How to pass SSO Login Ticket to an URL iView

Hello experts,
We have an application running on Netweaver and it is setup to accept SSO Login Tickets for authorisation.
I have the following question:
We want to expose some of the portlets in our application in a portal page using URL iViews, but we don't know, how to setup this environment, so for each iView, the SSO Login ticket is passed to the portlet of our application (this way access to it can be granted)?
How can we achive this? Or, is there another approach for this scenario?

Hi Megha,
The portlets are part of our application which is deployed on the same Netweaver App server as is the Portal.
When the user log in into the Portal - SSO Tiket is being issued and we want this ticket to be passed to the URL of the URL iView, but currently HTTP 401 error is returned or HTTP Basic authentication login popup is displayed. We want to be able to use the SSO Ticket for this purpose.
Regards,
Georgi

  • How to pass a single quote in a URL using Javascript

    Can someone tell me how to pass a single quote in a URL using Javascript. I have created a Javascript funciton in which I pass several column values from an APEX report.
    The URL for the report link I am using is "JAVASCRIPT:passBack('#EMP_ID#','#Name#','#e-mail#')"
    The problem occurs with the Name and e-mail columns contain a single quote (i.e. James O'Brien)

    Thank you Saad, that worked.
    Since I built the report using type 'SQL Query (PL/SQL function fody returning SQL query)' I had to add some additional quotes to get it to work.
    i.e.
    replace(EMP_EMAIL_NAME,'''''''',''\'''''')
    or
    replace(EMP_EMAIL_NAME,chr(39),''\'''''')
    Thanks for the help,

  • How to pass session variable value with GO URL to override session value

    Hi Gurus,

    How to pass session variable value with GO URL to override session value. Please provide step by step solution.No vague answers.
    I followed below steps mentioned.
    RPD:

    -> Assigned the session variable STATUS to Init block Init_Status

    Added

  • How to create sso login for webcenter application

    Hi,
    i have created a webcenter portal application with a login page.i have to create a sso login for that application .
    can anyone suggest me how to do?

    Hi.
    Do you have OAM as SSO?.
    The best way is to create a loginProxy page which proxies the user and password entered to OAM Login process (or the other SSO system).
    This post of JayJay will help you: http://jjzheng.blogspot.com/2013/10/non-programmatic-authentication-using.html

  • How to customize SSO Login URL and EBS AppsLocalLogin URL

    EBS version is 12.1.3 with SSO enabled (version 10.1.4.3)
    Original URL as follows:
    1) SSO Login : http://cmcsifsdev01.cmc.gov.my:8006
    2) EBS Local Login : http://cmcsifsdev01.cmc.gov.my:8006/OA_HTML/AppsLocalLogin.jsp
    There was a requirement from user to change the HTTP port from 8006 to 80 and use custom url. Using metalink note : How To Configure Apache In R12 (10.1.3) To Listen on a Restricted Port Such as 80 or 443 [ID 578001.1], i managed to change it as follows:
    Current URL
    1) SSO Login : http://sifsstg.skmm.gov.my
    2) EBS Local Login : http://sifsstg.skmm.gov.my/OA_HTML/AppsLocalLogin.jsp
    But there is new requirement to the current URL as follows:
    New requirement:

    2) EBS Local Login : http://sifsstg.skmm.gov.my (change from 'http://sifsstg.skmm.gov.my/OA_HTML/AppsLocalLogin.jsp' to 'http://sifsstg.skmm.gov.my')
    Is it possible to implement this new requirement? If possible, please advice me further.
    Appreciate any comments. Thank you in advance.

