How to load the same classes of the same name, from different jars

Hi,
I have several different versions of my project in respective jars. I am trying to develop a configuration app, which will have the most current version of my app packaged within it. Then the user will make a selection, and if that selection is an older version, a specific class from one of the jars...which will continue to load other classes within that same jar. If it is the current version, the class will be found within the codebase.
My question is if this is even possible? Can I load a class from a jar file which has the same file name and package as what is in my current code?

So I have been searchin around, and found some good tutorials on classloaders, But i still see a problem.
Whether I use the same classloader for different sources or not, the problem lies within the reference to the class i am loading. Since this class (a different version of it), is also in the classpath, how does the code know which class is being returned?
I am having trouble putting this into words, but basically. i don't see how my application will know that i am returning an instance of a class which is not in my classpath.

Do you mean "two different layers" as in separate JVMs or "two different layers" as in functional areas running within the same JVM.
In either case, if the first class is actually semantically and functionally the same as the second (and they are always intended to be the same) then import and and use the first class in place of the second. That's beyond any question of how to get the data of the first into the second if and when you need to.
Once you make the breakthrough and use one class instead of two I'd guess that almost solves your problem. But if you want to describe your architecture a little that would help others pin down want you're trying to do.

I cannot find a method or property in ACEDAO to retrieve the precision and scale of a field. Maybe you could try get the number of a decimal type and use some mathematical methods to get the precision.
I find there are some way to get the precision by ADO or OLEDB.

What's the definition of your ClientHandler class?
You can send any file you want to a machine that supports a server that is able to write the files. Its all up to the target machine what it will allow you to do. Is your target machine running an FTP server? If so you can use the URL class to send files to it.

How to load BeginningBalance and movements into HFM via FDM from ERPI

I have a file generated by ERPI with the columns of |AMOUNT|BEGIN_BALANCE_DR|BEGIN_BALANCE_CR|PERIOD_NET_DR|PERIOD_NET_CR|
among many other columns.
How can load them via FDM into the Custom1 dimension in HFM, which contains BeginningBalance, Additions, Disposals, etc.
So basically I will have a trial balance, which I can compare with GL and OBI.

I am using B2B 11g version and documents of type ANSI-X12. I am working for Inbound Transaction and using Generic File protocol in Listening channel.
File format is : %FROM_PARTY%_%TO_PARTY%_%DOCTYPE_NAME%_%DOCTYPE_REVISION%.dat
How can i make B2B to identify Trading partner names from the file name once the remote trading partner put the file in the specified path with the specified format "%FROM_PARTY%_%TO_PARTY%_%DOCTYPE_NAME%_%DOCTYPE_REVISION%.dat" mentioned in the delivery channel.
Now B2B is identifying Trading partner names from the Interchange Sender ID(ISA06) and Interchange Reciever ID(ISA08) of the ISA Segment. Please help me , how to make B2B to identify the trading partner names from the file name instead of from identifiers coming in ISA Segment.

But still B2B Identifying the TPNames at runtime from the ISA Segment elements ISA06 & ISA08 element values. I want to make B2B to identify the TPNames at run time from the file name instead of from ISA Segments.
Please tell me how can i do these?
2) I am giving exact Remote Trading partner Default Identifier Type 'NAME' value for "%FROM_PARTY% in the file format and i want B2B to identify the TP name at runtime based on the value of "%FROM_PARTY%" . If the value of "%FROM_PARTY%"is matching with any one of the Trading partner Default Identifier Type 'NAME' value than it should go for furthur else B2B should through error as " the TP name unable to found".
3) Please tell me how B2B Identify trading partners at runtime in the business case given below

I have one requirement in which we want only column names from different tables.
for example :
I have three tables T1 ,T2, T3 having
col1 clo2 clo3 --> T1 ,

columns i want to get only all Column names from all table as single Resultset not any data from that how can i get that empty resultset
because this empty result i want to bind in datagridview(front end) as Empty resultset

If I understand you want an empty result set, just with metadata. SET FMTONLY do the trick:
SET FMTONLY ON

Another alternative is to include an imposible contition

If you are using a SqlDataAdapter in your client application. You can use the FillSchema method. the select command may be any select statement that returns the columns you want. Under the covers FillSchema will call SET FMTONLY ON.
If you are using SqlCommand.ExecuteReader you can pass SchemaOnly to CommandBehavior argument. SET FMTONLY ON is called under the covers. Again the select command may be any select statement that returns the columns you want.

