How to increase LVM based System.img file ?

I am trying to create Oracle VM template from System.img, here my requirement is increasing the System.img file to 60GB from 6GB.
I would like to increase LVM based System.img to 60GB and swap to 32GB, could you please assist me how to do this ?
Where as I can able to increase non-LVM based System.img using modifyjeos command as follows
#modifyjeos -f System.img -T 61440 -S 32768 -a $RPM_LIST -m $RPM_DIR -nogpg -P ELCONTROL.img 102400 $U01_MOUNT
So I need to expand the System.img to 60GB and swap to 32GB.  Also need to be able to add a disk at 100GB, can you please let me know what is equivalent command for modifyjeos for LVM based System.img ?
Please let me know if you need more information

Hi,
Verify how much the total size of the Virtual Machine.
- go to repository
- resize the system.img
- start the VM
resize the Partition;
- lvmresize lvm-partition
- resize4fs lvm-partition
resize swap:
- swapof lvm-swap-partition
- lvresize lvm-swap-partition
- swapon lvm-swap-partition
I hope this can help you

  • How to increase page size for balance file upload in Workspace.

    Hi All,
    Please suggest how to increase page size for balance file upload in shared Workspace pages.
    Thanks,

    A word of caution is in order regarding changing from facing to non-facing and back again. If you have overridden master page items, you'll get a second, non-overridden copy on all the even-number pages when that half of the master page is re-applied. This applies to master text frames which override automatically when text flows into them as well as to objects you manually override. I think you'll find this particular technique also only works for master text frames, whereas the Layout Adjustment should work in all situations where frames snap to guides.

  • How to Increase the # of Recently Opened Files in DW CS6 ???

    Can anyone please give a detailed instruction on how to increase the number of Recently Opened files in Dreamweaver CS6? I have read the forums everywhere and do not see a solution here that works. For me there is no: Menus/MM/File_RecentFiles.htm
    I mean I have a "Menus" directory but no "MM" directory inside that... also, if I create one... I still need a sample "File_RecentFiles.htm" to copy. Or maybe someone knows another solution?

    I don't have DWCS6, just DWCS4 and DWCC. When I go to Program Files(x86) > Adobe >  Adobe Dreamweaver CC (or Dreamweaver CS4) > configuration > Menus > MM > and then open the file named "File_RecentFiles.htm" at either location, this is the code...

  • How do I view IOS system log files on my iPhone?

    I'm getting occasional buzzes on my iPhone when it is in silent mode, but it's not obvious where the buzzes are coming from. How can I view the IOS log files on the phone to figure out which application is generating the alerts?

    Hey Steve,
    You'll want to connect your phone to your computer and sync it in iTunes. You can read more about it here:

  • How to increase the field lenght of file uplaod in BSP application

    Hi All,
       I am facing a problem with u201Cuploadu201D filed length in BSP application.
    When we upload the file in BSP page, the path displayed should be the full path (i.e. from where the file is being upload the file)
    Now this field is appearing 20 char length
    Now I want to increase the length of the upload field (Input field) to be 100 char so that the path is visible.
    In the current application the file upload is being done through a structure (attributes)
    In this structure the fields are like this
    PAGE_NAME
    ID
    FOR
    TAGS
    ROW_INDEX
    COLUMN_INDEX
    OTR_NAME
    REQUIRED_NAME
    MAXLENGTH
    SIZE
    TABLE_NAME
    ON_SELECT
    VALUE
    DISABLED
    ONCLICK
    TEXT
    TYPE
    Using this method:
    CALL METHOD cl_htmlb_fileupload=>factory
              EXPORTING
                Id      = ls_form_save-id
              RECEIVING
                Element = lv_fileup.
            bee_table->add ( level = 2 element = lv_fileup ).
    This cl_htmlb_fileupload is named as class interface.
    Which has the CLG_HTMLB_FILEUPLOAD (it is a class) it is defined in attributes.
    In this class it has the attribute u201CSIZEu201D by default string 20.
    Now I need to change this attribute length from 20 to 100
    For this I copied the standard class CL_HTMLB_FILEUPLOAD into ZCL_HTMLB_FILEUPLOAD.
    This ZCL_HTMLB_FILEUPLOAD contains all attributes of the standard class CL_HTMLB_FILEUPLOAD
    Including the one class (CLG_HTMLB_FILEUPLOAD), this is defined as an attribute (ABOVE MENTIONED?)
    This class is appearing in non editable mode, so   I have copied this class into zclass (ZCLG_HTMLB_FILEUPLOAD).but still I am not able to edit the attribute called u201Csizeu201D
    And also I am not bale to add the zclass in place of the ZCLG_HTMLB_FILEUPLOAD
    Kindly tell me how to modify the length of the field u201Csize u201Cand also how to add the zclass in the attributes of one class (syntax)
    Thanks in advance
    Rambabu.A

