I'm in need of a proper javascript code that access standard jsf component.
Like we do for html tags;
if( el.tagName.toLowerCase() != 'select')
I need to do the same thing for a jsf tag i.e; <h:selectOneMenu>. How to make javascript access <h:selectOneMenu> like it does with <select> tag ? Please let me know asap. Extremely sorry if the question is kind of stupid....cause I'm a beginner for JSF environment.

Thanks in advance.Ummmm, I may be off the beaten path, but by the time your javascript is called the h:selectOneMenu would be a select tag within the dom. You should be able to reference that tag as you normally would.

"How to split threaded text frames to single ones?"
"SplitStory.jsx" or "BreakFrame.jsx" under Scripts/Samples indeed could be the answer.
From the comments in the code of "BreakFrame.jsx":

It works fine for internet explorer.
But in netscape navigator 8.0 as the tab browsing is there

A browser is never been intended to work in fullscreen mode. Trying to control the size a browser is displayed in, is considered bad practice and sites that do it are usually very annoying. -

}To process, for example, the second example you showed, you would have to do the following call:
processText("001.002.003.004.005", ".", 4)Maybe this is not the best solution but as I've seen in the javascript API that indexOf and lastIndexOf are only for the first and last occurrence, that's why I included the for loop. Hope this helps.

There is currently no native way to email groups from iPad.
The only way to do this is if your recipients are already members a a distribution group controlled elsewhere such as a Google Group or an Exchange Organisation, then you can email the distribution group address which will then in turn forward to the individual email address of the members.
Does it have to be email as currently you would have to add each recipient to the email manually.
iOS to my knowledge doesn't support contact groups in context other than organisation. -
How to make a Previous/Next Menu
Hi there. This is my first time posting in the Adobe forums so please be patient if I don't do things correctly.
I currently have the Adobe Web Design CS5 package and all the programs that come with it, but my question is specifically about Dreamweaver. My computer is a Macbook with the latest operating system as far as I know.
I've been trying to create a next/previous menu for parts of my own personal website. It's http://www.aidenart.com . If you click on the link to the Concept Art page you should see a bunch of image thumbnails that act as links. Click on any one of those images and you're suppose to see the full image from the thumbnail in a whole new page. On the pages with the full images I would like to include, at the bottom, a jump menu so that a visitor can pick any of the pages that they might want to see (I already know how to do this part), but I would also like to include buttons which allow the visitor to visit the next image in the list and also the previous one in the list. You know, a previous and next menu. I've seen other websites using those kinds of buttons so I know it's possible somehow.
By looking at the source code of some websites and doing a bit of research on my own, I think this can be done using javascript of some kind. Maybe by using an "onClick" behaviour or something. I looked at a few different web help sites, including W3 Schools, and I still haven't found any clear cut explanations on how to make a previous/next menu. If someone could just show me the basic code for making a simple one that actual works then I could probably work from that.
I would prefer it if I didn't have to bother with the dreamweaver extenstions section because most things listed in the exchange are something you have to pay for. And for those of you who think I should just make individual links on each page, please keep in mind that I'll want to add more pages in the future. Most likely a lot of pages. I also want to be able to make previous/next menus for the comics section of my website for when I have more comic pages available, so I really need to know how to do this.

I can try to provide code if you guys want although I'm not sure how that would help solve my current problem.Only way to do pagination effectively requires either a database or XML files containing your data. Neither way is really for a beginner based on my experience with both. And based on the size of your library right now, pagination isn't what you really need.
If it is going to be an image gallery you could look into the php Gallery script if you have a mySQL database ( http://gallery.menalto.com/ ). But for simple solutions.
For even smaller solutions you can look to JQuery solutions. They require minimal amounts of coding, mostly just file inclusions.

Hello everybody. I am a web designer (NOT a developer)
I created a form and I'm not sure how to make the 'submit' button send me the collected information.
I have used phpform.org/ to custom build a submission form. Then I opened that html in dreamweaver (so that I could edit colors, fonts, and delete the phpform.org advetisement)
Now I need to link the 'submit button' so that it will e-mail me the completed form.
(formphp.org wants me to subscribe to a servie that I pay for in order to have the form e-mailed to myself.)
(after I get the submit button linked to an e-mail I will pull the html of my completed form into Muse- but I don't think that is really relevent)
I'm sure one of you can help point me in the right direction! I can't write my own code so detailed help is appreciated!

You'll need to find a script (php) and save it to your local site folder. Then reference the script in your form's action attribute like so.
<form action="path/form-to-email-script.php" >
The input fields in your HTML form need to exactly match the script variables.
I'm assuming you're hosted on a Linux server which uses PHP code. Linux servers are also case sensitive, so upper case names are not the same as lower case names. It's usually best to use all lower case names in your form and script to avoid confusion.

HI ALL:
Can anyone tell me how to make a JApplet run in a IE.
I am using JComponents and Visibroker for JAVA ORB for connecting to another ORB's which would in-turn connect to a C++ Server and finally to the SQL Server.
I am getting a NoclassFoundException whenever I am running my JApplet.

The Cabase file is a winzip file having all the ORB's compliant classes and my source classes to interact with the ORB Server.

RiteshI have been having exactly the same problems but I was using JDK 1.2.
I discovred the problem could be resolved by using the Plug-in on navigaor or IE and bingo it was perfect.
I also discovered that using the AppletViwer would allow me to see the applet. Then I upgraded to JDK1.3 or 2 or whatever it is and nothing.
I recompiled the classes using the !.3 still nothing. The applet vewer don't work and the plug in don't work.
I tried to recompile using the oldjavac ( I assume 1.2) and nothing I do will make this JApplet run. Ordinary a�pplets are OK. Applications with swing are OK, but JAPPLets are dead
I have come to the conclusion SUN has screwed up big time and are frantically scrabbling about looking for a fix. I have reveert to javascript/DHTML as this is both consistent and stable and for considerably less effort and aggravation you can get 90% of the functioonality. -
How to make icon_checkbox enable in ALV list
Hi,
I am using the checkbox icon (icon_checkbox) to write into my ALV by using this FM REUSE_ALV_HIERSEQ_LIST_DISPLAY.
The output of the ALV will be like this:-
header- | Col A | Col B | Col C | Col D
line item1- chkbox 1 456 789
line item2- chkbox 2 xyz kkk
The first coloumn (Col A) is the checkbox.
I am facing problem when using icon_checkbox to display it at the ALV. Currently my checkbox is showing all check in all item and I can't check and uncheck it.
My question is:
1. Is it possible to make the checkbox enable/editable by writing the icon_checkbox?
2. How to make the checkbox enable/editable?
