How to launch configuration wizard in unix

I have installed Oracle BPM Enterprise for Weblogic on a headless unix machine. I installed from a Text console as instructed in the Installation guide. However, there is no documentation on what to do next - the configuration guide does not address how to run the configuration wizard or the process administrator in this mode. Help!

Hello
Well i don't have it installed on windows
But the path must be similar
You may found the configuration wizard in: <OraBPMwlHome>/bin/obpmconfwizard (to launch the configuration wizard)
and
OraBPMwlHome>/bin/obpmadcenter to launch BPM Admin Center.
Hope this helps
Anyway, you can always use scripts ant to configure and deploy your bpm enterprise

For the AD FS Wizard how do I configure a certificate so I can run WCF applications on my server.
Certificate Status: This CA Root certificate is not trusted because it is not in the Trusted Root Certification Authorities store.
    In IIS under Server Certificates:
    IIS Express Development Certificate
It will not let me "Complete Certificate Request" because I do not have a ".cer" certificate file.
How do I get ".cer" file for this Certificate or maybe make one in IIS 8.0 not Express?

You need to make the certificate trusted by adding it in the Trusted Root Certification Authorities
store using Certificates snap-in. You can use Certificates
snap-in in MMC to export the certificate in a .cer file.

  • How to stop the configuration wizard

    Hi ,
I am running a configuration task(wizard based) in NWA(netweaver administrator).  during the wizard, I lost internet connection, when I connected again, the application expired. I want to reexecute the wizard, but its status is "Currently executing" and "re-execute" button is disabled. so how can I stop the dead wizard and re-execute it?
My system is CE7.11 on windows&oracle.
    Thanks
    Best regards,
    John

I am sure this is a bit late, but I had this problem today and found the answer.  Restarting the whole instance would surely do the same thing, but thats not always an option.
    [SDN Wiki|https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/SL/Technical+Implementation#TechnicalImplementation-HowcanIcancel%2Freexecuteconfigurationtaskwhichhas%22Currentlyexecuting%22status%3F]
How can I cancel/re-execute configuration task which has "Currently executing" status?
This may happen if your web session has expired during execution of configuration task which was not able
to finish in the background because it needed some user input/response. The next time you login to
Configuration Wizard if the server is not restarted you will see this task with "Currently executing" status
which prevents you from re-executing the task. The status can be cleared by restarting the
    "tc~lm~ctc~cul~startup_app" application.
    To do this go to
    http://<host>:<port>/nwa -> Operation Management -> Systems -> Start & Stop -> Java EE Applications
Then stop and start the application.

    hi
Error to run Configuration Wizard weblogic 12.1.2
my system is windows xp by 2 gig ram
    and jvm version
    C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.7.0_25\bin>java -version
    java version "1.7.0_25"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.7.0_25-b17)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 23.25-b01, mixed mode, sharing)
how resolve this problem and how find log file weblogic to this error?

In user environments where the path to java is not already established as an system-level environment variable, the service is unable to determine where to find java and this error will occur.
This could occur, for example, in environments where there is more than one JDK installed, or where the default JDK is different from the JDK which needs to be used by WLS.
Try to set the environment variable  in windows  i.e JAVA_HOME=C:\Sun\Java\jdk1.7.xx.x.  to point to jdk 1.7 and run the configuration wizard.
    Hope it helps!!

  • How do you change the DB on WLS10 created by ALSB configuration wizard?

I want to change the database configuration of an existing WLS10 domain that is used for ALSB 3.0 (now OSB 10gR3). The domain was created by the Configuration Wizard. The database configuration appears to be located in the file [bea_home|http://forums.oracle.com/forums/]/user_projects/domains/domain/bin/setDomainEnv.cmd. The header of this files reads:
bq. @REM WARNING: This file is created by the Configuration Wizard. \\ @REM Any changes to this script may be lost when adding extensions to this configuration
When I try to use the Configuration Wizard for this domain it seems that all I can do is extend the domain but cannot change the configruation of the domain. Can someone help me out? What is the appropriate method for changing the database configuration?
    Cheers,
    Scott
    bq.

Hi, I found out how you can set it.
You need two registry keys to be set in order to keep the preloaded settings.(HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Common\MailSettings)
    These are:
    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Common\LanguageResources]
    "LangTuneUp"="OfficeCompleted"
    "OutlookChangeInstallLanguage"="Yes"
    both are String entries.