    Hi,
    Class CLG_HTMLB_FILEUPLOAD is a class automatically generated when a BSP Element is created. You should not change/create such a class, unless by creating your own BSP Element.
    As per your requirement, you can use the SIZE parameter of method factory:
    ls_form_save-size = '100'.
    CALL METHOD cl_htmlb_fileupload=>factory
    EXPORTING
    Id = ls_form_save-id
    Size = ls_form_save-size
    RECEIVING
    Element = lv_fileup.

  • How can I playback blu-ray .img files generated by Final Cut Pro X?

    When I share a Final Cut Pro X project in Blu-ray and I set the output device as Hard drive (blu-ray), it creates a blu-ray image with a .img extension.
    By the way, the project's clips are AVCHD (.mts extension) and the settings are set to 1080i (1440x1080 25i).
    My question is: can I playback this file without having to burn a blu-ray disc?
    I've been looking for information, and some people seems to playback blu-ray .iso files.
    And: would Compressor 4 solve my problem? (is there anyway in Compressor to create a .iso image or something easier to play?).
    By the way, I do have access to both Windows and Mac computers.
    Thanks in advance,
    Pol

    Thanks for the answer.
    If you own Compressor 4, could you tell me if it includes an option to generate a .iso file instead of a .img?
    (here's information on how to playback a .iso).
    Thanks,
    Pol

    i am using stream reader to get the file over the network , its working fine for small file,
    but i want to access file size exceed 10 MB then i faced the problem. Its get very slow the file transfer over the network.
    so i am try to use java NIO for transfer file,
    Using NIO , While i am make server and client both are same system then the file tranfer is 10MB file in 10 seconds , but i am making server and client are different machine then its take so long to transfer file ie (10 MB file in 3 minutes).

    Data transfer rate for a single client is unlikely to be effected by using NIO or old blocking IO. The important factor is the maximum transfer rate you can get between the sender and receiver.
    You should be able to get 0.5-1.0 MB per second for each 10 Mbit per second of available bandwidth. Your timings suggest you are getting about a 10-20 Mbit/s link speed.

  • How can utilize/use  the extended space in system.img ?

    Hello Guru's
    In Oracle VM , How can utilize/use the extended space in system.img ?
    a) Increased the system.img size using the following command:
    # dd if=/dev/zero bs=1M count=12960 >> /OVS/running_pool/18_test1/System.img
    b) Verified the added size of system.img file at OVS server.
    # ls -lh System.img
    -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 19G Feb 9 20:58 System.img
    c) Started GVM and additional size/memory is not shown ?
    # df -m
    Filesystem 1M-blocks Used Available Use% Mounted on
    /dev/xvda2 3984 2292 1652 59% /

