How to implement secure help in SharePoint 2010?

Hi,
We are having a sharepoint site running over HTTPS. When I click on help link given on top right side, I get a security warning saying that only secure content content can be displayed. This is probably due to the non secure content(http) used by microsoft
help.
Can anyone please suggest how to implement microsoft help having secure content?

Yes office.microsoft.com URL works when I use https:// instead of http:// .
Can you please let me know in which file this help function is used?
Please provide me with an example if possible.

Extend the controller and get the handle of the current row of the VO. Set set the attribute context filed accordingly. Also get the handle fo the flexbean and set the context. According rendering would change.

You can use content editor webpart to run javascript. Java script will redirect users from accessing the site. You need t o specify the user Id; it wont work on DL

+1 to this. The closest that you'll get with list / level features is using Information Rights. You can trigger workflows based on time/date columns, which may serve your needs.
Failing that, you will indeed need a custom timer job.

How to Archive a list in sharepoint 2010

Hi
I think large list is the inevitable trend and will be a very common issue faced by everyone. We are a medium business using sharepoint 2010.
For past 3 years, one of our SharePoint lists is over 20000 items.
From my end:
1. I have indexed some important columns and created filtered views but it does not help much.
2. I have increased the list threshold value to 25000( Even though the best practice is 5000).
3. Also, I have set the list template size to 500MB
4. When I try to save the list as a template, SharePoint throws an exception error.
5. I tried working on the code

below but it looks complicated for me.

What I need:
I need to archive old items in the list. After archiving, I might need to refer to the archived items from time to time.
As I'm newbie to SharePoint, it would be great, if someone can elaborate in detail with what can be done.

What vesion of SharePoint are you using? If you want to move items across from one list to another (as per your prefered option), something like: -
Create a list template of you list with no content
Recreate it on the same level as the main lis
Create an SPD workflowthat'll copy an item to the new list and delete the original. Make sure it doesn't have a triggering action
Use an Expiration Information Rights Policy to triger the workflow.
Please note that this won't preserve the original author / create metadata as Alex has already said.

How to implement SEARCH HELP for input field in WDA

Hi All,
I am doing a tool for my team. in this tool there are 4 input fields to show different processes. I implemented the 4 input fields and also bind the respective tables to these fields successfully. Actually I want to filter the data between 2 fields . Means the data in the 2nd input field should be based on the 1st input field. Means when I'll select for example 'CHI' (code for CHINA) in the 1st input field the 2nd field meant for country name should show all country name with value 'CHINA'. But the problem is that all values related to each field are in different table with no foreign key relationship and also some combinations are in single table..
I have tried the import and export parameter method for search help but no luck till now.
Can anyone please suggest me how to implement this scenario..

Your Requirement can be implemented by OVS(Object Value selector) This is the custom search help .So that you can define on what basis the value has to be fetched.

You need to use the component WDR_OVS.
It has 3 phases
In phase 1
     You will fetch the value from input field to F4 help dialog box.
In phase 2
     You will generate the search results , in this phase look for the input value given in field 2 and accordingly generate search result for the field 3.
In phase 3
     The selected value will be returned to the original screen.

When you activate a feature on the site collection, the feature should be scoped to site or farm, the error message shows it cannot find the specific feature, this will happen when you have a feature in web
scope or the feature isn’t installed.
So, to troubleshooting this issue:
Verify whether the feature is scoped to web. Please go to
Site Setting->Site Features . If the feature is a web scope feature, then add the feature to webfeatures.
Make sure the feature is installed correctly.

I have read the GlobalPlatform docs and 'scoured' the Internet for some useful advice on how to implement DM with Java Card.
The GlobalPlatform docs say that "The interface between a SD and the Card Manager is not defined by Open Platform" and that "It is assumed that a SD cannot be developed in the same manner as a normal app". How then is someone supposed to be able to implement a system that includes Java Card applets and post-issuance uploading of applets using DM?
I have purchased the Aspects Developer IDE with DM supported Java Card smart cards but am at a loss of how to actually implement the SD applets with DM....I know this technology is not supposed to be easy , but it should be possible to research and find the information that is required to learn it.
Can anyone point me in the direction of somewhere that will provide me with some direction?

I have a site, but i have a confusion about how to identify Site Owner.
I know Site Collection Administrator, but i dont understand how to identify SIte Owner.

Site Owner is the user who has full control over the site who can perform all the task related to site like Site Permissions, Manage Lists etc. You can check the associated Site Owner group at
