How to modify the data of Context Node of type table in BSPCOMP WB

Hi,
I have context node which is of table type. Now, beofre displaying the table, I have to delete few entries from this context node.
Could you please help me out, how exactly I can handle this?
Component: BP_DATA (Enhanced)

Make use of ON_NEW_FOCUS method of the context node to achieve the same. Get the collection first and then iterate it remove the entities which are not needed and then set the rest of the collection. You can also check standard code for reference.

From Node A, get the values of the attributes as
lo_NodeA->GET_STATIC_ATTRIBUTES( IMPORTING STATIC_ATTRIBUTES = ls_attributesA ).
Similarily get all the node values from B, C, D and E.
Finally append all your ls records to the table.

How to copy the data of one node to another of the same context

      i need to copy the data of one node to the other node of the same context.
the source node is a model node ( i.e comming from <b>RFC</b> ) and the destination node is a value node which i have creted.
what i have done is.
i have read the source node using wizard

but when i am trying to get the child node it is giving me a dump saying that
<b>'Access via 'NULL' object reference not possible' </b> i understand this because when i debug my value node is becoming <b>initial</b>, and when i am trying to access the destination node using this <b>initial</b> node it will give me a dump,
but what is the work aroud for this.

               I tried replicating your behaviour in my system. This is what my context structure looks like:
Node_Test (c-> 0:n)
Name(attribute)
Node_Test2 (c-> 0:1)
     Name2(attribute)
Now when i try to access Node_Test2 then it returns me (initial) i.e. no reference and i believe the reason is that my parent node, Node_Test, is of type table( because of the cardinality) so I am expected to perform an operation on my sub node, Node_Test2, based on the node i have selected, or have specified via index .. 1 is taken by default, in Node_Test.. which in WDDOINIT is initial as i havent got access to my view yet.. so instead what you can do is bind data to your parent node, relevant data ofcourse, and then bind the recieved data to your child node i.e. Node3.
I am pasting the code here for your reference :

How to delete the data from SAP R/3 DB table from BW

Hi,
I am facing an issue... I have populated the data into custom r/3 DB table by running a user exit.I am getting the data and loading(Full Load) it in BW ODS. But my problem is when i rerun the user exit it is giving me a short dump saying "SAPSQL_ARRAY_INSERT_DUPREC". when i delete the enteries of DB table it is working fine. But this fine in development.but i production i cannot do this.So i want to delete the DB table enteries by an ABAP program and call this ABAP program using Process chain when my ODS data LOAD is successful. How to go About this.
P.S: I want only to delete the DB table enteries not the DB table.....

Sairam,
why don't you just add the code for deletion of records into that user exit, so it would first delete entries and then write new ones.
Alternatively, you could use a Process Chain to trigger an event in R/3, and by that event a scheduled job would run, deleting entries from that table.
As I don't know details of the solution you're implementing, that's all I can think of now.

How to delete the data in P,Q and S table

Hi All,
I want to delete the data in /BIO/PCOSTCENTER, /BIO/QCOSTCENTER AND /BIO/SCOSTCENTER. Since we have transported the costcenter infoobject from 3.0B to BI 7. But the 3.0B doesnot contain the ALPHA conversion. So we need to delete the infoobject and install from BI content.
When I am trying to activate the BI 7 obj, It is giving the error message the above tables are containing the data.
Pls suggest how to delete them and activate the 0COSTCENTER with BI 7 version.

Program RSDMD_DEL_BACKGROUND is the appropriate choice to delete master data. You should be able to search OSS notes on te pgm to get a little more info on it.
It insures referential integrity by checking all InfoProviders to make sure a master data value for that InfoObject does not exist in any InfoProviders. This might not be an issue in your case if you are dealing with a newly activated object that you have don't have in any Infoproviders, but is the only the best way to delete master data.

just get the nodes data into internal tables and just compare them......
node1->get_static_attributes_table(importing table = ITAB_node1)
node2->get_static_attributes_table(importing table = ITAB_node2)
now u have the data of ur 2 context nodes in 2 different internal tables ..
just compare them like
if ITAB_node1[ ] = ITAB_node2[ ].
write: / 'itab1 is equal to itab2'..
endif.
and u can use as many as comparision operators between these 2 tables to compare them....

Enter T Code KSH3-> Provide a Cost Centre Group and press enter key> Highlight the Parent node and click on WHERE USED LIST -> Select Groups in the next POP UP BOX (Default selected)-? Click the Green tick button.
Now here I have to Fetch each cost centre group availabe under the Parent Cost centre Group and validate it in my program. Please Could help me on how do I select the data under these nodes.

How to modify hierarchical data with JavaAPI?

we have a hierarchical structure for "Categories" of products. Its a simple Table of type "Hierarchy".
Now I need to add new entries to the Tree, or move existing entries to some different parents. But I can neither find a command like ModifyHierarchyTree nor is there a method to set the parent record on a HierNode instance.
How can I set the parent node of a hierarchy node with JavaAPI 2?
(Patch level is 5.5.42.65)

Hi Roger,
I think you can modify the Data Groups hierarchy directly from within the Add Objects dialog, by clicking the Edit button to open the Edit Data Groups dialog and then using the context menu as in any editable tree to add siblings and children, and to delete and rename existing nodes
You can also edit the Data Groups hierarchy by choosing Objects ® Edit Data Groups from the main menu.
Whereas other trees allow non-unique node names as long as sibling nodes do not have the same name, data group names must be unique across the entire Data Groupshierarchy.
