  • Import UDF values  in DTW

    Hi Experts
I want to import UDF value using DTW. I am importing PO that has some udf also. I want to import thes udf value in the new database. Please suggest me how can I do?
    Thanks
    Best Regards
    Jitender

    Hi Jitender,
In DTW window, you can see the 'Customize template' menu. Using this menu you can create a new template. In that template, the UDF will be available at the last cloumn. Standard template didn't contains the UDF's!

  • How to import Incoming Payments via DTW

    Hello all,
I am importing opening balances for Customers via DTW.  My client wants to import all the open Invoices at their original amount, and then import the incoming payments against them to have them net out to the correct remaining balance.  I already know how to import the invoices.  I'm looking at using the PaymentDrafts template in DTW for the Incoming payments but I could use some guidance.  Can anyone provide and example of the data required to both import the incoming payments and apply them to the appropriate AR Invoice?
    Thanks,

  • Importing UDF data through DTW

    Hi Experts,
I am using SAP Business One 2007B PL00. I have created 2 UDF's on row level in marketing documents. These fields i have defined to track the legacy PO/SO number and the other UDF to track the date in yyyymm format which is present in legacy and is required by the client. I have added these UDF's in my DTW template through the Interface provided in DTW. When i do the simulation run there are no errors in DTW. But when i actually import in my database then both the above UDF's are not imported. The rest of the fields are imported without any error. The DTW does not give any error log. Any solution?
    Thanks in advance.

Could you check the MAP RULES tab in Step 3 of DTW and check if the fields are mapped properly.
Also, go to the Target Data tab and check
Add all items into Schema ...

  • How to import Excisable items through DTW

    Hi Experts,
How i can import the excisable items through DTW,  In which column of Oitem Template i have to mention that Item is excisable or not.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Pankaj Sharma

    Hi Pankaj Sharma,
Not all fields are exposed to DI API.  Therefore you may not be able to upload all fields by DTW.  Excisable items might be one of unavailable field.
    Thanks,

    hi,
    Check below note.
Note 878906 - How to import User Defined Tables via the DTW
    Summary
    Symptom
You need to import data into a User Defined Table(UDT) with the Data transfer Workbench(DTW)
    Other terms
UDT, User Defined Table, import, data, DTW
    Reason and Prerequisites
    Need for information
    Solution
You create, for example, a User Defined Table(UDT) called "UDT" with the following fields
    ZIPCODE
    ADDRESS
In the database you actually have 4 fields since Code and Name are created automatically when creating a user defined table. When filling a UDT you must ensure that you fill these fields also and bear in mind that Code needs to be a unique number.
    Code
    Name
    ZIPCODE
    ADDRESS
To fill a UDT with information you would need a template something like this (It is also attached)
    Code,Name,U_ZIPNAME,U_STREET
    code,name,,
    0,0,12345,Street 1
    1,1,12346,Street 2
With the DTW you can then select the @UDT table from the Object Type list in step 2 of the DTW wizard.

  • How to import Symbocic  Character in Items Code through DTW

    Dear all
My client maintained their Item code as Alphanumeric with Symbolic character example-(Item Code Like 375-1802041-Б2, 375-1802041-2u03A0, 375-1802041-Б2, 375-1802041-Ж and 375-1802041-я).
The problem is when I import this codes through DTW using CSV format the all Symbolic character are automatically convert  to u2018?u2019 and the Data import was failed the message show u201C invalid Item Codeu201D.
Then how to import this item codes in SAP B1 through DTW.
Please help me to solve above problem.
    Thanks
    Subhas Pal

It is better if you just use standard ASCII characters for Item Code.  Think about website address, will you use those special characters?
You may try to put those special codes to part of item description field if you can.
To replace those symbols, you may use number to get one-to-one mapping. Such as Ж = 16, Я = 42
    Thanks,

  • "Quantity falls into negative inventory" Error when importing Goods Receipt through DTW

    Hi,
We extending the automation between our production plant an SAP Business one.
We're using DTW import "Goods Receipt PO" currently and want to extend this to internal productions based on Production Orders.
I've created three csv files to create the import. OIGN, IGN1 an SNRT (as we use serial number based products)
    Some remarks:
    - The stock is sufficient to do the production. No negative stock is created by this the production order.
    - The used materials are all based on "backflush", so should be handled automatically
    - Using the SAP GUI everything goes well. No errors.
hereby the files I've used (the actual serial number file is of course longer):
    OIGN:
    DocNum;DocType;HandWritten;DocDate;PartialSupply
    DocNum;DocType;Handwrtten;DocDate;PartSupply
    1;dDocument_Items;tNO;20140402;Y
    IGN1:
    ParentKey;LineNum;BaseType;BaseEntry;BaseLine;Quantity
    DocNum;LineNum;BaseType;BaseEntry;BaseLine;Quantity
    1;0;202;92;;49
    SRNT:
    ParentKey;LineNum;InternalSerialNumber;ManufactureDate;ReceptionDate;Notes;BaseLineNumber
    DocNum;LineNum;DistNumber;MnfDate;InDate;Notes;DocLineNum
    1;0;0409001;20140331;20140402;Firmware=SD-TRPE v1.12 y13m10d16;0
    1;1;0409002;20140331;20140402;Firmware=SD-TRPE v1.12 y13m10d16;0
    1;2;0409004;20140331;20140402;Firmware=SD-TRPE v1.12 y13m10d16;0
    1;3;0409005;20140331;20140402;Firmware=SD-TRPE v1.12 y13m10d16;0
What am I doing wrong? Do we need the handle the goods issue manually when using DTW instead of the auto backflush method in SAP?
    Looking forward to your response.
    Kind regards,
    Vincent

  • How to import Expected finish date

    Hi all,
It would be a great help if someone would tell me how to import the Expected finish date in P6 using Excel import. I actualized the start of an activity by changing the actual start date and tried to change the Expected finish date the same way....but the activity got actualized but didnt get the expected finish date .
    Plz help

Since the Excel export has an * before the name, that indicates it can't be imported. How about creating a UDF (User Defined Field) for Activitiy Finish Dates, Importing it and then doing a Global Change from the UDF to the Expected Finish? That should work.
