  • Integration of a Tree Structure in a Web Dynpro Table

    Hi,
    I am implementing an Integration of a Tree Structure in a Web Dynpro Table.
    The Tree-Table os working as required, but I can not work with the OnLeadSelect Action of the table.
    The Action does not work as required, meanning, it returns all the time the first row and not the "lead select".
    As far as I read I should add some code to the wdDoModifyView method, but I did not figure out exactly what...
    Thanks in advance,

  • How can I create a Tree  Structure in java ??

    Hi,
    I want to create a tree structure(objects hierarchy) using java language. Is there any API method for this ?
    Can any one please give me a hint or suggestion how I can do this ??
    Thanks for the help in advance.

    Do you mean graphically?
    You can use a TreeSet or TreeMap if you just want to use tree structures.

  • How to Display Heading for TREE Structure (report)

    hi,
         tell me how display the heading for the TREE Report.
    With Regards,
    Shakthi Raj N.

    Hi,
    If you are using object oriented approach for developing the Tree report, then you can use below shown example for creating header for the report.
      first create tree control
      CREATE OBJECT TREE1
        EXPORTING
            PARENT              = G_CONTAINER_OBJECT
            NODE_SELECTION_MODE = CL_GUI_COLUMN_TREE=>NODE_SEL_MODE_SINGLE
            ITEM_SELECTION      = ''
            NO_HTML_HEADER      = ''
            NO_TOOLBAR          = ''
        EXCEPTIONS
            CNTL_ERROR                   = 1
            CNTL_SYSTEM_ERROR            = 2
            CREATE_ERROR                 = 3
            LIFETIME_ERROR               = 4
            ILLEGAL_NODE_SELECTION_MODE  = 5
            FAILED                       = 6
            ILLEGAL_COLUMN_NAME          = 7.
      CLEAR GT_HEADER.
      GT_HEADER-TYP = 'H'.
      GT_HEADER-INFO = 'Output'.
      APPEND GT_HEADER.
      CLEAR GT_HEADER.
      GT_HEADER-TYP = 'S'.
      GT_HEADER-KEY = 'Display'.
      GT_HEADER-INFO = 'Report'.
      APPEND GT_HEADER.
    then create empty tree-control
      CALL METHOD TREE1->SET_TABLE_FOR_FIRST_DISPLAY
              EXPORTING
                   IS_HIERARCHY_HEADER  = G_HIERARCHY_HEADER
                   I_BACKGROUND_ID      = 'ALV_BACKGROUND'
                   IT_LIST_COMMENTARY   = GT_HEADER[]
              CHANGING
                   IT_OUTTAB            = GT_SPFLI[]    "empty table
                   IT_FIELDCATALOG      = GT_FIELDCAT_LVC[].
    In this way header can be given for Tree report.
    Hope this answers your query.

    Brajvir

  • How to output a hierarchical tree structure of existing data in XML using XSU

    I have data in a table where the rows have a parent-child relationship with each other. If one were to use the 'connect by' clause, one could see the tree (lets say some sort of a hierarchical family tree). If I were to use the XML-SQL Utility's PL/SQL API, how would it be possible to output the family tree in XML ie the XML should be such that each child element is nested within its parent element only.
    Thanks for the help.
    Jeet
    null

    XSU doesn't follow foreign key links like this, but our DBXML package (some sample code written in PL/SQL that we published a couple years back) does do this.

  • How can I display a  tree structure?

    I would like to display a tree stucture, but don't want to use the JTree look. I would like the tree to look something like the following (but with boxes around the names, and arrows point from children to parent):
                --- child1
    root ---|
                                    --- child3
                --- child2 --|
                                    --- child4Is there a class already out there I can implement and use for this? Or do I basically have to start from scratch?

    It strikes me that JTree should have a setHorizontalLayout() feature... But scratch never was a bad place to start, was it?

  • How to store a Tree Structure in Memory

    hi all!
    I wanted to show a Org Chart on web page. Recursion is used for constructing.Based on B/S architecture,(get Org from DataBase)this is not a effective way!! How can I store a tree structure(Org object are stored as TreeNodes) in memory for recursion??? Thanks!