How to load multiple HTML5 canvas on the same page (the proper method)

I've been struggling to load multiple canvas animations on the same page. At the beggining I thought that exporting the movies with different namespaces and reloading the libraries in a sequential flow might work, but it doesn't. It always loads just the last animation loaded. More info here: Coding challenge: what am I doing wrong?
Here is a sample of what I'm doing:
1st: Publish two flash movies with custom namespaces for "lib" set in the "publish settings": "libFirst" and "libSecond".
2nd: Edit the canvas tags in the HTML page. One called "firstCanvas" and the other one called "secondCanvas"
3rd: Edit the javascript like this:

I was able to fix it. At the end, it was easier than I thought. Just have to publish using a different "lib" namespace for each movie, load all the scripts at the end of the <body> and then add the following to the onload or ready events:

How do I call methods with the same name from different classes

I have a user class which needs to make calls to methods with the same name but to ojects of a different type.
My User class will create an object of type MyDAO or of type RemoteDAO.
The RemoteDAO class is simply a wrapper class around a MyDAO object type to allow a MyDAO object to be accessed remotely. Note the interface MyInterface which MyDAO must implement cannot throw RemoteExceptions.
Problem is I have ended up with 2 identical User classes which only differ in the type of object they make calls to, method names and functionality are identical.
Is there any way I can get around this problem?

How to deploy a single class to the web portal?

EDIT: I've been able to create the deployment file. I found an older copy of NWDS and the old project folders are working perfectly again. I'll cross that bridge with the new version another time.
Firstly, sorry if this post is in the wrong section ... I looked around and couldn't find a section that I thought fitted.
A while back my company created a simple login module to similate a single sign on for our network. The module worked perfectly for a few months, then about a months ago it started rejecting logins for no apparent reason. I've asked all involved with the system and everyone claims that they haven't touched anything and that the problem must be within the Java class.
Due to recent workstation upgrades, I now have the latest version of NetWeaver Development Studio installed (SDN_Preview_SR_5_IDECE71). This new version does not like the old project that was created for this task, and I am struggling to create a new project which will do what I need.
Can someone point me to up-to-date documentation that explains how I can create a project which contains only a single java class that is to be deployed to a web portal? The class that is created extends the SAP class; com.sap.engine.interfaces.security.auth.AbstractLoginModule.

And that was of no help as it seems the documentation is no longer up-to-date with the current version ... or am I looking at the wrong documentation?
Another possibility is to install the older NetWeaver Development Studio, the problem here is I do not know where I can download a copy for Windows? I can only find the latest version for Windows online.

You need to do the following:
- Upload the text file as a local configuration file in the "Local Content":

- Create an OS Update Profile for the configuration file:

- Create a job and select the profile you have created as well as the servers you want to deploy the text file on:

How to load/save a file in the WEB-INF?

how can i load and save files in the WEB-INF directory using servlet?

This doesn't save files. And in order to reuseability and maintainability, I'd rather use java.io and passing the path/filename around in File object.
You can retrieve the absolute path for "/WEB-INF" byString absoluteWebInfPath = getServletContext().getRealPath("/WEB-INF");Then you can use that to read/write files.
File file = new File(absoluteWebInfPath, "filename.ext");
InputStream input = FileUtil.read(file);
FileUtil.write(file, input);and so on.
