I have displayed a classical report through a modular program using LEAVE TO LIST-PROCESSING AND RETURN TO SCREEN 130.
But now i want to increase the line-size of my classical report as only half of the report is getting displayed.
I tried the following thing:-
SY-LINSZ = 125.
perform f_report_pass.
*Print repost showing records which were not saved
perform f_report_fail.
LEAVE TO LIST-PROCESSING AND RETURN TO SCREEN 130.
but that did not work.
Please help me increase the line size.

I am using a modular program hence there isnt any statement :-
REPORT ZXXX NO STANDARD PAGEHEADING LINE-SIZE 255
This is the code that I am using :-
SY-LINSZ = 200.
perform f_report_pass.
*Print repost showing records which were not saved

LEAVE TO LIST-PROCESSING AND RETURN TO SCREEN 130.

In my classical report , columns after line-size 255 was cut and display in another row , but i want it to continue in a single row beyond 255, i tried and given
line-size 400, But it's not giving the required result. Please help and provide the solution for this problem.

Try this -
for writing the fields after 255 characters you have to use WRITE AT statement, instead of WRITE, as WRITE will not work for line-size > 255 chars.

If you have new editor you would be able to see the line number.
Or in the Dump screen - there is a button called Debugger - click that you would be able to see the code where dump has occured.. you would be able to find the line number from there.
To get the new editor with line number , you need to change the settingsin SE38.

Hi,
Raising Exceptions
There are two ABAP statements for raising exceptions. They can only be used in function modules:
RAISE except.
und
MESSAGE.....RAISING except.
The effect of these statements depends on whether the calling program handles the exception or not. The calling program handles an exception If the name of the except exception or OTHERS is specified after the EXCEPTION option of the CALL FUNCTION statement.
If the calling program does not handle the exception
· The RAISEstatement terminates the program and switches to debugging mode.
· The MESSAGE..... RAISING statement displays the specified message. Processing is continued in relation to the message type.
If the calling program handles the exception, both statements return control to the program. No values are transferred. The MESSAGE..... RAISING statement does not display a message. Instead, it fills the system fields sy-msgid, sy-msgty, sy-msgno , and SY-MSGV1 to SY-MSGV4.

The actual parameters carrier and jtab have the same data types as their corresponding interface parameters in the function module. The exception NOT_FOUND is handled in the program. It displays the same message that the function module would have displayed had it handled the error.

just have to decide what exceptions u want and under what conditions.
then declarethese exeptions under the exceptions tab.
in the source code of ur function module.
if
like this u can code .
now when u call the function module in tme mainprogram.
if some error occurs and u have declared a exception for this then it will set sy-subrc = value u give inthe call of this fm.
in the fm u can program these sy-subrc values and trigger the code for ur exception.

but how to use Logical database in function module ? Logical database PNP always show screen.in function (RFC) code , it is a matter.

You cannot attach the LDB to the main program of the function group.

- Use [LDB_PROCESS|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/advancedsearch?query=ldb_process&cat=sdn_all], fill a structured table for selection, and get data back in another table
- Use [HR function modules to read Infotypes|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/advancedsearch?cat=sdn_all&query=hrfunctionmodulestoread+Infotypes&adv=false&sortby=cm_rnd_rankvalue].

According to your description that you want increase the size of pie chart in the design mode to make all the ten values in the legend series to display, you have do some setting but the pie chart still display very small and not display some of the
values, right?
I have tested on my local environment and found that the display of the chart legend value can be effect by many factor: the size of the chart, chart area position and chart legend position.
Details steps below for your reference about how to set the properties to make all the legend values display correctly:
Select the Chart properties and expand the size and increase the values for the width and the height, then preview to see if all the legend values are display.
If this do little help, the problem due to the chart area position and chart legend position need to reset too.
Select the chart area properties and expand the CustomPosition under the Position, choose the Enabled to true and reset the Width, height of the pie chart.
Reset this properties to make the chart area more Narrow, thus we can set the Legend area more wider.
Select the chart Legend properties and expand the CustomPosition under the Position, choose the Enabled to true to reset the Width, height of the chart Legend
Reset this properties to make the Legend area more bigger (wider and higher) thus it will display more values in the Legend area.

i changed the value of width and height in formsweb.cfg file in my devsuite_home/forms/server/formsweb.cfg , i am able to see the result when i compile and run the form in devsuite, whereas the same is not reflected when i run the same form in application server.
when i tried to change the value of abbovementioned file in oracle_home /forms/server/formsweb.cfg of the application server file , the file does not have the applet wdth and applet height values. in fact this file does not have any applet information..

How To Increase the Size of Memo Fields greater than 4000 Char in WebCenter Content (UCM) 11g?
I was able to increase the size of Memo field from 2000 Char to 4000 by setting parameter value MEMOFIELDSIZE=4000 . But the requirement is to increase the size more than 4000 around 7000 char but Database(Oracle 11G) is not supporting more than 4000 char.
Is there any other way to increase the size of Memo field?

Thanks for your responses.
Let me explain the scenario again in detail:
1. we have three meta-data fileds xProductCategory,xProductFamily and xProducts
2. These fields are related with DCL feature and corresponding values are being stored in corresponding custom Views
3. xProducFamily is dependent of xProductCategory and xProduct is dependent on xProductFamily
4. currently, there are around 250 Product values and average name of Product can be of 25 Char, so if we are selecting all product values for some Contents then Product Values are being stored in DocMeta table as comma separated values with one space, so total characters are being very high than 4K Char.
5. Currently view that is storing the Product values, stores "Name" column instead of ID(like 1,2,3....)
6. And our Content Server is integrated with Oracle WebSenter Portal, where logic has written to retrieve the contents based on "Product Name" instead of "Product ID" and already we are in UAT phase.Currently we are not in situation to revert the changes from Product Name to Product ID.
7. Also if we are storing the values on the basis of Product ID, then again the issue may arise in Future, if the number of Products increased.
Hoping the issue explanation is clear now and waiting for some possible solution for increasing the length of memo field.
