How to go to specific page

I have a fill-out form on the web. When a user hits the submit button and there is an error on the form, I am displaying an error message to the user. How can I make the content of the pdf go to the specific page where the error field is located? I know the page of all possible errors, but I do not know how to make the PDF go to a specific page. Please help!

If you knw of an object on the target page (usually the first field on the page), then you can use xfa.host.setFocus("PageX.FieldName"). If you use the method you mention then you will go to that page but the cursor will not be in any field. The user will still have to click in a field to start typing.

ok, I try first approach in print4.vi, but Labview return an error (view jpg); if I cut From, To controls, the VI print all pages. The same things happen also if I trasform I32 in Variant.

let's say a registration form, there is only 1 full address provided in my registration pdf, but applicant could have more than 1 address, so i have to make it more flexible to extend the address page no matter how many addresses that applicant provided, i have use adobe acrobat pro to edit the form properties. but dont know how to extend/duplicate a page in felxible times.

How to print a specific page from the internet

I have tried to print a specific page, and get about seven pages that are linked to it, without
seeing the specific page I wanted printed out. The page settings under printer only lists header and footer
info, and no choices to print only this page or frame. There is no way to print one specific page on this printer?
I always was able to do this with the Epson printer I just replaced, but unable to with this printer.
Please help! There must be a way to do this when printing from the internet. Thanks for any help.

I don't have any idea what you are trying to print, nor do I wish to know. Smiling.
The key may be to control this in Print Preview like you would with most things when you are printing from a Browser.

Here is the question: I’d like to find a way to call a page using a text input as an alternative way to use the menu hierarchy.
That is, On the main page I have a text Input; assuming that each page is assigned to a specific code the following would be the scenario:

Your question is not related to JHeadstart but requires general ADF Faces and ADF Taskflow skills.
Please use the JDeveloper forum for your question. Once, you got it to work by manually changing a generated page, this forum can help you with using custom templates to keep your page generatable.

I need your advise, please. My customer requires to print a specfic page from a pdf document they receive, using command line or 3rd party solution.
Anything you can advise, please? I have seen AcroRD32.exe options, but can only print the whole document.

Not sure if there are any examples. The Acrobat SDK is a must, but it is best treated as documentation to study rather than examples to copy. The examples only illustrate a tiny fraction of the capabiliies.
(One other note: the solution must involve the client owning Acrobat; Acrobat is not for server use).

How can I make a specific page open in a new window when clicked from a menu?

Don't know if its possible but I have one specific page I want to open in a new window in the browswer when clicked on from a widget menu. I know how to go in and put the coding in but it would be nice if there is some option in Muse to do that already. Any suggestions? Thanks for any help.

ryanj4799 You'll need to change the Menu Type to Manual in the widget's options and add the links yourself. Then go to the Hyperlinks panel. Check the option to open in a new tab/window.

How do I stop Firefox from crashing? It crashes at various times, not when loading any specific pages.

My crash problem has been going on for week, now. I tried uninstalling FF and reinstalling it. I hoped that would fix the problem, but it didn't. Crashes occur randomly, when loading or reloading pages but they are NOT specific pages. The Report ID listed below is just 1 of several reports from the past week.

I am unwilling to attempt navigation away from these sites. The pop-ups that occur on the attempt to leave a site or to close the browser are exit traps offering incentive to stay.
Once upon a time, when the internet was less dangerous, I would be willing to close the exit pop-ups. Now, after twice being infected with malware trying to close the pop-ups, I now force close whichever browser I am using.
Recently, I clicked on the red X to close one pop-up, and it installed a trojan that I had to pay to be removed. When I clicked on 'Leave' in another exit pop, it didn't exit and it turned out I was giving permission to run a script file. Now that criminals have learned these exit pop-ups can be used to force a click action, the sites using them have become dangerous.
If I force the browser to close using Task manager, Please tell me how to stop FireFox from sending me directly back to the same site because it mistakenly believes it crashed when it did not. I forced it to close because I was on a site that had taken control of my browser and was not allowing me to leave the site.
No other browser sends me back to the potentially dangerous sites. I prefer Firefox, but the new version must have a setting that allows me to get safely away from a problem site?

How do I open to a specific page or destination in a pdf file using Buddy API Xtra?

I'm working with a CD ROM catalog that utilizes the Buddy API Xtra to open PDF files when a link is clicked. The client would like to be able to open to a specific page within a pdf file.
I can open a pdf file using the Buddy API baOpenfile() function but I'm having trouble opening to a specific page when I add #page=4:
baOpenfile("@\pdfs\Powder Cores\Magnetics_Powder_Core_Catalog_2011.pdf#page=4","normal")
I've also tried working with the code below which seems to me like it should work... I didn't realize that the "open..." part of it was a function in Director.

Several questions about opening PDFs from the Mac OS X command line:
1) How do I use the "open" command to open a PDF to a specific page? (I know I can open a document via: open doc_name.pdf)
2) How do I use the "open" command to pass multiple arguments (page no, zoom scale, view mode, etc...) to open a PDF file in a specific manner?
3) Does Preview handle the same parameters as Acrobat Reader? If not, what are the differences in options?
I've spent hours searching for this answer and have come up dry. I've downloaded Adobe's "PDF Open Parameters" document -- it lists all of the parameters I need, however I can't get any of them to work from the command line.
My goal: Open a PDF from the command line to a specific page. At first glance, I thought this would be simple to do and find -- however, after a lot of searching I haven't found an example on how to do it.
Anyone have any experience doing this, and care to share?

I don't know of any way to do what you want using the 'open' command. It can probably be done with Applescript, which you could call from a shell script. The Preview application doesn't seem to be scriptable. I don't use Acrobat, so I can't tell you anything about that. Looking through the dictionaries of the apps I do have, it seems that Skim (another PDF viewer) has an AS 'page' class. Below are a couple of links that may get you started. Look for more specific guidance in Applescript forums.

How do I insert multiple pages in a specific order?

I create reports in Word and convert them to Adobe before sending them out to customers. I often need to insert additional (Adobe) pages into the report before sending it out; sometimes I need to insert mulitple (20 or 30) pages. Does anyone know how I can insert these pages in a specific order? A few times in the past, Adobe gave me the option to select the order, but lately that option has not come up. HELP!

I go to Document>Insert Pages then select the files I need to insert. The order in which the pages are inserted is important because they are results of pressure tests (e.g. Sample 1 thru sample 10). I just ran a trial; I tried to select them from top to bottom and bottom to top and it did not seem to make a difference...they went into the document in reverse order. As I mentioned earlier I used to get a pop-up screen that would ask what order I wanted the inserted pages in...I don't get that pop-up anymore.

How to I make all the pages in a Pages document into pages, not sections, to I can drag specific pages around and place them where I need them? When I try to drag a specific page, it drags an entire section.

How to I convert all the pages in a Pages document into simply pages, eliminating pages called "sections", so I can pick and chose specific pages to drag where I want (without dragging an entire section of pages)?

Insert a Section Break at the foot of each page
or:
Toolbar > Document > Document > uncheck Document Body
This will destroy any content in your document, but I presume that is what you want.
