How to invoke WEBSERVICES thru JSP 2.0 ?

Hi friends ,
I m actually looking for ,invoking a javawebservice residing on weblogicserver thru a JSP 2.0 page . I wuld be happy if any 1 provides me with any valuable information regarding this.
Thanks in advance ,
P.Satish

If i am not wrong, Jdeveloper will keep the last opened Application as opened when you restart jdeveloper.
From command line you can start jdev by invoking Jdev.exe
<jdevhome>jdeveloper\jdev\bin>jdev.exe -help
Oracle JDeveloper 11g
Commands:
-verbose Show JNI options
-client Use Client as the Java VM
-server Use Hotspot Server as the Java VM
--<directive>=<value> Override a directive from the configuration file
-J<flag> Pass <flag> directly to the runtime system
-conf[igure] <file.conf> Use the specified configuration file
-multi Start a new instance
-migrate Migrate user settings from a previous installation

    nitind,
    Did you figure out how to connect to Weblogic web-service remotely?
    I tried doing so, but I get the following error on the client-side.

  • How to invoke WebService / BPEL process using stubs in Jdeveloper 10g

    HI,
    I created the SyncHelloworld BPEL process as given in tutorial 1.
    Now I created a new project to call this BPEL from Java client.
    I used the JDeveloper to create the stub/skeleton using the wizard by specifying the WSDL file location.I also created the main method by selecting the checkbox in the wizard.
    Now I want to invoke this SyncHelloWorld. There is a method called process. It expects a Element as input and returns a Vector.
    Now how do i pass a string ( which the SyncHelloWorld process expects ) from the main method and call the process method.
    Has anyone tried this ? I am new to this technology.
    What I am trying to do is trying to invoke a webservice. I have the WSDL file and its location. What all I need to do is pass the required parameters as an Element and get the output as Vector.
    Any help would be highly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Debojyoty

    Hi,
    Did you tried it from the generic soap tester online from that site, or did you download some client testtool ?
    myserver:9700 cant be reached from the site where you're trying to test it.
    this is an internal host.
    or if it can be reached from outside..maybe some firewall problem?

  • Invoking a BPEL process thru JSP.

    i've read the oracle tutorial on how to invoke the BPEL process thru JSP, but when running, it doesn't work with the following error: server error 500
    i'm not sure how i should deploy the jsp page, by selecting run in JDeveloper it gave the error specified above
    help me out,
    cheers,
    Shivek

    I got it atlast. Actually I wanted application log to see the error. I found this log file(application.log) under
    <ORACLE_AS_HOME>\j2ee\home\application-deployments\hello\home_default_group_1
    I found that since this is a JSF application, i am missing the '/faces' in the URL and because of which, it was unable to find the FacesContext.
    It's working now. Thanks a lot for your support.

  • How to invoke a jsp value to another jsp

    Hi i have a problem on how to invoke a jsp page from jsp page.
    I have this function in index.jsp:
    <script language="JavaScript">          function price(){           window.location="search_date.jsp" + document.forms['test'].getElementById('price');           }          </script>"document.forms['test'].getElementById('price'); " are getting the values from another jsp (search_date).
    <div class="tabbertab" title="Price" id="price"><h2>Tab 2</h2><p> <form name="test">There are three tabs in search_date jsp, the above codes are for price tab.
    Im going to click on an image link in index.jsp, it will direct me to the price tab instead of two other tabs. How can i achieve this?
    Thanks,
    tiffany

    This appears to be more of a javascript than java/JSP question.
    If you are trying to pass a parameter to the jsp search_date.jsp, you need to follow the standard syntax for parameters , with ? for the first and & for any subsequent ones..
    ie
    search_date.jsp?firstParam=1&secondParam=2
    so possibly you meant:
    window.location="search_date.jsp?myParam=" + document.forms['test'].getElementById('price');
    However I am not sure.
    What is clicking on this image link supposed to do?
    Are you wanting to reload a page, or just show hide things without reloading?

    Hi,
    Thanks for your reply. I use BPM studio 10.3
    In the Catalogue, there are 3 default components which are Fuego, Java, and Plumtree.
    In the Fuego, there is an item of WebServices. In the Plumtree, there is an item named WebServiceProperty.

  • How to invoke a 6 parameter java class within jsp

    i have just begun to learned jsp and java recently, so have the question below:
    Situation:
    My boss asked me to do a project for doing online data mining.
    He requested the thing below:
    1. Write a webpage by jsp with some textfield or pull down meun to get the parameter for getting the opinion and the parameter needed for the java class.
    2. When the user click the buttom in the website, then the java class have to be invoked.
    Questions:
    1. ask i put the .java in the server, i can simply use cmd and type the following command:
    java -Xmx800M P05context 1 1 3 6 F01xyz.txt F10xyz.txt
    which F01xyz is the prepared text file for the java class to read and the F10xyz.txt is the output file generated by the P05context.class
    but i don't know how to invoke the P05context.class by jsp
    My boss have suggested me two ways to do this:
    a. write a java virtual class to execute the java program.
    but i don't know how to write.
    i think conceptualy will be like this :
    public class run_java
    public void run java(parameter1,parameter2....,parameter6)
    //run the cmd command
    //java -Xmx800M P05context 1 1 3 6 F01xyz.txt F10xyz.txt
    b. write a javabean in the jsp. and i have try to use this code(at the end of the message:
    but the tomcat server reply a internal error to me
    how cani do ?
    the jsp file-->
    <jsp:useBean id="test" scope="session" class ="P05context" />
    <html>
    <head></head>
    <body>
    <% test.P05context(1,1,3,6,F01xyz.txt,F10xyz.txt); %>
    </body>
    </html>

