How to output XML from package

Hi people,
Thanks in advance for reading this post!
I am new to XML DB and I wonder if it's possible to do the following:
I want to use a package that has a procedure that will output me an xml document that I will fetch from a .NET application.
What I want is this:
I have an employee table. Each employees has a set of medical restrictions and/or task history, etc...
What I want is to output an XML that would look like this:
<EMPLOYEES>
<EMPLOYEE>
<ID>1</ID>
<FULLNAME>LUCKY EMPLOYEE</FULLNAME>
<QUALIFICATION>
<ID>0</ID>
<NAME>QUALIFICATIONNAME0</NAME>
</QUALIFICATION>
<QUALIFICATION>
<ID>1</ID>
<NAME>QUALIFICATIONNAME1</NAME>
</QUALIFICATION>
<QUALIFICATION>
<ID>2</ID>
<NAME>QUALIFICATIONNAME2</NAME>
</QUALIFICATION>
<QUALIFICATION>
<ID>3</ID>
<NAME>QUALIFICATIONNAME3</NAME>
</QUALIFICATION>
</EMPLOYEE>
<EMPLOYEES>
I'm not sure of the approach to take for this, anyone can suggests me something?
Thanks a lot!

Can you paste it in here?
It may be useful for other people in the future to have something to look at!
Thanks!

  • How to receive XML from Flex HTTP POST

    Hi,
    We curreontly have a setup where we have a FLEX frontend send an XML through a HTTP POST and awaiting a response also in XML. On the backend this is handled relatively simply by a PHP script that basically does the following:
    read data (in XML)from FlEX HTTP POST into a new temp XML file.
    execute a c++ program with the XML file as one of the parameter.
    return the result to FLEX
    We have decided to move to BlazeDS for various reasons.
    Looking at the examples bundled with BlazeDS they have a jsp example that returns an XML result to FLEX so that part is fine. I am trying to find an example of JSP (or Servlet) that is able to read the XML data from FLEX and write it into a temp XML file. I would then try to use runtime.exec to invoke a local C++ program to process the XML file the result of which will be sent back to FLEX.
    Any help will be very much appreciated!

  • How to Output Nodes from XML web service to a FLV?

    Hi
    I've used AS3 to query a web service and obtain the resulting XML.  I need to parse the result down to just a few nodes for a given location.  I can tackle that separately.  I am wondering how I output the parsed XML to a flash video file (.flx)?  The video has place holders for the XML node values.  What do I need to do to place the XML results in the video?
    Thanks,
    Sid

    Andrei1 wrote:
    What is a content of XML nodes? I am not sure what you mean by "inserting nodes". Do you mean that you want to display some information over the video?
    And yes, encoders do take XMLs to inject metadata into video. But this is metadata only.
    OSML = Open Source Media Framework:
    http://www.opensourcemediaframework.com/
    By inserting nodes, I mean that the XML web service returns data for each city, which needs to be parsed to just high temp, low temp and current condition.  Those 3 values needed to be dispalyed over, or woven into, the video at each city location.  My thought was that AS3 could somehow recognize the 3 placeholders for each city and insert the high temp, low temp and condition icon into each placeholder.  However, when I import the FLV file into Flash, there are no elements into which I can infuse this data.

  • How to generate XML from EBusiness suite ARXSGPO

    Could someone tell me how I can generate XML from the EBusiness Suite Accounts Receivable report ARXSGPO.rdf I understand this report is called by a C program. I have tried changing the concurrent request to output format to XML the result does not resemble XML. Does anyone have any suggestions how I can generate XML from the ARXSGPO report?
    Thanks,
    Mark

    Hi Mark
    the next release of XMLP will have last page only support. The problem is that at the template layer you do not know how many lines are going to fit on the page, so you never know what is going to be the last page. The only way around it for now is to specify the number of lines to a page and then check when all the lines have been rendered and then render the remit portion.
    I have a sample invoice that does the same, drop me a mail, you can work out the email from my name and the fact I work for XMLP Im sure.

