How to make Google custom search results appear on a new page?

Anybody got any idea how to make the search results appear on a separate page? I'm using the Google custom search to get generated code to place on my pages, after providing some 'guidance' information on the look and feel of it. Normally, Google will provide you with a few options to choose from to determine how your results will look and by default one would choose the "two page" option whilst going thru the setup process. One page for the search box on your own page and one for the results page.
However, if you don't want a 'google-generated' results page but want the layout that's in line with the look of your site AND have the search box already on there for any repeat searches it becomes more tricky. I tried doing it one way, which I found one a blog tutorial but so far no sucess. The 'search box' code that I inserted onto one of my pages to test didn't show up the search box at all in preview or the live page...
Anybody got any generic code that can be adapted (that they know works) or know of any tutorial that explains how to achieve this? Preferably Google related, as I'm using its custom search.
In addition, I believe that recently Google have deprecated the use of iframe in its search results pages so for anybody that was using an earlier version of this facility it may no longer work properly and hence the solution might have to be modified. Not an expert, so not sure how much this fact will affect the final code, just a thought.
Any ideas/solutions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Is it possible to create a custom search result screen?
I need it because the users must be able to directly e-mail
the items or a selection of the items returned by the search.

How to make my tables not to threadding to a new page until its fill the page i'm working on?

After the 1st row, the 2nd row supposed to be on the bottom of the 1st page... but it's happen otherwise... it's keep threadding to a new page.. It's also happens to the 3rd row... Anybody here know how to fix this...? I already using 5 hours just to solve this prob but nothing happens... x_X

i did this in a few minutes and created a few cell styles. The way forward for you is learn about table formatting and cell styles as well as utilizing headers etc.

How to make google default search engine in address bar.

How do I make it so that when I search with my address bar it ALWAYS uses Google, regardless of what search engine is selected in the search bar? It used to be like this, but a recent Firefox update altered it. Now, when I search with my address bar it uses the search engine selected in the search bar...if I wanted to do that, I would just use the search bar! Any suggestions?

I'm also having this same problem... it's the first thing that Firefox has ever done that's made me contemplate getting a different browser. The "update" seems like a step back, and a removal of a very good feature. I'm in the same boat of wondering if there's any work-arounds or add-ons to restore the old usage, even if it comes at the risk of having my address bar's search engine occasionally hijacked.

How to move Google custom search

Hi guys,
This is frustrating me like mad, if you can help you are a life saver!
I do not know how to move the search bar around my site. It is stuck behind an image atm and looks stupid.
After messing around with code for hours I have also made an unneeded space between the search bar and the content which has misaligned my page.

You can snap a picture of the map by pressing home and power together quickly. Then, use a photo app, like PS Express, or similar, to crop just the part of the snap you want. Then, post the saved image to your web page, like you would any image.

How can I remove google custom search bar from about:newtab page

When I open Firefox or a new tab I have it set to about:newtab which is great and all. Just recently I noticed a Google search bar on the new tab page though, that it immediately sets my cursor to. I prefer typing in the normal address bar at top. If I don't think to take that extra tedious step to click on the address bar before typing it opens to Google Custom Search Engine. Which does not have the images, maps, etc tabs along top. Making a simple task of researching something or other purpose just that much more annoying to do, because I'll have to type into the address bar anyways.
So I was hoping there is a way to remove this annoying Google Custom Search Bar from my about:newtab?
Or at the least make my cursor start in the address bar, not the Google Custom Search Bar.

How to create a custom search portlet that groups results by category

Hello,
Is it possible to create a custom search portlet whose search results are displayed on a page grouped by Category? Basically the results page should have Category heading followed by search results.
I realize this is not canned functionality but any ideas on how to accomplish this using PLSQL APIs is also welcome.

one workaround i could think of is using the CM views to search for content that belongs to a category and display it in a custom way.

this only allows you to search for the meta-data available in the CM views but not the content of an item that is available when doing a search.
in the next major portal release we will have a publich search API that can be used for these type of requirements. you can execute your search and format the results in the way you want.

How do I get rid of Google Custom Search as my default search?

Every time I start FF it has Google Custom Search in the location bar search box. I have delete it multiple times, but the next time I start FF, it is back in the box. I want Bing as my primary search engine. How do I get rid of the Google Custom Search???
Also, how do I get rid of that CouponNetwork Coupon Activator? I have looked for it to delete the file, but can't find it. How do I get rid of it??

That page didn't & has not worked. I have gone through & deleted all the search engines except Bing, probably 15-20 times. When I restart FF Google Custom Search is back in the list & is displayed in the seach box, even though Bing is listed first or the only one in the management section & supposed to be the default.
On the Coupon Activator, that is what I thought also, but it is not listed on the Add/Remove program. I have even done a search on my drive for that filename, but it can't be found.
Any other ideas for both problems???

Is there a way to make Search Bar results appear in a new tab (as opposed to in the current tab)?

I'm new to Firefox, but find it a vast improvement over IE. I just find it cumbersome to have to open a new tab before I use the Search Bar...I would much prefer an option akin to "Search results appear in new tab."

This preference can be changed using about:config
(1) Type or paste '''about:config''' in the address bar and press Enter (click the button promising to be careful, and please do be careful!)
(2) In the filter box, type or paste '''search''' and pause until the preferences are filtered
(3) Double-click '''browser.search.openintab''' to change it to true. You're done, you can close about:config now.

Are you a keyboard person or a mouse person?
Using the keyboard, after typing your query, hold the Alt key while pressing Enter to open the search results in a new tab. This also works in the address bar: when you type the name of a new site, hold Alt when pressing Enter to open that site in a new tab.
Using the mouse, hold the Ctrl key while clicking the magnifying glass icon.
Is there a way to ''always'' open search results in a new tab without having to use Alt or Ctrl? Hmmm, maybe, I haven't researched that.

Google Custom Search not rendering, any ideas?

Can anyone tell me why embedded HTML code for Custom Search supplied by Google wouldn't be rendering in the Muse in-app "Preview" or when previewing in the browser? There's no trace of it. Have tried pasting code directly and as a HTML object. Help anyone?

How to make a custom TableModel for ResultSet

I am doing my University Team Project using Java and MySQL what would be the best way to implement a custom TableModel for a JTable that shows the data from the MySQL database.
I've googled it for a couple of hours but all I can really find is examples of how to add static data into the jTable.
The updating of the database through Java works fine, but I would like to show the results in a JTable.
I need help on how to implement a TableModel that uses a ResultSet to populate a JTable.
Any examples of how to make a custom TableModel or links to something that shos me how to do it would be great.

I've googled it for a couple of hours but all I can really find is examples of how to add static data into the jTable.Then you need more googling practice on picking the appropriate keywords to narrow down a search. Words like "jtable resultset" yielded many hits. Of course I'm partial to the one I suggested that was found in the Swing forum.
