How to hide dialog until controls on it are initialized?
I have a dialog with some controls on it (e.g. tree control). I like to initialize some properties before the dialog is shown. For example, I would like to set the active/selected item to be a specific item. I get this to work, however there is an annoying flicker when the dialog is shown, since the dialog is shown first, then the code that initialized executes. Is there a way to hide the dialog until it is initialized or other way to work around it?
Thanks,
Rob

Solved!
Go to Solution.
You can also call the subVI without showing the front panel, then have it show its front panel once the controls are updated.
For example, the subVI containing this code will show the panel after 1 second.

How to hide Saved Searches in the header area of web ui
Hi All,
My Query Is how to hide Saved Searches in the header area of web ui.
For This is there any configuration or we have do through the code.
Thanks & Regards,
VenkatAnother approach:
Open view CRM_WORKAREAHDR/WorkAreaHeader and change the configuration. There is a button in the bar named "Attributes" (probably hidden under MORE).
Once in there in edit mode substitute the content of attribute "UI_COMPONENT_3". It should be
Window=CRM_ALLSEARCHES.CRM_ALLSEARCHES/LauncherWindow;horizontalAlignment=right;
put there a
Width=0px;
The other way using business role is fine as well.

How to hide the table control column in module pool
Dear Experts,
Please help me on this
I have 2 screens 9000 and 9001 . In screen 9000 I have 2 radio buttons if I select the 2nd radiobutton then the screen 9001 should display inthat some column has to be hide inthe table control. I have used this code but still it is not hiding please help me on that
I used this code in PBO of 9001 screen
LOOP AT SCREEN.
IF wopr = 'X'.
IF screen-group2 = 'ABC'.
IF screen-name = 'ZMMT_EKKO-MATNR' or screen-name = 'ZMMT_EKKO-BANFN'.
screen-active = ''.
screen-invisible = '1'.
screen-input = ''.
MODIFY SCREEN.
ENDIF.
ENDIF.
ENDIF.
ENDLOOP.
Even I tried this code also in the same screen 9001
loop at tbl_rfq-cols into cols.
IF wopr = 'X'.
IF screen-group2 = 'ABC'.
IF cols-screen-name = 'ZMMT_EKKO-MATNR' or cols-screen-name = 'ZMMT_EKKO-BANFN'.
cols-screen-input = '0'.
cols-invisible = '1'.
endif.
MODIFY tbl_rfq-cols FROM cols INDEX sy-tabix.
endif.
endif.
endloop.Hi Balaji,
To hide a column in a table control on screen.
In the PBO of the screen, inside
loop with control <tab_ctrl_name>.
module modify_tab.
endloop.
Say for a column, you take group1 as 'ABC'.
In this module you can use the group for the input/output fields and the display/hide them as per your requirements.
if <condition>.
loop at screen.
if screen-group1 = 'ABC'. "say textbox (column for a table) has group1 as ABC
screen-invisible = 'X'. "hide a column
screen-active = ' '.
endif.
modify screen.
elseif <condition>.
loop at screen.
if screen-group1 = 'ABC'. "say textbox (column for a table) has group1 as ABC
screen-invisible = ' '. "display a column
screen-active = 'X'.
endif.
modify screen.
endif.
Similarly, you can use this code for other columns also.
Hope this solves your problem.

