How to identify largest BW objects ?

Hello All,
I need to identify biggest BW objects within a BW system.
Any idea of table name that holds that kind of information for BW system (object tech name and its size) ?

BW repositorty tables are there.But tables are different for different type of BW Objects. and they don't store sizes.
Like - RSDIOBJ - For InfoObject
RSDDSO - For DSOs
RSDCUBE - For InfoCubes

How to identify and delete objects after failure of registering XML schema

Hi,
I have tried to register a XML schema with many global elements but failed.
I have checked the view DBA_XML_SCHEMA and found that there is an entry for this failed XML schema and the disk spaces would not be freed after the failure of registration as well.
I have tried DBMS_XMLSCHEMA.deleteSchema() with DELETE_CASCADE_FORCE but failed with ORA-31000: Resource is not XDB document.
How can I identify and delete the objects for this failed XML schema and free up the disk space ?
I would not prefer to use 'DROP USER ... CASCADE' since there are other objects owned by this user.

you can get them from user_objects.
but you have to identify them manuallly if your schema has other objects other then created by the xml schema creation process.
Note these objects will be cases senistitive. so you should enclose them with double quotes during deletion.

I have a data table in my jsf page which populate by myList (a property of type List<myObject> in myBean) that contains a list of myObject objects.
Within data table, the 'amount' property of myObject is in a h:inputText named 'amountText'.

I guess, it is up to your choice about design how you want to implement.
you have two ways....
1) Use valueChangeListener attribute of the text field, as it will be called for the row of the database on which the bind property value is actually changed.
2) Not prefered, but you can use setterMethod of amount in the your object, and can compare its new value with the old one and can decide the consequence.

I believe you will have to call your DBA on the phone in that case.
You can query something with a select ... for update nowait.
If it raises an exception you can handle it within a when section.

How to create a view object and attach with extended AM

Hi,
I tried to create new vo and attach this vo with the extended AM. But it is throwing error like 'PC.NAME : invalid identifier' (Actually this PC.NAME is exiting one).
Now i want to know how to create a view object similar like seeded one but with one additional condition in the where clause.
It is possible though extension, but i want to create two view object similar like seeded one, one with some other condition in the where clause
and another one with some other condition.
So for my requirement, i'll extend one VO and i'll add my condition but how to do it for second condition.
But i want same seeded VO with two different condition.
Any suggestions please,

There is no need to attach the newly created VO with extended AM. You need to attach the same with the standard AM.

How to identify the name of my smtp-mail host dynamically?

I want to send an email from my system which has an internet connection.
I don't know how to identify and mention the name of my smtp server ie; the smtp-host name that should be mentioned in my propetries object 'props' as props("mail.smtp.host","smtphostname");
I want this program to work on other systems also,ie; It should dynamically find out what is the smtp-email host for the computer on which the program is running and set the smtp-host name in the 'properties' object dynamically.
I will be thankful if anybody sends me code to solve this problem.

Write a mail scan to look for typical settings
such as domain, mail.domain, smtp.domain, smtp.mail.domain
where domain is after @ in an email address
Have a SocketSearch class that uses non blocking via java.nio.channels.*
so it can be interruptable and scan for these typical mail settings on default port 25 - The code using these interruptable socket can each be threaded to find the host/port and should find it in seconds
Once found, store the settings in a configuration so you don't have to scan again unless it doesn't work anymore...
If can't find the socket host/port via typical settings, next use a Java class that does a nslookup based on MX records - For example if you type "nslookup -type=mx javasoft.com" and you get mail exchanger = mail.java.sun.com and if you "telnet mail.java.sun.com 25" - you can see the port is open for sending emails.
No expert in MX records for a domain to find the exact one and someone else can share some light on this...

right click on cube..click on 'display data model'..
there expand the tree for each dimension..
under it..u will see list of char in that dimension..
for some characteristics u will see an arrow beside it..expand it..u will see further list of char..(with yellow icons)..
these are the list of attributes for that particular characteristic..
for char that have no attr..there will be no arrow beside it..
by this..u can know which char in ur cube hold master data..

Dear Vincent,
You can get the report name for the Business Object which contains the multi-line container, from the BO itself. Put a break-point in the report and try executing the workflow. The multiline container is like an internal table in the report. See if the internal table is initial while execution.

I would recommend using the authentication mechanism that's guaranteed by the servlet spec. If you do that, you can just call
request.getRemoteUser()
to get the user name across multiple pages.
If you want to use your own login scheme, you can create a new session object and map it to a user name somewhere in your app. Or you can just put the name of the user on the session. But the preferred way is to use the default authentication scheme defined by the spec.

I want to trigger double_click event:

The problem is I don't know how to identify in which ALV the user double_clicked.
Is there solution?

Hi Divya,
The queues R3* and CSA* that you have specified are qRFC queues. qRFC queues are data queues which transport data to and fro different systems.
There are also the tRFC queues which are triggered whenever you make RFC calls to connect to another system.
Queues with prefix R3AD* - for delta download from R3->CRM
Queues with prefix R3AU* - for data upload from CRM->R3
Queues with prefix R3AR* - used to transfer data during request load from R3->CRM
Queues with prefix R3AI* - for initial load from R3->CRM
Queues with prefix CSA* - these are validation object specific queues used for processing/persisting data in CRM tables in a serialized manner. E.g. CSABUPA* for business partner,CSA_ORDER* for sales order etc.
You can administer and monitor the queues in trax. SMQR,SMQS.