I have installed  SharePoint foundation 2010  on the  Windows 2008 R2 Server  with  MSSql 2008 R2.  The is not a domain controller and it is workgroup server.
Installation went through without any issues.  Now I am facing problem in Launching Farm configuration wizard.
I am trying to launch the farm configuration wizard in two way
    A.
     Open internet explorer
     Enter the sharepoint server address
Login with user name and password
In share Point central administrator web site,  click on configuration wizard – it returns blank page.
    B.  Start - Programs - SharePoint 2010 Products - SharePoint 2010 Products Configuration Wizard
In continue with configuration wizard.   After few steps of default values,  it opens the internet explorer  and ask for the user name and password.   After passing the user and password

  • OIM 11g Server Configuration Wizard Error - Cannot Connect to Oracle DB

I appreciate any and all suggestions or thoughts on how to best continue troubleshooting this error that I am describing below.
I am attempting to install Oracle Identity and Access Management Suite 11g on a Windows 7 machine…in following the installation guides I have successfully installed the following Oracle Components
    - Oracle Database 11.2.0.1.0
    - Created Schemas using RCU 11.1.1.3.3
    - Oracle WebLogic Server 10.3.3.0
    - Oracle SOA 11.1.1.2.0
    - Oracle SOA 11.1.1.3.0 (Patch Set)
    - Oracle IAM SUITE 11.1.1.3.0
Following the above installations, I created a new WebLogic Domain and as the next step am running the OIM Configuration Wizard to configure the OIM Server, however I am unable to setup a connection to the Oracle DB via the OIM Configuration Wizard. I am getting an error message when attempting to setup the connection to the Oracle Database using the OIM 11g Server Configuration Wizard:
    ERROR:*
INST:6102 Unable to connect to the database with the given credentials.
*+[DETAILS] Check the values. Make sure the Database is up and running and connect string, user name, and password are correct.+*
INST:6102 Unable to connect to the database with the given credentials.
*+[DETAILS] Check the values. Make sure the Database is up and running and connect string, user name, and password are correct.+*
When installing the Oracle Database 11gR2 I used the following install configuration:
    Oracle base: C:\MyApps\Oracle
    Software location: C:\MyApps\Oracle\DB_HOME\11.2.0\dbhome_1
    Database file location: C:\MyApps\Oracle\DB_HOME\oradata
Database Edition: Personal Edition (3.27 GB)
    Character Set: Unicode (AL32UTF8)
    Global database name: orcl.dev.com
    Administrative Password: Password1
    Confirm Password: Password1
When creating my Schemas using RCU 11.1.1.3.3 I used the following Database Connection Details
    DB TYPE: Oracle Database
    HOST NAME: localhost
    PORT: 1521
    SERVICE NAME: orcl.dev.com
    USERNAME: sys
    PASSWORD: Password1
    ROLE: SYSDBA
I used a Prefix of “DEV” when creating the schemas so Schema Owners DEV_OIM and DEV_MDS where created. Also, I configured to use the same password for all Schemas: “Password1″. So the password for DEV_OIM and DEV_MDS should be the same, “Password1″.
    REPRODUCING THE ERROR
To reproduce the error, when I launch the Oracle Identity Management 11g Configuration Wizard I am first brought to the “Welcome” Screen. I click the [Next>] button.
Next, I am on the “Components to Configure” screen where I select OIM Server and OIM Design Console and click the [Next>] button. (NOTE I have also tested by simply selecting only the OIM Server)
Next, I am on the “Database” screen where I enter the connection information
    Connection String: localhost:1521:orcl.dev.com
(NOTE I have also tested using localhost:1521:orcl)
    OIM Schema User Name: DEV_OIM
    OIM Schema Password: Password1
    MDS Schema User Name: DEV_MDS
    MDS Schema Password: Password1
When I click the [Next>] button after entering the Database Connection details I encounter the following two errors (1 error for each logon DEV_OIM and DEV_MDS)
INST:6102 Unable to connect to the database with the given credentials.
INST:6102 Unable to connect to the database with the given credentials.
    TROUBLESHOOTING

Whenever installing oracle databases, i install the software only first. Then i setup the listener. Then i create a database instance using the dbca tool. This way all the information is added to the pre-existing listener configurations rather than trying to create the listener afterwards. Also, during the dbca database creation, i supply a full service name such as orcl.hostname and use the service name in future configurations where it asked. This usually solves any issues of the listener or database not being found correctly.