    I still don't see why the form (the origin of the request) has to be a JSP, As you say, it might be static but forms I've written have usually had some kind of menu framework arround them and other variables. Also if the input is invalid you usually want to re-present the form, with an error message and the fields pre-populated according to what the user put in before. That does require a JSP and you may as well use the same JSP for an empty, as for a rejected request.
    the response to the form should be handled by a servlet. Both is HTML, but the
    form is static, and the reply dynamic. Using the combination; a servlet to do the data processing and a JSP to format the results is more flexible in a number of ways. For example, suppose you find the need to present the data form in, say, Greek? You don't want the processing to be duplicated in English and Greek versions of the results JSP.
    Suppose the boss wants to turn a graphics designer loose on your HTML. Don't want him mucking about with your processing code do you.
    The servlet typically takes the function of controller in the model/view/controller paradigm.
    Code in a servlet is cleaner, better formatted and easier to access with a debugger.

  • How to trap client browser window closing thru JSP or servlets

    How to trap client browser window closing thru JSP or servlets?
    Gunjan

    Hi
    Though some JavaScripts may provide you with solutions , yet there is no reliable way to detect the closing of the browser by the servlet. One way to achieve detection of user quitting a session is setting session timeouts ion the server side. This can be done either through the web.xml file or programatically by setting the session.setMaxInactiveInterval().

  • How to invoke multiple sessions of sql*plus thru pl/sql program

    Hi
    How to invoke multiple sessions of sql*plus thru pl/sql program.
    Thanks

    How to invoke sql*plus in a procedure?????
    I have to invoke more pl/sql sessions?????No you don't "have to".
    Look at what you are trying to do.
    You have a program running inside the PL/SQL engine. This is running nicely inside the Oracle database and is perfectly capable of issuing other SQL statements, PL/SQL programs etc. inside it's nice cosy Oracle environment.
    You are asking for this PL/SQL to shell out to the operating system, run an external application, for which it will have to supply a username and password (are you planning on hard coding those into your PL/SQL?), and then that external application is supposed to run more SQL or PL/SQL against the database.
    a) Why hold all this code external to the database when it can quite happily reside on the database itself and be executed through jobs or whatever.
    b) Consider what would happen if someone were to replace the external application with their own program of the same file name... they'd be able to capture the username and password for connecting to the database, therefore a major security flaw.
    The whole idea of doing what you want through external calls to SQL*Plus is ridiculous.

  • How to -only- invoke a Servlet/JSP

    Hi,
    I would like to invoke a Servlet or JSP inside a standalone application WITHOUT opening a stream. When I use url.openConnection() or con.connect() the servlet/JSP is not executed, I must also do "ObjectInputStream o = new ObjectInputStream(con.getInputStream());" in order to get the servlet/jsp executed.
    I just want to invoke the servlet/JSP, because I use the returned data for nothing.
    Thanks

    If you openConnection, you might also have to get the output stream from the servlet to make it work properly. (Otherwise, the server, or proxies in-between, might consider that the client has decided it doesn't want the page after all, and may stop requesting it.)
    A cheap way to request a page but get less data back would be..
    conn.setRequestMethod("HEAD");HEAD is exactly like GET, except it doesn't return the body (just the headers, hence the name.) Not entirely sure if it works on Java.
    Failing that, you should be able to just open the input stream, and close it again straight away.

  • ADF forms based on BPM human tasks - Invoking webservices/view objects.

    Hi All,
    Is anyone aware of whether the following is a valid implementation that has been carried out before.
    1. ADF forms based on BPM 11G human tasks.
    2.The ADF forms invoke webservices via Webservice data controls. It is pertinent to note that the webservice bring back complex data types. We've tried writing a few forms, resulting in data benig brought back, but not being able to print them to the screen.
    3. The ADF forms also use View Object based on sql to bring back tables of data. If view objects are embedded within the forms, the applciation gives rise to a null pointer exception.
    Considering the form will be invoked via a BPM worklist entry, is there a setting or configuration we should consider before hand. Is this feasible, is there knowledge of this being done commercially.
    Any examples or information regarding the same will be immensely helpful.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Preethi.
    NB : I have posted this in the BPM forum as well as I feel it is relevant to both BPM and ADF.

    Hi Joonas.
    Plese let me explain me better for your understanding
    A big summary for what I meant it's the following:
    1- In the procces you made, when you add the HT activity, you have to implement it, this means declare the input(s) parameters you want. This implementation create the .task file.
    2- Create an application, and projects as HT you have. Each poject are based on the .task file, and automatically create a Data Control (for each project based on a .task) with all you need.
    This w'll be an empty application, so you can customize it all you want. The task selected should have all the parameters previously defined. Those parameters can change if you want.
    2- Create a page(s) in the task flow for the task implementation. You can even split the the payload of the task in differents pages, create your custom pages and any logic you need.
    3- An important aspect is how to match these application with the HT implemented in the process. It's possible, it's a configuration en the Enterprise Manager.
    4- Deploy your application
    All these are explain in the book I mentioned
    Th book you can find it here:
