How To Increase the size of the TEXT AREA(APEX3.1)

I have a table called tableA in that i have 2 columns
named report_no, Report_body
Report_no containing sequence numbers
and report body contains more than 4000 charecter text
using clob i am able to display 4000 charecter but
I need to display the whole report_body in a text area
is there any option please help me on this

So the problem is you want to create a form against a clob column where you can edit more than 4000 characters in a textarea item for the clob data.
You are not using an Automated Row Fetch process, right?
The first problem may be that you are trying to select more than 4000 bytes as a varchar2 column in a query. This is not allowed in SQL.
Was that query the Source attribute of the page item?
Change the Source Type to Static Assignment (with nothing in the value field) and the Source Used to "Only ...", then create an after-header PL/SQL process as:
begin
SELECT REPORT_BODY into :PXX_REPORT
FROM LOG_REP_DATA a
WHERE a.report_id= :P73_VVR_LOV_POPUP;
end;
...where :PXX_REPORT reflects the name of the textarea item.
Of course :P73_VVR_LOV_POPUP will have to return a session state value when the process fires.

  • How to increase font size in the report when emailed as PDF

    How do I increase the font size of the report when I distribute the report as PDF to the users. I tried using different paper sizes in the LayOut tab in Broad Caster and Orientations. When I open the PDF from the mail I see the report shrinked and not readable, but when I magnify the report the numbers are visible with no loss in quality. I cannot give the users to print a shrinked PDF file. I would like to see a visiable font and print the same size what I see.

    The size of the font is increased by selecting a bigger page size while emailing. This will automatically increase the size of the page.

  • Increasing the size of designated text area in a photo book

    I am using IPhoto version 9.5.1 on a MacBook Pro (10.9.2). I am trying to increase the designated text area so that I can increase the font size. This will allow for the final product to be more legible. Currently, I am featuring a student per page. The designated text areas are 4 separate sections on these pages.  I would like to include on each page the following.
    Aviator
    Person's Name
    Algebra I
    Homecoming Dance
    When I increase the font size in those 4 designated areas, the red caution triangle with exclamation point states, 'This text doesn't fit the designated text area!'
    I have two questions.
    1. How do I increase the text area so the larger text will fit and print properly?
    2. Is there an overall command that I can input these increases to the text area so that the 36 papes have the same changes in the designated text areas? Otherwise, I will have to make those changes for each individual pages that are featuring a student.

    Command + Option +⬇arrow:  decrease frame height.
    Command + Option + ➜ arrow:  increase frame width.
    Command + Option + ⬅ arrow:  decrease frame width.
    To adjust its position on the page use these key combinations:
    Command + Control + ➜ arrow:  move frame to right.
    Command + Control + ⬅  arrow:  move frame to left.
    Command + Control + ⬆ arrow:  rotate frame counter clockwise.
    Command + Control + ⬇ arrow:  rotate frame clockwise.
    You can conver the standard frame (on the left) to this one (on the right)
    Always be sure to create a PDF file of the book for proofing before ordering a book. This Apple document describes how to create the PDF file: iPhoto, Aperture: Previewing an order in iPhoto or Aperture. Keep the PDF file to compare it with the printed copy when it arrives.

  • Help with changing the size of a text area

    hi. i have a a couple of text areas lined up vertically in a <Vgroup>. each text area is populated with data from xml. but sometimes there isn't much data for a particular text area and i'd like to reduce the number of rows on the text area so there isn't so much blank space. just not sure best way to go about it. any suggestions would be great. cheers.

  • How do I increase the size of the text on the toolbar?

    How do I increase the size of the toolbar text, please?  For some reason, it's now very tiny, and everything I do only increases the font size of whichever web sites I access (which is not what I'm wanting to accomplish).
    Thanks in advance for any help in this. Actually, I'm wondering what I might have done that would make the toolbar so tiny?

    Do  you mean the menu bar at the very top of your screen?
    If so, open System Preferences > Displays > Display > Scaled
    Try a different resolution.

  • Apple Mail (Mavericks), Viewing size of list is too small.how do you increase the size of the email message list.  The font is too small, I can hardly read them.

    In Apple Mail, using Mavericks, how do you increase the size of the email message list that displays on the left side of the screen?
    The font size is so small.
    Thanks.

