String". That will look like:

Hi Kranthi,
Every webdynpro component has a global controller called the component controller which is visible to all other controllers within the component.So whenever you want to share some data in between 2 different views you can just make it a point to use the component controller's context for the same. For your requirement (within your popups view context) you will have have to copy the component controllers context to your view. You then will have to (programmatically) fill this context with your desired data in this popup view. You can then be able to read this context from whichever view you want. I hope that this would have made it clear for you. Am also giving you an [example|http://****************/Tutorials/WebDynproABAP/Modalbox/page1.htm] which you can go through which would give you a perfect understanding of all this. In this example the user has an input field in the main view. The user enters a customer number & presses on a pushbutton. The corresponding sales orders are then displayed in a popup window for the user. The user can then select any sales order & press on a button in the popup. These values would then get copied to the table in the main view.

How to get the value from Advanced table

In the Advanced table have 2 LOV fields, I need LOV field value dynamically in the controller to validate the save button, if iam not selected any value in lov save button will not allow to save the data. In the table i am using 'Add another row'. How to get the lov field value in the process form request??? and how to do this requirement

1. You can specify required property on LOV field to "yes". For events where you wish to disable the client side validations, set the property disable client side validation to "true".
2. If above behavior is not what you are looking for, then you need to handle in AM and not CO.
a. Call an AM method from CO.
b. In that AM method, get handle of VO.
c. Iterate the VO Rows and check for your validation rules.

How to get the values of 2 dynamic comboboxes in one jsp to another jsp?

I have 2 comboboxes and one submit button on my jsp page.I select a value in 1st combobox then the values in the second combobox populated from the database. next i select 2nd combobox and then submit the button.After submit the button call the next jsp page. In that page i want to display the values of two comboboxes. but my problem is , in that page only 2nd combobox value is displayed.1st combobox is displayed as null. plz tell me, how to get the values of two comboboxes at a time?