  • Weblogic Server 10.3.5 - Configuration Wizard Error

    Hi
I am a newbie to forum threads. Please dont mind if I posted incorrectly.
When I try to run configuration wizard of weblogic server 10.3.5, I am getting the following error.
    Java Virtual Machine Launcher
Could not find the main class:
    com.oracle.cie.wizard.WizardController. Program will exit.
I have't moved any files from installatio directory.
Please anyone help me out to resolve the issue.
    Thanks in advance.

How are you trying to run the installer?
Is it a .exe file OR a .bin file OR a .jar file?
I am assuming that it is a .jar file.
The .jar installers would need JAVA to be pre-installed and then use the pre-installed Java to run the installer
    Something like:
    <JAVA_HOME>\bin\java -jar wls1035_generic.jar
where JAVA_HOME is the location of the Java Installation
Please review the following documentation for further information:

  • How do I configure DW to open and load a file?

I have DreamWeaver CS5 running on a Mac. Whenever I double-click to open a DreamWeaver compatible file (such as an HTML file), if DW is not already open, DW launches but does not load the file. Once DW is launced, I can double-click the file and it will load. How do I configure DW to open and load a file together?
    DW: v11 b 4993
    OS X: 10.7.4 (11E53)

HTML files are normally configured to open in a browser. The default on a Mac is to open the file in Safari.
You can right-click the filename in the Mac Finder, and select Open With > Dreamweaver CS5 from the context menu.
Alternatively, select an HTML file in Mac Finder, and press Cmd+I to open the Info panel. In the Open With section, select Dreamweaver CS5 as the default program, and click the Change All button.

    1. Situation
OS: windows 2000 pro – English
Java version: jdk 1.5.x was already installed. (It’s not permitted to change.)
I don’t have any authorization to install any software on the PC.
But I need to use an Integration Builder.
I already knew URLs of an Integration Builder (http://<hostname>:50000/rep/start/repository.jnlp).
    2. How To Do
At this moment, an Integration Builder (XI 3.0) can be launch under jre 1.4.x environment (on windows).
    2.1 jre preparation
    I download j2re-1_4_2_10-windows-i586-p.exe from http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/download.html
I installed it on my home PC and copied all files from C:\Program Files\Java\ j2re1.4.2_10\ into my USB.
2.2 Put them into the system
I pasted j2re1.4.2_10 folder from my USB into the windows 2000 pro system.
Finally, I could list up all of javaws.exe under this system.
    c:\j2re1.4.2_10\javaws\javaws.exe
    c:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.5.0_05\bin\javaws.exe

2.3 Execute a Java Web Start under jre 1.4.x version
    I executed c:\j2re1.4.2_10\javaws\javaws.exe .
    2.4 Change Java Runtime Versions
Go to File-> Preferences -> Java
As you can see, it indicates 1.5 version.
    Click [FIND] button.
    Click [NEXT] button.
    Click the j2re1.4.2_10 folder.
    Click [NEXT] button.
A JRE Finder is able to find javaw.exe automatically. Or you can indicate C:\j2re1.4.2_10\bin\javaw.exe directly.
    Click [NEXT] button.
Finally, there are two Java Runtime Versions. Now you need to uncheck the Enabled column of 1.5 version and check 1.4 version.
    Click [OK] button.
Well, in the General tab, I selected None for Proxies.
    2.5 Launch an Integration Builder
In the Location field, I typed the URL of an Integration Builder jnlp.
    http://<hostname>:50000/rep/start/repository.jnlp
SAP Integration Builder comes up inside Applications area.
Select it and click [Start] button.
If you click Environment-> Integration Builder (Configuration), you can launch Integration Builder: Configuration.

