How to listen to button click in a panel?

I need to create actionListenr in a JFrame for two buttons inside of a JPanel.
The JPanel is in the JFrame
The JPanel has two buttons which will import/export stuffs.
The JFrame will be updated when the buttons import/export.
I already finished the JPanel part, the buttons work well and are able to do what I want them to do.
But how do I make the JFrame to be able to listen to what's going on with the JPanel? How does the JFrame know when the buttons are clicked and there is something new imported?
Thank you if anyone has some advice to offer and please feel free to ask me if something i said is not clear enough.

What do you mean by JFrame "listening"? What does the JFrame do? Actually, they shouldn't be "doing" much of anything at all. JFrames should be part of the visible portion of a model. I recommend that you post your code. You should compress it so that it is as small as possible yet still illustrate your problem / question, and yet still compile so we can run it, a so-called SSCCE. Hello All
I have solved this problem.
Go to Query panel properties inspector and set Display mode = simple
and drag an af- command button outside of the query panel.

How to make a button click make text appear elsewhere on the screen

I have a map of the US and each state has a rollover that changes the color of the state...what i am trying to figure out is how to click on the state and have text appear to the side of the US map and have that text stay up until the user clicks on another state. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Good... keep working at it... I was already preparing the following for you, but if you pursue your own solution you will learn more and become more comfortable with working with Flash.
If you want to look at what I was going to offer to possibly streamline what you end up with, or just have trouble, here it is...
Select one of your states and give it an instance name in the properties panel... let's say you pick Utah and you name the instance "utah" For example sake, let's say you also do the same for Ohio (naming it "ohio").
Create a dynamic textfield where you want the text to be displayed and assign it an instance name, let's say you name it... "stateInfo"
Create a new layer for actionscript so that you can assign some code for teh states. In that layer, in the frame where the states are, select the empty keyframe, open the Actions panel, and place all of the following code there...

I am scripting an import of a PowerPoint file into Keynote ('08), and I encounter this dialog about reviewing warnings. I need to just click one of the buttons, "Don't Review", but I don't know how to do that. I've tried application clicks and window 1 clicks, but they do not work. I couldn't find a way to suppress warnings anywhere. Suggestions, anyone? Thanks.

Show/hide panels on button click

Hello,
I have to show/hides several panels on same palette on some button actions. I am trying to check whether it is possible to add each child panel in different .fr files.
Just to brief, On panel I have different icon buttons and on each button I have to show different view in the main panel thus I cannot use tabular dialog. Please help me to find a way to achieve this?

Multiple Buttons in JTable Headers: Listening for Mouse Clicks

I am writing a table which has table headers that contain multiple buttons. For the header cells, I am using a custom cell renderer which extends JPanel. A JLabel and JButtons are added to the JPanel.
Unfortunately, the buttons do not do anything. (Clicking in the area of a button doesn't appear to have any effect; the button doesn't appear to be pressed.)
Looking through the archives, I read a suggestion that the way to solve this problem is to listen for mouse clicks on the table header and then determine whether the mouse clicks fall in the area of the button. However, I cannot seem to get coordinates for the button that match the coordinates I see for mouse clicks.
The coordinates for mouse clicks seem to be relative to the top left corner of the table header (which would match the specification for mouse listeners). I haven't figured out how to get corresponding coordinates for the button. The coordinates returned by JButton.getBounds() seem to be relative to the top left corner of the panel. I hoped I could just add those to the coordinates for the panel to get coordinates relative to the table header, but JPanel.getBounds() gives me negative numbers for x and y (?!?). JPanel.getLocation() gives me the same negative numbers. When I tried JPanel.getLocationOnScreen(), I get an IllegalComponentStateException:

Can someone tell me how to get coordinates for the button on the JTableHeader? Or is there an easier way to do this (some way to make the buttons actually work so I can just use an ActionListener like I normally would)?

I have had this same problem. For me it always occurs on Mandrake (I've only tried 8.0 and 8.1), but I have never had it occur on other Linux distributions such as Red Hat or Debian.
Quick caveat: Although Sun says that this is not a
bug I have installed Java on 5 different computers
with various versions of Mandrake Linux (7.1, 8.0, and
8.1) In these installations a left click (the main
button click) will return a mouse event with a button
mask of BUTTON1_MASK + BUTTON3_MASK instead of simply
BUTTON1_MASK. This makes your popup window appear on
every mouse click instead of just right button click.
The solution (until this bug is fixed) is to see if
the int returned from the getModifiers() method on
mouse event == BUTTON1_MASK + BUTTON3_MASK and if it
does then DONT popup the window.
Oddly enough, I've had other people test this and they
tell me that the mouse events return the proper button
mask but every time I've tested it I get this bug.
Just a FYI. If you see that behavior then this is how
to fix it.

How to capture Button Click in OAF

I never tried this... But can suggest you something.....
Create a Upload type of item in your region, which will allow you to browse your Image file.
Attach a VO attribute which will be based on EO. VO attibute will be based on Databse column of BLOB type, which will store the image in DB.
If you want to transfer this file to application server's any directory, you can do that also.
But above is solution to your problem..

You can change the scene by calling stage.setScene(new Scene(newContentParent));
I don't think you are quite asking for a complete scene change though as you "want the main window and the scene in one stage". The main window is a stage (as Stage extends Window). And a given stage can only contain one scene at a time (though you can swap it out by calling setScene as described earlier).
What I think you are really asking for how can you replace some content part of the active Scene on the Stage. To do that you can set a layout manager like a HBox or a BorderPane as the root of your scene, then change out the content of the layout manager. For example:

How can i print an excel spreadsheet file by clicking a button on the front panel

i have designed a vi that logs data into an excel spreadsheet. i want to take print out of the file when the user clicks a button on the front panel. what to do if there is very large amount of data.

Printing the Excel sheet is just an ActiveX method call to print the worksheet. To add data to the worksheet, you already have the reference, just call a print method. As for handling large amounts of data, that is a vague question. The data will print how ever you placed it on the worksheet. If what you mean is that you don't want to print out 25 pages every time, the print method has options to only print specific pages or ranges. You may want to play around with a sample spreadsheet to learn the printing options. For help on the ActiveX functions, make sure you have the Visual Basic help installed for Excel.

For This I have added a JScript in Layout folder in VS 2010 empty project solution and I have put

i am struck in this concept please help some one.
i am using two seperated forms and each form having one data grid.
In first datagrid i am having 5 rows and one button(outside the data grid with lable MOVE). when i am click a row from the datagrid and click the MOVE button means that row should disable from the present datagrid and that row will go and visible in the second datagrid.
i dont want drag and drop method, i want this process only using button click handler.
how to do this?