Acrobat XI full screen mode: how to hide the window control frame
i mainly use Acrobat to prepare full screen presentations and training, and it is annoying not being able to hide the window control
i previous versions the window control frame was always hidden / please bring this option backThanks, but my ID CS6 is already set to open as a "normal window". What I'm trying to resolve is the sizing and positioning of that "normal window".
I found one older post (http://forums.adobe.com/message/4609791) from someone who has the same problem, and it looks as if their question was never resolved, either. I haven't tried the script mentioned in the other message that has a link from that one. Btw, I've never seen a Window > Application Frame option within InDesign CSx for Microsoft Windows. -
CRVS2010 Beta - WPF Viewer, how to hide the GroupTree control?
All,
I would like to turn off the display of the GroupTree for my reports using some property or function call?
I would also like to hide the text "Main Report" displayed in the status bar. This is for the WPF viewer, not the WinForms viewer.
Thanks,
StanFor those who are using the WinForms viewer you can use the following code to hide/show the grouptree control. Add this property to the class that is hosting the viewer.
public bool ShowGroupTree
set
Control control = null;
for (int i = 0; i < m_Viewer.Controls.Count; i++)
control = m_Viewer.Controls<i>;
if (control is ReportGroupTree)
{ //Hide the Group tree by default.
control.Visible = value;
continue;

Hide menus until logged in ?
I am probably gonig to switch over my company's site from
Typo3 to DW/ASP (or PHP) solution, since editing with Typo3 was too
complicated for most users.
But one thing was extremely easy: hiding menus until the user
actually had access to them.
What I try to do is the following:
For users that are NOT logged in, the menus could be like
[products] [about]
but if you ARE logged in, the menus could be
[products] [about] [news]
HOW do I do this ? I understand about authentication, but not
about how to hide stuff until logging in. Do I really have to put a
code block around each menu item ?Here is an asp example of showing a link
><%if session("MM_UserAuthorization") = "Social" then
%><a
href="Social.asp">Social Functions</a><% Else
%>Social Functions<% End
If %>
If the user has social area clearance they received the link
otherwise
it is just a string
you can change it to something like -- Session("MM_Username")
<> ""
--to test for a loged in user
Hope this helps -

How to hide save changes alert window when no changes made to the form
hi,
in my form when i close the form without making any changes it displays do you want to save the changes alert.how to hide this alert when no changes are made to the form window.
regards
YesukannanBe advised that this solution will also exit the form without saving the changes and asking anything if the user did make changes.
You're probably changing some field from a PL/SQL trigger (hint: post-query or when-new-record-instance are likely). If you set the value of a field from a trigger or program unit that also marks the record as changed for Forms. Forms will then ask to save the changes when exiting the form.
If you want to prevent this, reset the record status after you change the field in the PL/SQL code. -

Surajit.Hi,
In the PBO (in a module outside to the LOOP...ENDLOOP), use this
MODULE status_0100 OUTPUT.
IF sy-ucomm EQ space. "Give the function code on which you want to make your table control go invisible
"Give a space if you want your table control to remail invisible on display of the screen
CLEAR: t_header[].
LOOP AT tabcontrol1-cols[] INTO wa_control1.
wa_control1-invisible = '1'.
MODIFY tabcontrol1-cols[] FROM wa_control1 INDEX sy-tabix.

How to hide close icon in Dialog framework
JDev 10g.
Any idea how to hide/disable close icon in a dialog launched by using:
<af:commandButton action="dialog:editEmpAngDetails"
partialSubmit="true"
useWindow="true"
windowHeight="..."
windowWidth="..."/>
Dialog appears as a new browser window, and I want to force user to use one of the Save/Cancel button, in order to perform Commit/Rollback.
So, I need a way to hide browser close 'X' icon.
Any idea ?Hi...
I got a further lead in this problem... In the class ADMDialog.h, in the comments described for Create & Modal functions for creating ADM Dialogs, there are some options described for the last parameter of these functions:
ADMInt32 ADMAPI (*Modal)(SPPluginRef inPluginRef, const char* inName,
ADMInt32 inDialogID, ADMDialogStyle inDialogStyle,
ADMDialogInitProc inInitProc, ADMUserData inUserData, ADMInt32 inOptions);
Now, there are some values that can be given in that last parameter which define our creation options for the dialog. One of them is kADMModalDialogHasPaletteSystemControlsOption, which too is defined in the same class (ADMDialog.h) & which, as the comments say, shows a close box at the top right corner of modal dialogs.
So, I implemented this as,
sADMDialog->Modal(fPluginRef, "My Dialog", kMyDialog, kADMModalDialogStyle, NULL, NULL, kADMModalDialogHasPaletteSystemControlsOption);
This compiled just fine, but the dialog appeared without any close icon. Now, what to do?
Please guide me on this...

How to hide controls/indicators for different user selection?
I am trying to simulate time interval analyzer using labview tools but I have a problem in making identical screen as it is on HP 5371A. The only problem is when you choose different arming mode, text pops up on the bottom with different parameters for every mode. So I am trying to build my front panel so that I will have identical features as on HP screen but how can I make some controls/variables (such as delay in secs) dissappear from F.P. for particular arming modes and then again appear for other cases (modes). Thanks in advance for help
Attachments:
HP5371A.vi 154 KBWhat you'll need to do is to use a while loop to monitor the state of the control. Based on that, you can make other controls visible or invisible, change the strings of a single control, or make controls enabled or disabled. I've attached a simple VI that shows how to make multiple controls visible and invisible. I've only done a few of the arming mode options. For a complete solution, you're going to have a lot of property nodes and I would look at using control references inside of a sbVI. Another way to do it is to forget about emulating the instrument's panel altogether and use the versatility of a computer screen. You've got a lot more real estate than most instruments and have things like tab controls that a user can select.

How to hide items on Windows 8 File Explorer Ribbon
Scenario
This article describes how to hide items on the file explorer ribbon in Windows 8 and Windows 8.1.
Method
We can implement it via customizing the permission of the related registry keys.
Note: Before you make changes to a registry key or subkey, we recommend that you export, or make a backup copy, of the key or subkey.
Before you make changes to a registry key or subkey, we recommend that you
export, or make a backup copy, of the key or subkey.
Step 1:
Open
Registry Editor and locate to following registry key under which you can find the corresponding keys of the items on the File Explorer Ribbon.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\CommandStore\shell\
In the following figure, it shows the Add a network location item on the file explorer ribbon, and the corresponding
registry key in Registry Editor.
Step 2:
Take ownership of the registry key
Note: You can take ownership
of a registry key if you are logged on as an administrator or if you have been specifically assigned the permission to take ownership of the registry key by the current owner.
Right-click on the registry key which you want to take ownership of,
and then select
Permissions... option.
Click on
Advanced button to grant special permissions in the key.
At the top to the right of the current
Owner, click on the Change link.
Enter
Administrator in the Enter the object name to select
box, and then click on Check Names.
Click on
OK twice to apply.
Step 3:
Change the permission of the registry key.
On
Permissions for the key name display dialog, click
Administrators in the Group or user names window, and then select the
Allow check box for
Full Control
option.
Click
Users in the Group or user names window, and then select the
Deny
check box for
Full Control
option.
Step 4:
Click on
Apply and OK to save the changes and the following figure shows the modified permissions and owner.
Step 5:
When you open File Explorer, the item you would like to hide disappears. For your information, the following is an example:
Item: Add a network location
Corresponding Registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\CommandStore\shell\Windows.AddNetworkLocation
For advanced users
You can also deploy script with Set-Acl which is a PowerShell command to take ownership and change permissions
of the keys. For your information, please refer to the following articles to learn more about this command:

Welcome to your feedbacks.
Please click to vote if the post helps you. This can be beneficial to other community members reading the thread.The reason they gave was it is possible for the file to stay open when done with the file. (not properly closing) As the driver would be accessing the file to retrieve the thumbnail.
The thing is a driver is nothing more than a program it self. Therefore it is capable of opening and closing a file and placing the thumbnail into the database for that folder. It then would be capable to verify if the thumbnail exists in that database. Since the driver only has to run when explorer is open in that folder's view, it really is not running that often.
The catch I can see it when both Illustrator and explorer are running at the same time. Which one should close the file? The solution would be a small app that verifies that both programs are running and has control of clean up when both have closed. The driver and Illustrator could also in theory check and see if the other is running, if it is do nothing if not then close the file.
So it really boils down to having the driver and Illustrator talking to each other. -
In SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), drill-down is an action we can apply to any report item to hide and show other report items. They all are ways that we can organize and display data to help our users understand our report better. In this article,
we are talking about how to use parameter to control the Expand/Collapse drill-down options in SSRS report.
Consider that the report has a dataset (dsSales) with following fields: SalesTerritoryGroup, SalesTerritoryCountry, CalendarYear, SalesAmount.
1. The report has the following group settings:
Parent Group: SalesTerritoryGroup
Child Group: SalesTerritoryCountry
Child Group: CalendarYear
Details: SalesAmount
2. Add three parameters in the report:
GroupExpand:
Available Values: “Specify values”
Label: Yes Value: Yes
Label: No Value: No
Default Values: “Specify values”
Value: Yes
CountryExpand:
Available Values: “Specify values”
Label: Yes Value: =IIF(Parameters!GroupExpand.Value="No",Nothing,"Yes")
Label: No Value: No
Default Values: “Specify values”
Value: =IIF(Parameters!GroupExpand.Value="No","No","Yes")
YearExpand:
Available Values: “Specify values”
Label: Yes
Value: =IIF(Parameters!GroupExpand.Value="No" or Parameters!CountryExpand.Value="No",Nothing,"Yes")
Label: No Value: No
Default Values: “Specify values”
Value: =IIF(Parameters!GroupExpand.Value="No" or Parameters!CountryExpand.Value="No","No","Yes")
3. Right click SalesTerritoryCountry icon in the Row Groups dialog box, select Group Properties.
4. Click Visibility in the left pane. Select “Show or hide based on an expression” and type with following expression:
=IIF(Parameters!GroupExpand.Value="Yes", False, True)
Select “Display can be toggled by this report item” option, and select “SalesTerritoryGroup” in the drop down list.
5. Use the same method setting CalendarYear, (Details) drill-down with following expression:
=IIF(Parameters!CountryExpand.Value="Yes", False, True)
=IIF(Parameters!YearExpand.Value="Yes", False, True)
6. Click SalesTerritoryGroup text box in the tablix. Select InitialToggleState property in the Properties dialog box, and type following expression:
=IIF(Parameters!GroupExpand.Value="Yes", True, False)
7. Use the same method setting SalesTerritoryCountry, CalendarYear text box with following expression:
=IIF(Parameters!CountryExpand.Value="Yes", True, False)
=IIF(Parameters!YearExpand.Value="Yes", True, False)
After that, when we preview the report, we can use these three parameters to expand/collapse drill-down.
Note:
In our test, we may meet following issue. We can check the expression of InitialToggleState property to troubleshooting the issue.

How to hide Actions Column in Table
Hi All,
I have a simple requirement: I am showing a table (items)
- the "Actions" column (Column with Buttons to Edit and Delete a particualr row) must not be show -> no changes to the table are allowed (I need to hide/ disable this column)
How can I hide this column od the table?
I have found out that the field is called thtmlb_oca and that htere is a getter method get-thtmlb_oca. However, the method does not contain coding and I do not know how to HIDE this field/ column...
Please help me here..
Thanks, JohannesHi Johannes,
To remove the column completely,
you need to comment this line in the method GET_TABLE_LINE_SAMPLE of the Table View Context node class.
TYPES: BEGIN OF line,
* thtmlb_oca type crm_thtmlb_one_click_action.
INCLUDE TYPE xxxx.
TYPES: END OF line.
Disabling can be controlled in the method GET_OCA_T_TABLE of the same class by putting code to delete the button.
LOOP AT rt_actions ASSIGNING <fs_actions>.
<fs_actions>-active = abap_false.
ENDLOOP.
