How to identify exception stack traces in log files programmatically
Hello,
I would like to develop a utility program which audits the command line or log files and detects exceptions.
Do you know any good way of identifying exception stack traces from a stream?
Are you aware of any existing tool that does something similar?
Thank you in advance,
Kostas
I tried to copy/paste the entrire log file in the console but it seems that the copy/paste functionality in not included in the console pane.
Regardless that problem is there any way to do that programmatically from my application?

Execution of the external process returns an error code value of '1'.Not sure where went wrong. Already followed many suggestions are already there in different sites. But, so far no luck.
Is there any path I need to add in CLASSPATH other than what I have?
Also, check few oracle docs regarding the same. But, nothing can eliminate this problem.
Can you please suggest?
Really appreciate your time for reading this.

Dear Guru's,
I am not able to solve the above issue for last couple of days.
I am newbie to the webservice
My Issue...
I am using Jdeveloper 11.1.2.4.0 Release 2
1. Using Jdev I built one small Web Service with two methods.
While testing the Webservice...
I passed User Id as Parameter and it successfully return the values (user id, user name and description) from fnd_user table
2. I created another application to consume the web service i created.
1. I added the webservice SOAP and added the method.
2. Created a jsf page and drag and drop the parameter and return values to the jsf page.
3. While executing the created jsf page I received the error message as below
"oracle.jbo.NoDefException: JBO-29114 ADFContext is not setup to process messages for this exception. Use the exception stack trace and error code to investigate the root cause of this exception. Root cause error code is JBO-25058. Error message parameters are {0=Attribute, 1=UserName, 2=UserName}"
Even I know that this issue is repeated one in our forum, I was not able to solve this issue.
Can anybody help to solve this issue.

Exception Stack Trace as String?
Hello all!
I need to convert the stack trace returned by the printStackTrace() method (return type void) into a String. Does anyone know of a good way of doing this?
My interest in this stems from a desire to send any Java error messages to myself via email rather than having them displayed on the computer screen, which is remote to my workstation. Any help, hints, etc. are much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.I don't know of a way to solve this via the Throwable API alone, but you could do one of the following things: a) send the stack trace to a known file via printStackTrace(PrintWriter s), then parse that file routinely and mail the information or b) extend PrintWriter with a class that sends the information to you when its write methods are called. Personally, I would write a log class that writes the stack trace to a file and then emails that file.

Whenever an exception object is created, its constructor is called. This constructor, calls super class constructor to fill in the exception stack trace and then the constructor uses printStackTrace() method to print the stack trace.
This should print the stack trace automatically on the std out.
However, in our exception handling code, unless we specifically use printStackTrace() it does not print stack trace.
What is the reason for this?Hi,
I am aware that not all Exceptions print stack trace to std out.
I am specifically refering to SQLException. The constructor source code is
public SQLException(String reason) {
super(reason);
this.SQLState = null;
this.vendorCode = 0;
if (!(this instanceof SQLWarning)) {
if (DriverManager.getLogWriter() != null) {
printStackTrace(DriverManager.getLogWriter());

ERP FORMS TRACE(FRD) LOG FILE 만드는 방법 - R11.5.X
==============================================
PURPOSE
ERP Forms trace(FRD) log file 만드는 방법 - R11.5.X
Explanation
FRD log
1. ERP US(영문) Version일 경우
http://serverhostname:port/dev60cgi/f60cgi?&config=DBSID&record=collect&log=쓰기가 가능한 Directory/form_trc.txt&lang=US
http://ERP.oracle.co.kr:8000/dev60cgi/f60cgi?&config=PROD&record=collect&log=/u01/app/oraERP/temp/form_trc.txt&lang=US
===================================================================================================
http://{hostname:port}/dev60cgi/f60cgi?config=PROD&record=collect&log=/u01/app/oraERP/temp/form_trc.txt&lang=KO&env=NLS_LANG='korean_korea.{characterset}'
http://ERP.oracle.co.kr:8000/dev60cgi/f60cgi?&config=PROD&record=collect&log=/u01/app/oraERP/temp/form_trc.txt&lang=KO&env=NLS_LANG='KOREAN_KOREA.KO16KSC5601'
Hi Hamish,
If you managed to solve this issue, please indicate how, because I'm facing exactly the same...
Thanks&Regards,

Thanks,
AshokI am not too sure but may be the below two undocumented commands might yield the desired result.

ERP FORMS TRACE(FRD) LOG FILE 만드는 방법 - R11.0.X
==============================================
PURPOSE
ERP Forms trace(FRD) log file 만드는 방법 - R11.0.X
Explanation
FRD log
<"module=/.../fnd/11.0.28/forms/US/FNDSCSGN userid=applsyspub/pub@PROD fndnam=apps">
3.
FNDSCSGN 뒤의 parameter에 record=collect log=/tmp/oracle_frd.log 를 추가하시면 됩니다.
<"module=/.../fnd/11.0.28/forms/US/FNDSCSGN record=collect log=/tmp/oracle_frd.log userid=applsyspub/pub@PROD fndnam=apps">

How can I generate and/or retrieve log files from iPad
How can I generate and/or retrieve log files from iPad?
OBS!
There are NO files apearing in ~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/MobileDevice/<name of iPad> so where else can i find it?
I want to force it to produce a log, or find it within the iPad.
It is needed for support of an app.Not sure on porting out the log data, but you can find it under General->About->Diagnostic&Usage->Diagnostic&Usage Data. It will give you a list of your log data, and you can get additional details by selecting the applicable log you are looking for. Hope this helps.
