How to include Print & Export Buttons in VC

I developed 1 Dashboard with Tables(4) & Graphs(4).
My requirement is to include PRINT & EXPORT TO PDF BUTTONS so that users can Print or export the all the items in dashboard or particular item to a PDF
Please advise how can i achieve this

Also if you want to print the dashboard follow th steps below -
1. Include one form & right click on it & go to 'Toolbars'
2. Create Button in it & assign the system action 'Print'
3. You will get various options for it (Print Table, Print Whole page etc.)
4. Select Print Whole page.
5. When you execute thei model in run time you will get one button in that. When user clicks this button, he will get normal print popup window which we get before printing anything.

Smartforms : How to include Printer commands in smartforms

I want to include printer command <esc>&l1T at the end of the smartform so that the printer can staple the form after printing.
Can any one please let me know how to include this in smart form ..?

You should use the following way:
- Copy the device type into the Customer name space.
- Go via transaction SPAD - Device types into the device type and
here to tab strip 'Print controls'. Here add a print control
with the following contents: \e&l1T
(without flag 'Hexadecimal'; the \e is the escape character)
- Now go to your Smartform and add a command node (right-click
on the tree, Create - Flow logic - Command) and enter the print
control name into the field 'Include Printer Control'.
This adds the print control at this point. You only have to
select the right position of the command node in the tree
(and therefore the point of time, when the sequence shall be sent).
- If you want to check the print data, which the SAP sends to the
printer (and therefore whether the escape sequence was included
correctly), you can use note 5799, method 2.

How can you add your own print and export buttons to the CR viewer toolbar?

I posted a previous question that was asking how to get around the Information Bar in IE7 when you export and print. Unfortunately the CR viewer file download code gets blocked by IE7 because the buttons don't directly download the file. However, I have been able to get a regular button that calls the following code and streams the file to the client and IE7 does not block it.

So here are my questions?
1. Is it possible to add a custom print control/icon to the CR viewer toolbar?
2. If one is not possible, then is it possible to override the CR viewer print and export buttons with your own subroutines like the one above?
I just want my page to look nice and hate to have print and export buttons outside of my CR viewer.

It might be possible to replace the buttons in a windows app since you can retrieve the toolbar as a toolbar object in the winform viewer ( ToolStrip toolBar = (ToolStrip) crystalReportViewer1.Controls[3]; ) however with a web app, it's a lot more difficult.
The problem is that that you need to parse the Request string to try and figure out if the print / export button was clicked. The code below makes the print button disappear if you click it, so you should be able to modify it to call your custom printing / exporting code instead (You have to do this check in a postback)

But wait a minute...where are you in the export choices File Menu or Share?. Are you doing

There has not been a File Menu/Export/Movie in that area since Premiere Elements 7. All exports in 9.0/9.0.1, see
what is under the Share header.
Since Premiere Elements 7, the File Menu/Export/ exists only for saving Titler titles. And to do that you highlight your title file
in Project and then go to File Menu/Export/Title which will be fully active.
Please let us know if that is the issue. If you want to export your Timeline content, I can provide more information for
the Share section choices that I mentioned in post 1.

In BIEE 11g,
How to hide the Print and Export button in analytics report or tasks pane ?
For example:
In console,I have created one userA which is belong to BIConsumer GROUP , when I make use of the highest user 'weblogic' to create one simple report, then the userA will login the analytivs to view this report (not dashboard), it will show the print and export as below.So customers do not want to give him the privilege for printing and exporting.
In addtion, go to catalog->tasks(left corner), it will also show the print and export button. So how to hide or not access these button?
Note: Maybe it can use the policy for consumer role for implementing this requirement, but I do not know how to modify the policy. Are you facing the problem? Thanks.

Hi,
1. Create seperate folder for Reports & Dashobard.
2. For BI_Consumer (userA) set the catalog permission to view Dashboard Folder only and remove permission on the Report Folder (you can give traverse permission but don't give Open permision).
3. By this user won't be able to open or run any reports in that folder and the only way he can see the reports is through Dashboard and on dashboard the export and print buttone can be removed very easily.

Crystal Report/STRUTS: Error (404) when clicking on Control Buttons (Print, Export, Next, Previous, etc...) on report viewer

Need help badly!!!
We are using the crystal reports plugin for STRUTS.
We are able to display the report in the crystal report viewer. However, when we click any control buttons (print, export, etc...), then we get:
JSPG0036E: Failed to find resource /Report-viewer.jsp
We then moved Report-viewer.jsp to the WebContents folder (root directory) and got a different error when we clicked any control button:
Error: 400 page not found
Does anyone know how to solve this problem? For instance, is there a setting or parameter that needs to be set?
Greatly appreciate any help!

Whenever we print the viewer does an auto postback, I believe due to this some of the values are getting missed. Moreover we are referring to the viewer and reportdocument object, it seems. So can you try this simple code in an application to see if it helps:

rdoc.Load("C:\TASKECrystalReports\Intraday.rpt");
rdoc.SetDatabaseLogon("uid","pwd");
rdoc.SetParameterValues("parameter name","value");

How to disable Print button on WebDynpro ABAP ALV

In WebDynpro ABAP, a standard menu appears around the ALV, that has a PRINT button and an EXPORT button.
Is there anyway to disable those buttons????

Print, Export and Page Navigation Buttons in the Report

When I view a report through CR4E, the generated report has 3 buttons namely Print, Export and Page Navigation buttons. But when I click on either of the buttons I get a 'null pointer exception'. This is a critical error as I am unable to navigate past the first page. Do I have to add code to these buttons? If not, why am I getting an error? Kindly solve my problem as soon as possible.

Looking at your code it appears that you are storing the ReportSource in session prior to passing in the ResultSet. This will create a problem when a postback is made on the viewer page (which all of the viewer actions do). If you look at the sample code which is generated when you use the JSP Page Wizard you will notice that the ResultSet is passed to the ReportClientDocument object prior to it being stored in session. Then, when the page is called again this object is retrieved and the ReportSource is used by the viewer. You can quickly run the test using one of our sample reports to see what I am talking about. How to insert a pdf export button in a module

Hi,
I would propose a way for my students to realize easily a pdf export of one screen. The goal is that students save a file with a drag and drop exercice in order to re-use after.
So, I tried :
- Use a shape and execute Javascript, window.print(). I had think to say students to use pdf export instead of print. In my case, print works only in html5. In flash, only the background is displaying.
- Use the print widget of captivate. It works but it's hard to use it. Student needs to edit properties to choose layout / paper size. Otherwise, some part of the screen are not displaying.
So I'm looking a solution to insert a pdf export button. Idealy a student clicks up the button and screen will be export in pdf format. I try this wdiget (http://captivatedev.com/2012/07/25/adobe-captivate-6-x-widget-dynamic-pdf-export/) but we can export only variables.
Anyone has a good idea to share ?

Thank you Pat. The thing is that i can´t upload any document to the web server because it belongs to "Jimdo". They give the option with a kind of Plugin and the Pdf comes directly from your browser to be download from the visitors, but it look ugly. That´s why I inserted a link to go to another page (different server) where I can upload documents. I think a need someone who know Jimdo.

When you open a PDF in Reader or Acrobat there will be a Print toolbar button and a File > Print menu item. Other PDF viewers will have much the same.
