Use the end-points of your line to create a Polygon which provides a border round it, then use Graphics.fillPolygon.

Since now 2 days I am trying to figure out how to make a curve dotted line with photoshop CS3 on WinXP. I know how to make a strait line using the line tool.
Now, how to make a curve line ? I tried the pen tool, but it ended up with a filled shape rather than with a curve line
How to set the thickness of this curve ?
How to make a dotted curve ?
Of course, I don't want to use hand-drawings with the brush.

Used the Pen tool, but click on the correct icon on the top left on the Options Bar. That way you can get a Path instead of a Shape Layer.
Once you have your Path you can stroke it with a Brush or any drawing tool. Various options appear in the Brushes palette. For a dotted line you will need to increase the spacing. If you want dashes, use a square brush and set the Angle Jitter to Direction.

Lets take an example of ODS Accounts Payable: Line Items Technical Name: 0FIAP_O03
install all this 0FIAP_O03 ODS from the Business content.

After installing make sure that all the infoobjects and transfer rules and update rules are in active state
Step3
Now type the transaction code RRMX , you will get into the query designer

Select the Infoprovider from the above example 0FIAP_O03 . now you will arrive to the screen where you can see Rows and colums
Step5
Drag and drop the characteristic infoobject in to the row which is necesseayfor the report output
Step6
Drag and drop the Keyfigure infoobject into the column which is necesseayfor the report output
Step7
Now under Free characteristics draga and drop the charactor infoobject which you need to navigate in the reporting.
Note: Before dragging the objects in the freecharacteristic make sure that you need to check the navigation in the ODS level
Step8
Now save the report , when you save give the technical name of the report and save
now execute the report

Im having a problem with making 1 animation. I want to make a slowly appearing line. The scene is a pencil drawing a line.. so as the pen end moves a line is slowly appearing, i couldnt get the tecnique on doin this, can anyone give me an idea?

I would take either the mask or the blocking approach for that. Below is an image showing how I did it using the blocking approach. You can maybe see the curved blocker piece that I gradually slide off the stage as the pencil moves along (it's white so you can't see it on the white stage). The straight lines you see were done just extending their length with timeline tweens on layers above the curved lines. You basically have to get a little creative with the way you reveal things gradually--often working piece by piece for more intricate line drawings.

I have an image (jpeg file) and I would like to draw a circle around it and a line through it -- you know, turn it into one of those International "Don't Do This" signs.

I'm using Pages '09 version 4.1

Insert a round Shape and give it a very thick border with equally thick line (also in Shapes) diagonally across the circle.
To add the image just drag it onto the shape and when you positioned it the way you like it, group the two.

How can i draw a straight line with a brush?

i know the pencil tool can draw a straight line with anchor points. is there a setting for the pencil tool that can mimic a 30 point brush, low hardness (faded side to side) at about an 80 degree angle or is there a way to make a straight line with the brush tool using a mouse?
i know this image is a bit blurry. what i want to do is replace the 2 white angled lines with the 30 point brush effect 230 pixels wide. the project on the left of the pic is a 2ft by 4ft canvas. any ideas? please help.

Only on Photoshop CC does this happen, drawing a diagonal line with shift key, instead of line starting dark & then fading out, it does the reverse, starts on nothing & then darkens towards anchor point. I am on trial versions & can't purchase until this is cleared up.

How to make one rectangle box line curved

Hello:
have started using Illustrator and love it but am unsure of how to do something. What I have done is create a basic business card that has a white background. I would like the bottom half of the card to be a different colour so I added a block of blue using the rectangle tool. That looks great but I would like the top line of the rectangle, which is in the middle of the card, to be in a wave like shape.
How does one do that please ? Thank you.

I am fairly new to Keynote in general, however I would like to leverage it's capabilities to enhance my projects at work (where I have a Windows7 PC w/o admin rights to install software). Try this:
File>New>blank file
Duplicate the background layer, and work on the background copy layer
Get the Elliptical marquee tool out of the toolbxox. Drag out an ellipse
Go to Edit menu>Stroke (outline) selection, try width=4x, position:inside
Use the eraser tool to erase part of the ellipse
Use the transform tool (CTRL+T) to rotate and skew the remaining curve to suit
It's a bit tedious, but it can be done.

How can I rectify horrible thick lines after SVG import into Illustrator

I have an SVG file that displays fine in InkScape but erroneously displays lines as huge thick blocks in Illustrator. The SVG file was created originally by Sibelius 7 music notation app. The only reason I would consider buying Illustrator would be to import Sibelius generated SVG files for graphic manipulation. So I would dearly love to sort this out, or it's a big no-no to Illustrator. Any help really welcome! Thanks in advance!

How to make a simple 2D line, appear to have perspective?

I have a 2D line drawing, similar to the form of the attatched. The attatched is not mine however, it is what I want to achieve (exactly, i.e the angle, the orientation etc.)
I've played with the 3D rotate in AI as well as the ectrude and bevel. I can't get anything like what I have posted below . I use the preview then rotate the '3D box' in small increments but it never looks right, either that or it becomes distorted.
I may be asking for a lot here, but looking at the attatched can you guess the angle that I should used if I want to rotate my 2d lines into a perspective, it's the exact angle I want!

Does anyone know of a tutorial on how to create a decent corkscrew-like curly line? I've been wracking my brain trying to find a good way to do it in Illustrator, but haven't been able to do anything clean. Rather than just step-repeating half of an ellipse, realize you can stretch a complete coil using the Reshape Tool as shown in these PDFs:

Import-csv how to make powershell ignore a line in a csv file if a column contains a certain value

Basically I got a very basic script that uses a csv file to input values needed to remove people from a distro list. That part is working fine. I'd like to add to it's functionality so it can look at values in a certain column, and if any of those certain
values are present, I want powershell to skip that line and not process it. For instance I have a column in the csv called Group. If I have a listing under Group that says ABC I want the script to skip that line and not try to process it. What could I insert
into the script to acheive this?
