How to include jsps's of one application into another

Hi people,
I want to include a jsp from one web application into another. I have specified in the web.xml in Tomcat/conf directory that both the applications are "crosscontext=true". But tomcat fails to include the jsp from the other web application. It always tries to look for that resource with respect to the context of the current application.
Any idea how do I go about it. Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated.

In the standard Sun JSTL tag library there is a tag that will include the output of the jsp in your jsp. I beleive the tag is called "include" or "import" but I forget the exact name. I also believe that you'll have to pass any needed parameters.

Use the V() function from pl/sql.
e.g. V('P3_MY_ITEM')
will return the value of that page item.
As long as the pl/sql is called from within the Apex environment.

How can I move part of one photo into another photo?

In older versions of Photoshop you could see two or more frames in the work area and cut an paste parts of one photo into another photo by using the "move" tool after the area to be moved was selected. I am having trouble discerning how to achieve this action in CC. Could someone in the forum with this experience give me some steps to take to complete this process? Thanks.

How to send an object from one application to another?

Hi all,
I have two applications over the same server. The first application needs to send an object to the other application.
I try to put the object as a session attribute, but in the moment that the second application tries to get the attribute, the attribute doesn't exist.
Does anybody now how can pass an object from the one application to the other?

In the other application in the event event handler I try to do the following :

In the message handler fn, the variable csMessage is pointing to a address but the value is a bad ptr. On accessing the variable like *csMessage it crashes. I have created the variable in heap when the message is posted. So I hope the variable will be in memory.

The ultimate problem is that when you place a CString in a wparam like that you are putting an address. That address only has meaning in the first program. Your second program cannot access the first programs memory (this is good, otherwise misbehaving
programs could take down all applications in Windows). But it does make transferring data between programs more complicated.
Some messages like WM_COPYDATA will copy a data buffer from one process to another and are appropriate for what you are trying to do, but a custom message like
WM_THIRD_PARTY_NOTIFICATION is not one of them.
By the way your example has a memory leak as well since you would have no way to ever clean up the string you allocate in OnBnClickedOk

I am testing Elements 8 and would like to, for example, take an eagle from one image and insert it into another. I've done this with other editing programs, but can't see how to do it here. If one is to use layers, then I have another problem. How does one open layers from more than one image in the palettes?

You can only view the layers of one image at a time. I believe E8's default setting is a maximized setting which allows for only one image in the workspace. If you change the setting in the menu to Cascade, you can have several images open in your workspace. I believe, that's under Window<Arrange. The layer's palette will display whichever image is currently selected.
There are several ways to do it. Here are a couple...
Copy/Paste...
One way is to select the eagle with a selection tool...magnetic lasso whatever...then copy the eagle into your clipboard. Edit<copy. (Shortcut = Ctrl + C on PC; Cmd + C on Mac).
Open the second image then paste. (Shortcut = on PC Ctrl + V; on Mac Cmd + V). This will add the eagle to the current image. Use the move tool to position the eagle.
Drag/Drop...
Alternately, change window<Arrange in the menu bar to Cascade. This will allow you to have more than one image in your workspace.
Open both images. Select eagle with a selection tool. Once selected, switch to the move tool. Drag eagle into second image.
Alternately, you could also lift the eagle to it's own layer then drag it over using the move tool. Release the mouse button when you are over the second image to drop the eagle. (Shortcut to lift selected eagle from the background to it's own layer = on PC Ctrl + J; on Mac = Cmd + J.)
Note: Both images should be the same or close to same resolution. The image that is dragged will adjust (resize) to match the background image resolution. (Low resolution images dragged into high resolution images are tiny whereas high resolution images dragged into low resolution images would be huge).

now in this way i can lift one character at a time and copy it into another file (note i have not done the copy part in this code but that can be implemented) however this whole procedure is taking too much time if the size of the file is too big....kindly suggest another way to copy one file into another

have you ever copied and pasted a large file in Windows or another OS? Larger files take more time to copy, that's just how it is.

How to move an icon from one Pic into another Pic?