I am not getting anywhere with deploying my application or
    applet.
I have set up my bc4j project. It contains all my VO info,
    links, application module. (proj a)
I then have another project with DbInfo in it(has all my rowset
info), Multiple Frames, and my Applet.java file.
Actually I have an Applet.java file and a Application.java file
because I was seeing if both/either worked. Anyway they seem the
same, except for that extra window that comes up when you run the
    applet.
I follow the steps in the oracle directions (from earlier post).
And all seems ok. But at ---->
[*] Select the subdirectory under myhtml where your applet's HTML
    file
is located, and enter the directory path of the 'staging'
    directory you
created in step 3 above, if different from the default.</li>
[*]Select the HTML files that JDeveloper created to run your
    applet.</li>
[*]Select all of the Java source files in your project that make
    up the
    applet.</li>
I have no HTML file associated with my applet, at least that I
    know of.
So do I need to create one, or should it of been done
    automatically.
Also, I trying to figure out what will be the best way to deploy
my project. Applet or stand alone application is what my first
choices have been so far. I have read that there is some issues
with applets being served from a different server than the
database. So a stand alone application was my front runner, but
I haven't gotten either way to work yet.

  • How do I configure a deployed webapp (war) for access without port numbers

    Using WLS 11g.
Have created a managed server called "DeplymentServer". This managed server is listening on port 9005.
I have deployed a war, webapp, and selected the DeploymentServer as its "target".
The war file was originally on our 10g OAS and deployed as OC4J and I made no changes to prior to deploying to our 11g Weblogic installation.
On 10g we used to be able to call the webapp directly from one of our webpage like this:
    https://cxxxxx.nswc.navy.mil/wizardapp/wizard?REQUEST=Change_Request_Form
Now on 11g I have to remove the "s" from https and include the port. So now my url looks like this
    http://cxxxxx.nswc.navy.mil:9005/wizardapp/wizard?REQUEST=Change_Request_Form
I am currently testing this behind a firewall so http will work here as will the port, but when we go live these won't.
    My questions are:
    1) Is there a way to configure the webapp deployment or the managed server, so I don't have to include the port number to access my deployment?
    2) How to I configure so I don't have to remove the s from https.
At the moment question 1 is more pressing.
I think If I can get question 1 squared away question 2 may get corrected as well.
Thanks in advance for any help.
    Steve.

    Hi Steve,
Port 443 is the default HTTPS listen port for Servers...so to access an application using : https://cxxxxx.nswc.navy.mil/wizardapp/wizard?REQUEST=Change_Request_Form .... You were not needed to provide the 443 protocol in the URL because ur Server (Or the frontend proxy) was also listening on 443 SSL port.
Now as u want to use HTTP Protocol...(Port 80 is the default HTTP listen port so it will not be visible in the URL)... So you have 2 options now:
Option-1). Either u change the Server Port to 80 (Server in which ur Application is deployed) so that the Port will not be visible on the URL.
Option 2). Install a WebProxy (on Port 80 infront of the WebLogic Server)...and by pass the requests to the WLS through the Proxy. like: http://weblogic-wonders.com/weblogic/2010/05/13/apache-proxy-as-static-content-repository/
    Thanks

    2) Bellsouth modem which feeds into the Airport Extreme Base Station (AEBS)
    3) The AEBS has a USB hub which is connected to a external hard drive and two inkjet printers. A third laser printer/scanner/fax machine is connected to the AEBS via ethernet.
    4) All three computers use a wireless connection to the AEBS.
    I would like the following:
    1) Have a secured and password driven network - don't want outsiders connecting to the nework without permission.
    2) All computers to be able to access the USB printers and ext HD.
    3) The two Macs to read/write to each other with password access
    4) The iMac to have read/write capabalities over the PC via VSFusion or Bootcamp if possible.
Currently, all three have Internet access via the AEBS and can print on the ethernet printer. Both Macs can see the Bonjour USB printers and print (however they to do not display on the AEBS configuration display utility and neither does the ext HD). The USB ext HD is shown on the iMac desktop and I have access to it, but does not display on the MacBook. I have not checked if the PC sees the external HD and it really does not matter if it ever does, although it would be nice.
I am hoping that there is some standard configuration that I can "cut and paste" that is generally used to allow a home network to share resources while still being secure.
Any advice and help is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Andrew