    My English is too poor! So I posted the interfaces blow.
    I used these interface to construct a org tree(which will displyed in browser ),but it's
    efficiency is low. (recursion)Because the org infor. are stored in database(thounds of
    orgs are stored).(I think this is the bottleneck)
    Now I want to store the tree structure in memeory! Then jsp page only needs to build the tree
    from memory!Needn't make a DbConnection every time. A timer will updated tree org(in memory)
    automatic
    So I want to use a N dimensions array to store the data (N is the number of orgs)
    but I don't konw how to make a compositor for sorting!
    after sorting .look at the matrix I poster blow(eg.)
    Matrix:(a,b,c,d are orgs 1 mean's is parents 0 means not, this is a Sparse Set huh? ^_^ )
    * a b c d
    a 0 0 0 0
    b 1 0 0 0
    c 1 0 0 0
    d 0 1 0 0
    Org tree:
    a
    b c
    d
    so O(n(n-1)/2)
    question:
    1)How to sort orgs?
    2)Any good suggestion is wanted!
    Thanks!

  • Tree Structure Implementation in Java.

    1>
    How should i implement a "Tree Structure" in Java Based application.?How would i map the entries to the database table?how many tables will i require for this implementation.?
    List records<String> = new ArrayList<String>();
    records.add("null");
    records.add("Product");
    records.add("Category");
    records.add("P1");
    records.add("P2");
    records.add("P3");
    records.add("C1");
    records.add("C2");
    records.add("C3");
    so how should i implement a Tree Structure for the above record set.
    //P1,P2,P3 belong to Parent {Product}
    //C1,C2,C3 belong to Parent {Category}
    Sample code provided will be helpful

    How should i implement a "Tree Structure" in Java Based application.?The quotes suggest you don't know what a tree structure is, regardless of the development language. Fix that first (your understanding of what a tree structure is). [url http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tree_structure]Here is probably a good start.
    How would i map the entries to the database table?how many tables will i require for this implementation.?It depends on what your tree structure represents, in particular it depends on whether the leaves and intermediate nodes of the trees have are homogeneous (e.g. have a common interface). There is no general rule.
    I suggest you start by looking in the Java API at all the classes whose names start with 'Tree' (TreeSet and TreeMap are probably the best ones to start with) and read the documentation carefully. Then try to write some code that uses one and come back if/when you have any problems.(sorry Winston) I think this is a very bad advice.
    These classes are particular implementations, respectively of a set (in the mathematical sense) and of a map (associative table), which happen to use a "tree structure" for their internal business. Their API doesn't help building a custom "tree structure" (they may be used that way, but it's certainly not the easiest nor even a particular handy way to build tree structures).
    Maybe their implementation may be a good example of how to build a Tree structure, but they use a particular type of tree (+red-black tree), not a general one. This may or may not be the OP's case, I wouldn't bet on it.
    OP you're welcome to come back with more specific questions and details. Good luck with Java.

    After checking the Javadoc: indeed TreeSet only uses a TreeMap for its implementation, so the only one out of the two which does directly uses a tree structure in its implementation is TreeMap.
    Edited by: jduprez on Oct 16, 2010 2:51 PM
    And, to reiterate, I stand by my claim that TreeMap is not a good example of a general Tree structure: in particular it uses a tree to map keys to values, its main business is the "mapping" part, not the tree as a storage medium. Neither the keys nor the values know anything about their "children".

  • Generate Tree Structure from DB - XSQL??

    We have a table that contains a tree structure using Parent/Child fields. We use "Connect By" to extract this in normal applications to show in a tree control.
    We now want this in XML format output by our web server, where a client side app running in the browser can load this.
    I have looked at XSQL utility but it looks to only generate a simple flat structure.
    Anyone have an idea of how to automatically create a tree structure straight from the DB?
    Thanks
    Rob

    You downloaded the wrong XML Parser!
    XSQL requires Java Parser. Well, there's a copy included with the XSQL package so you actually don't need to do another download.
    You really don't need XSQL if you just want a XML file from DB, you just needed a XML SQL Utility. Download that and run the samples.

  • Tree Structure-context-TableUI

    I have created a tree structure and I populate the values from tree structure to a table and I have edit button in table if i click edit i can change the value populated from tree structure and my question is how can i get the changed value from table back to tree structure context. can you provide the programming I'm new to java development.
    Thanks,
    Meenu

    Hi Meenu,
    first step you need to copy the diaply ttable node to avlue node, then you need to the modifications in the table data, then you need to have a update table node,in as a tables parameter in your bapi, so that you can update the data in the nackend also,
    create seprate methods for everymethod returning bapi.
    every bpi of rfc a have disply the data and save the data or update the data methods, if it is related to modification of data, please abseve the bapi funcationality to develop the appl;ication.
    may be it will help you,
    Cheers,