  • How to use DOMParser from an Applet / Or, how to parse XML from an Applet?

    Hey,
    As stating in the subject line, I wonder how to do it without getting an Access Denied error.
    I would like to parse a XML file that has external DTD pointing to a SYSTEM location. Yes, I can change it to a public location. However, in either way, I have problems to use DOMBuilder to parse the xml file. The application always throws the security exception.
    I tried to use the DOMParser from org.apache.xerces.parsers to parse the xml file. I set the DOMParser to ignore parsing the external DTD, and use the DOMParser.parse(InputSource) to parse the xml file from a giving URL. However, I get null of the result document.
    Does anyone know how to parse the XML from an Applet? Or, does anyone know how to use the DOMParser from an Applet?
    Thank you very much,

    If the document resides on the local filesystem, you will need to sign a CAB or JAR for the applet to circumvent the sandbox's security restrictions. There are dozens of posts on how to do this. Basically, that will turn the applet into an application, from a Java security perspective.

  • How to Get XML from the PDF form generated using Designer that is stored in LC

    We have a Requirement of Generating reports on what a PDF form is comprised of? It is easy for us to scan / parse the XML format of the PDF form and get all the relavent Info we need. We are able to see the XML format of the PDF form when we open up the Form in Designer.
    But we are trying to run this report in a Batch Mode for many PDF files. I need to know how to get a XML format of the PDF file that is stored in LC that was developed using Designer. Once we are able to get the XML of the PDF form it is just a scan / parse to get the relavent data.
    Can some one tell me how to get the XML format of a PDF file stored in the LC?

    If I place the PDF form on the LC server - Can you let  me know of the tools you are referring to get XML design from the PDF form?
    Is it through a Process Orchestration I need to run the PDF through to get a XML design out of it?
    I am fine in storing the PDF in the LC server? How will I get the XML design (XML) from this PDF on the server?

  • How to call xml from java

    Hi
    I want to use xml for updating files in an existing jar . so i want to call xml from java code and then come back to java code and do the remaining work in java code, pl guide me how to do this . what APIs are helpful for this regard
    Thanks

    You can't update files in a jar. Even if you could, you wouldn't use XML for that. You don't call XML. XML is not a programming language. So, basically your entire question is misguided.

  • How to read XML from web page inside servlet/jsp ?

    i have a url, which on sending request, shows XML in browser.
    Now i need to read this XML in browser and then manipulate it according to my need and display it on another page.
    actually the process is. :
    1) i have to first retrieve an xml from other site. (XML will only be shown in browser)
    2.)then i have to read the Xml and show it in according to my requirements.
    Is there any way to read XML directly from a Web Page ??
    is their logic to accomplish this.
    e.g in Servlet i can do somewhat like this :
    String wholeXml=Somemethod(url);
    Please Advice

    Hi,
    if u wanna extract data from XML. you can use Digester(Apache-jakarta) parser. All u need to create the beans(as per the data in xml), that will be populated by Digester.
    Digester takes xml(string) as parameter and populates the bean specified.
    U can use this bean in ur JSP.
    :::Note:::; use Digester in ur servlet.

  • How to remove xmls from output?

    I have created a BPEL process that takes a flat file and converts to an XML file. I get an output of the following (see below). Is there a way that I can remove xmlns="" from the output?
    Incorrect Output
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>

    Correct Output
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>

    Regards,

    I can remember if this xsd removes namespaces correctly, I think it may still have the initial xmlns at the top but give it a try. Typically what needs to be done is some embedded java to do this.
    <schema targetNamespace="http://www.oracle.com/Gateway"
            xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">

    For that kind of work, I wouldn't recommend this class ( sorry, my other reply is to your first question ).
    This is a SIMPLE http server. You would have to emulate an application server ( like Tomcat ) yourself if you want full-blown servlet / jsp functionality. You could define a simple jsp-ish domain specific language and parse it yourself, though.
    That might be an interesting exercise, but not one that would appeal to me.