I haven't seen this question addressed so forgive me if this was already discussed.
I like to know how I can place a small smiley icon (pic) into another existing photo. In Photoshop Elements (be it 4.0 or 6.0) if I drag the the picture into Elements, it shows up and place it in the project bin. Here's the problem, when I drag the smiley icon onto the picture (which is already shown in Elements) it creates another window for the smiley icon and project bin instead of affixing itself onto the pic.
Yes, I can use Ctrl-A to copy the smiley face and then drag it onto the pic. But when I use Paint.net (a free program) it does exactly that asking me to confirm that I want to create a new layer. The difference is that with Paint.net I can drag 2 pics from the desktop and add them together within seconds. With Elements I have to do an extra step and, this extra step just seems unnecessary.
Is there a way to simply drag the smiley face onto the pic without creating another window (using Elements)?

How to copy a plugin from one application to another, is there an export possibility?

I am using Apex 4.2.2 with 10g and OHS.
There is a Gantt chart plugin in the Sample Calendar packaged application. I couldn't find that plugin for download.
When I open it (Application Builder>Application 76373>Shared Components>Plug-ins>Create / Edit)
it states:

*Internal Name (Value Required) COM.ORACLE.APEX.GANTT_CHART
Reference Master Plug-in From: 65708911358321918
It refreshes without an error when I press the 'Refresh Plugin' button.
I can copy the SQL code, can dowload the .css file, etc., but I guess it is not enough.
The Information section brings me the http://apex.oracle.com/plugins page, but there is no Gannt plugin.
Is there any possibility to use this plugin in the same workspace in another application?
Or sharing it? Or export and then import it?

In Application Builder -> Application XXXX -> Shared Components -> Plug-ins, click on plug-in name which will take you to plug-in details page. Here, on right hand side, you should see "Export Plug-in" under "Tasks". Click this link and follow the wizard.

How can i use calculation from one sheet into another sheet in discoverer

I have a function which has to be used for several calcualtions in discoverer report.For each row the function is called 8 times, Is there any way that i can create a caculation based on the function in one tab and use this value returned by the function in the other tabs in the discoverer so that i can eliminte the function being called 8 times for each row.

The report is Run based on the parameter for the Range of gl_date.
I registered these functions in discoverer and passing the parameter values to calculate the ratios. The 2 ratios are just one time calculations for the range of gl_date the report is run.
The i mulitiply Qualifying Sales Ratio with the columns Amount Manual, Amount Local and Amount Overseas to get Qualifyied Amount Manual, Qualified Amount Local , Qualifyied Amount Overseas and the Nonqualifing Sales Ratio with the same Amount Manual, Amount Local and Amount Overseas columns to get NonQualifyied Amount Manual, NonQualified Amount Local , NonQualifyied Amount Overseas.
This is the design i am approching now. For each record the function is called 8 times to calculates the qualifying and Non qualifying Sales ratios Ato caculate the other 6 columns based on these Ratio Calculations.
So i was thinking if there is any way that i can get the Ratios for a specific date range in the First tab and usethe Value of the ratios in the other tab so that the function call is minimized.

I am new user to OBIEE. I was given a task to merge two repositories. I tried a lot but couldn't do it. I went through many forums and discussions to find the relevant answer but couldn't find anything. Actually my requirement is to merge two repositories. For example, consider two repositories namely rpd1 and rpd2 respectively. Both repositories has their own set of objects. I just want all the objects of rpd2 to merge with rpd1 under the name rpd1. Is it possible? If it is possible... Please anyone let me know the steps to do it.

How can I automate pasting from one document into another?

Hi, I have a need for a document that I am regularly appending a blank form from another document to. I would typically just open the second document and select and copy the block of text and then return to my working document and enter a page break and then paste in the form, over and over. I do this so often that a way to automate this would be a huge help. However I have had little luck working with automator myself probably because I am missing something. But I would appreciate any ideas....Thanks

I am trying to create a spreadsheet that will pull data from another spreadsheet in a different file for a what if scenario. Is there a way I can reference a cell from that file besides adding a separate tab in the original file?

For Numbers '09 (Mac), the answer is no, Numbers does not support references to a cell in a separate file.
But the profile information at the bottom of your message, and the use of 'tab' in the message suggests you are using Numbers for iOS. I've requested your question be transferred to the iWork for iOS community, where the users of that version tend to be more plentiful than here, where the topic is Numbers (for Mac).