    Andrew,
What you would like is fairly complicated so this will probably be a lengthy post, but hopefully I can assist you.
As others here have pointed out, networks can vary widely, but the best networks have one element in common: planning. The first thing you need to think about is how you would like all of these systems to cooperate. For instance, do you want one of the machines to serve files to the others and be a central repository, or are you just interested in having them share documents on occasion so that you don't have to carry around, say, a USB key all the time? That said, here is a basic list of things I think you should look into.
    1. Network Basics
First step is to get your local network set up. I'd go for WPA or WPA2 wireless security as they are relatively strong standards and you can use human-readable passwords. Additionally, unless you have an explicit need for someone outside your network to initialize a connection (Windows' RDP for instance), do not allow any passthroughs or port redirects on your AEBS.
    2. Network Topology
Decide how you want computers and networked devices to identify themselves and their relative locations in the network: in short, do you want static ip's or dynamic ip's? Most of the time, static IP's can be assigned on a DHCP router, the trick is to assign the statics higher than your number of devices (or lower on some routers - for instance Linksys routers start DHCP at 192.168.1.100 but you could have statics from 192.168.1.2 to 192.168.1.99). For instance, it is impractical to set a laptop to static because I'm often in coffee shoppes and other environments that assign via DHCP; on the other hand, it's a good idea to have a printer be static so that you always know where to find it. So, I have 10.0.1.x network (default on AEBS), and the printer is 10.0.1.24, since the likelihood of my encountering an IP conflict with 4 computers on the subnet is virtually zero. If you configure a static device behind your AEBS, defaults are usually
    Default Gateway 10.0.1.1
    IP Address 10.0.1.(your choice)
    Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0
    3. File-sharing.
3a) Mac OS X has a built-in SMB/CIFS (Windows file & printer sharing protocol) client, and a basic SMB [samba] server can be enabled in the sharing preference panel (enable file and/or printer sharing). Windows XP can use these shares, but must authenticate. For that reason, you may not be able to see your shares in the Network Places browser, however you should be able to get to them by mapping the network drive (tools menu) or executing RUN with \\computer.name\share.name. You will then be able to type in your credentials. I would also suggest relatively simple names for the Macs in question (set in Sharing preference pane). Typing Andrew's-iMac-G4 in every time you want to find it will get irritating after a while to say the least, especially if you need to troubleshoot.
3b) The reverse works similarly. You can Connect to Server... from Finder to get to the Windows shares. To do this you must have Windows File and Printer sharing enabled (most easily through the Network Setup Wizard in Control Panels - Use Classic View). It's really easy if your account names and passwords are identical on the Mac and PC, because when loading user profiles, the Mac will generally automatically try to authenticate against the Windows machine with your Mac logon credentials. (Windows seems to do this against the Mac as well) You can write an Applescript or there are some PLIST modifications you can make to mount Windows shares at login.
    4. Printing
I'm not exactly sure what you had in mind here since I'm not sure what's connected to which computer or directly to the network. If it is possible, I personally find putting my printers directly on the network to be the easiest thing. Especially if printing large PDF or graphics files, the spooling on the host system can really slow the computer down, and slow down printing. For example, I used to have a laserjet on a Windows box and had to print a very large file. Going through a Win print server, it only printed a page every 30 seconds, but when I got a jetdirect adapter, the whole thing was done in under two minutes. If you have HP Printers, I would recommend the jetdirect print servers (I have used with both a laserjet and a supposedly unsupported color inkjet).

  • How do you configure the server in this situation?????????????

    Hi,
We have Oracle 10.2 and Windows 2003.
We have Oracle on Cluster (with Windows software).
When the System are without cluster all it’s OK!!!!!!
We have 2 Resources Cluster Group: Oracle and Applications.
We have Oracle in Oracle cluster group.
We have “W” Drive and a ftp program in Application cluster group.
We have C drive in both nodes. We have installed Oracle in both nodes but we have “W” drive only associate to the Active Node because is a Cluster resource (Application cluster group).
All days we receive text files by ftp and we put it on W Drive. This text files are readen with external tables in Oracle.
We have a problem when oracle fails and it goes to the another node (for ex. node2) because the external tables fail because the files are on Node1 on W Drive. If we move manually Applications cluster resource to Node2 then all it is OK.
We think to put UNC pathes instead of “W” but it’s not possible (Metalink: Note:290703.1)
How do you configure the server in this situation?????????????
    Thanks!

We run a similar configurations and i doubt you have a chance other then reconfigure your setup. The way we do it is to have an ftp client in our database group and periodically transfer the files a second time (not elegant but it's working).
If that's not an option you might be able to use unc names in your ftp server and set the ftp root to a directory hosted on a disk which is part of the database group.
Or move to unix (that's what we do now). Than you don't have to bounce your server once in a month to apply security patches...