    Thank you for responding.  After investigating and checking further, it was clear that only one of your suggestions changes the font size of the list of emails, also called the In-box.  And that is the display resolution.
    However, changing the display resolution affects the dots per inch of everything, everywhere and makes it larger.
    Given the high end fee Apple charges for their products, and the generally well developed software they provide, it is hard to imagine they have not corrected this obvious slight of effort on the inbox text. At times Apple's "one-size-fits-all" and "it's our way or no way" mentality astounds me and makes me want to run back to Microsoft.
    Evidently this is a well known mistake, which has yet to receive any attention.
    Again, thank you for your effort and assistance on my behalf.

  • How do I change the size of the tools and the text for the menus in Photoshop?  I need a magnifying glass in order to make out what they are.

    How do I change the size of the tools and the text for the menus in Photoshop?  I need a magnifying glass in order to make out what they are.

    Okay, I've figured it out, so I'm going to answer my own question in hopes that it may help anyone else that would like to actually be able to see what they're doing when using Photoshop CC 2014 on a high resolution screen.
    1.  Open Photoshop.
    2.  Select Preferences from the Edit Menu, then select General.
    3.  Change the HUD Color Picker to Hue Strip (Medium).
    4.  Select Interface from the Preferences menu on the left side of the dialog box.
    5.  Change the UI Font Size to Large in the Text area of the Preferences dialog box.
    6.  Select Experimental Features from the Preferences menu on the left side of the dialog box.
    7.  Select Scale UI 200% for high-density displays (Windows only).
    8.  Click on OK, then Exit/Quit Photoshop.
    9.  Open Photoshop and everything should be readable.

    This is very common issue.
    Try increasing the font size and align your components in design mode, and try resizing the dashboard in ppt as well.

  • How do I stop text from resizing to the size of the browser window

    Hello there,
    I am using a DW CS3 template that has a sidebar div and a
    main content div - the text in the main content div keeps resizing
    to the size of the browser window - I don't want the text to resize
    if I make the browser window smaller - I want it to remain the
    same. I am trying to float the text right and input a width but
    this is not working for me. What am I doing wrong?
    HELP!
    Many thanks!

    >>What am I doing wrong?
    Not giving us a link to the uploaded page so we can see the
    page, how it
    behaves and the actual code.
    Until we see that you are unlikely to get a definitive
    answer. The problem
    is unlikely as you state it because text itself is never
    dependant on the
    browser viewport size.

  • How to get real size of the JLable with wrapped text

    Hello all,
    I have a JLable, which should display error message or some tips to the user. Text can have different length. Something like this:
    jlblText.setText("<html><body>Error. Please do this and that. </body></html>")
    view.pack();The lable is on the top of the JDialog.
    If user typed wrong data, an error message will be displayed in the lable. If the text is too long, jlable will be wrapped. JDialog should also adjust it's size, so I use pack().
    In this case nothing happens. I wanted to get the height of the component and to increase the size of the JDialog, but
    System.out.println("height = "+view.jlblText().getHeight());returns the same result all time. No matter whether the lable contains 20 lines or just some words.
    Is it possible to automatically adjust the size of the JDialog, if the size of the JLable is changed?
    In this case I can't use JScrollPane.
    Thanks in advance.

    component listener solved the problem.
    Try something like:
    label.setText(....);
    SwingUtilities.invokeLater(new Runnable()
         public void run()
              frame.pack();
    This construction didn't do the trick. I tryed to invoke this.pack() of my JDialog in a run method.
    I am still wonder, why only the component listener get the right (actual) value, and the getHeight() method called after the setText method returns the old value.

  • How to Increase the size of the table?

    Hi All:
    I'm a newbie and i'm trying to understand how can I increase or set the size of the table. I want to display all the columns and rows of the table but for doing that I understand that the size of the tbale has to be increased . The following is the warning I would get when looking at the database. How can I get over it. Any suggestions?
    The table GOESDBA.SAT_PARAM_VALUES contains more than 2000 rows. Displaying all the columns and rows of the table could be time-consuming.
    best,
    Sri

    I'm migrating the database from Oracle to MySQL through a migration kit.I don't know anything about MySQL or your migration kit (this is an Oracle forum after all).
    Is there some way that the size of the table can be increased on the oracle sideBut this doesn't make sense anyway. What you're saying is that the table is too large. So why would you want to make it larger?