    I am not positive what you did is going to work, but it seems like you did the equivalent of imaging a small disk on a bigger disk. In that case, the first thing to do is update the partition table with fdisk. Start with fdisk -l in the vm for general information about the disk. Hopefully, the additional space will show. Then, work with fdisk to use the extra space. The easiest is to add a partition, then a file system on it. It is also possible to expand the last partition (you might have to delete it first), then expand what is on it (may be RAID, LVM, or the file system), layer by layer. As usual with fdisk, you run the risk of thrashing it all, so you may want to practice on a copy first. Obviously, the extra space can only be added to the last partition of the small disk.
    If the situation is more complex, you may have to boot a VM with both the small disk and the big disk at the same time. If you boot the VM off of an iso DVD image, you can then shell out, then run fdisk to partition the big disk the way you want, then use dd to copy the partitions you want in the order you want from the small disk. I am pretty sure not all combinations will work, but you get the idea. You can then take the small disk out, and boot off of the big disk.
    Come to think of it, you might just be better off with adding more space as a second virtual disk. You would then be free to partition/format it the way you want without messing with the first disk. Linux is so good with disk management, so many options.
    As a general statement, though, I like to put some distance between the high level file systems and the low level disk partitions, so I use LVM (Logical Volume Manager).
    Best of luck, keep us posted.

  • How do I convert img file to VDI

    I have downloaded a disk image of Google's Chromium OS (from developer Hexxeh made available at http://download-chromiumos.appspot.com/ I have the 64 bit version) both the files here are downloaded as .img files and Mac OS X says it cannot mount these files I get a warning no mountable file systems. I really need a VDI though I read there is a way to convert an img file in the Terminal to VDI (this is from 2009 though)  you enter
    VBoxManage convertfromraw -format VDI   [filename with extension] [chromiumos]. [filename]vdi it says converting from raw image file but then immediately gives this error:
    VBoxManage: error: Cannot open file "[chromiumos_image]": VERR_FILE_NOT_FOUND
    Anyone know how I can get this to work or where I can find a working VDI to download that is recent. I have Hexxeh's earlier Chrome OS build 4028 on his site chromeos.hexxeh.net working but it is from April of last year. Any ideas how to get this to work or where to find a working file. I have tried Arnoldthebat's VDI images from November-December 2013 and even newer but they don't work. I'm told since October 13, 2013 future builds of his don't work in VirtualBox. Unfortunately, he doesn't have any older builds available for download to his site. I can only get the November-December 2013 builds or  newer 2014 builds.
    FYI: My MacBook Pro is now on OS 10.9.2 Mavericks.

    Frequently asked questions about viewing and syncing video with iTunes and iPod
    You can try placing the movie in the Move library of iTunes and selecting it and going to the Advanced tab of iTunes and selecting Create Ipod and iPhone version.
    If tha does not work yu will need to use a conversion program like the free Handbrake program. Just Google for it.

  • How to increase the number of files picked up by File adaptor

    Dear all,
    Can any one tell me how to increase the number of files picked up by File adapter.
    Pl post ASAP.
    Useful answers will be appreciated accordingly.
    Thanks,
    Srinivas

    Hi Srinivasa,
    there is no parameter for number of files to be picked..............if you have too many source files and you want to get them processed quickly, then you can specify a very small polling interval, then XI will pick your source files quickly..........but it will cause heavy load on the XI system which can lead to blockage of messages in queues........

    Winmail.data are not usable files. They just preserve RTF within the message.

    I am sorry tell you, this blog is not enough to for me.It's not a blog, it's Chris' website where you download the package from. Once you download the package and unrar it, then the package spec gives instructions (and I think there's instructions on how to install it too).
    Kindly let me know if there is any oracle documentation for this .It's not an Oracle created package, it was created by Chris. It's based around the UTL_TCP package if you really want to get into the nitty gritty of how it works, but I don't think you do.

    Hi,
    <b>DO NOT</b> delete archive log files without making a backup <b>FIRST</b>.
    It is possible that you need those files in the future.
    You can use BRARCHIVE to schedule periodical backup+delete of the files.