    How many web tiers do u have?
    For,
    1) SSO Login : http://sifsstgsso.skmm.gov.my (change from 'http://sifsstg.skmm.gov.my' to 'http://sifsstgsso.skmm.gov.my')
    You can define change the EBS HTTP server to use a Virtual Host/Reverse Proxy in front (e.g. WebCache/Apache Standalone). Do re-register this mid tier with SSO Server.
    You can follow:- Installing and Configuring Web Cache 10g and Oracle E-Business Suite 12 [ID 380486.1]
    However that same web server is servicing for AppsLocalLogin.jsp also. So i am not really sure whether u can really define another virtual host on RP side to access it with a different URL.
    (2) EBS Local Login : http://sifsstg.skmm.gov.my (change from 'http://sifsstg.skmm.gov.my/OA_HTML/AppsLocalLogin.jsp' to 'http://sifsstg.skmm.gov.my'))

  • How to pass file name as parameter into url: or fo:external-graphic src

    Hello gurus,
    In my rtf I want to dynamically get the name of the image file and display the image in the report. If use hard coded image file name it works but if I try to get the name into a variable and pass that variable it is not working.
    Basically my client is having different logos for each operating unit. in the OA_MEDIA directory there are separate logos for each OU. during run time based on OU name we need to display the corresponding image. If I can get this entire path($OA_MEDIA/logo.jpg') in XML field<?CF_OU_LOGO?> then I'm able to print the logo using url:{CF_OU_LOGO}
    But I'm using seeded data source and I cant modify the data source, I need to handle this in RTF only. I could able to get the file name into a variable but not sure how to pass to url.
    could some one help me on this. I tried the following options
    <fo:external-graphic src="url($ln)" />
    url:{$ln} in web etc...
    here 'ln' is the variable which holds '$OA_MEDIA/logo.jpg'. ln is defined as <xsl:variable name="ln" select=".//CF_OPERATING_UNIT" />
    later I set the values as <?xdoxslt:set_variable($_XDOCTX, 'ln',translate( concat('${OA_MEDIA}/','Logo',.//CF_OPERATING_UNIT,'.jpg'),' ',''))?><?xdoxslt:get_variable($_XDOCTX, 'ln')?>
    thanks,
    Vijay

    Vijay
    What version of EBS is the customer running? I read somewhere that in R12 all of the concurrent parameters are passed to the XMLP template. I have not tried this but if true. You could create a conc program parameter that would hold the location of the image. You could either have the user pick the image or maybe derive it from the other parameter choices.
    Lets assume the token name is DLOGO you can reference that in your template.
    <?param:DLOGO?>
    this needs to be at the top of the template. Then where you need to embed the image just reference the value using
    $DLOGO
    You can embed this in the external graphic field
    As I mentioned I have not tested it yet, hopefully its there, if not there are ways around it. Try it first.

  • How to pass APEX_UTIL.COUNT_CLICK parameters in the url

    Hello,
    I have to count clicks on the List items:
    There is a Click Counting option in the definition of each List item,
    and you can add Click Count Category there.
    However, I also need to add Click Id parameter - p_id.
    This parameter (p_id) suppose to pass a value into CLICK_ID column of the APEX_WORKSPACE_CLICKS view.
    I am constructing a url for that.
    The url without p_id works perfect:
    z?p_url=f?p=&APP_ID.:43:&APP_SESSION.::NO:::&p_cat=Common&p_company=&WORKSPACE_ID.&p_user=&APP_USER.But the url with p_id does not work at all:
    z?p_url=f?p=&APP_ID.:43:&APP_SESSION.::NO:::&p_cat=Common&p_id=Profile&p_company=&WORKSPACE_ID.&p_user=&APP_USER.Do you know how to pass p_id parameter in the url, so that it would be inserted in apex_workspace_clicks view?
    Thank you!

    CLICK_ID column of the APEX_WORKSPACE_CLICKS is a Number, so you have to pass a number, ex:
    &p_id=1
    So your url should look like:
    z?p_url=f?p=&APP_ID.:43:&APP_SESSION.::NO:::&p_cat=Common&p_id=1&p_company=&WORKSPACE_ID.&p_user=&APP_USER.You can use a page number to associate with a click, to be more descriptive

  • SSO to BW reports via URL iView

    Hi all,
    I've searched the forum on this but could not get a clear guide. Here's my scenario:
    1. We use Windows logon credentials to sign on to the Enterprise Portal
    2. Once signed in, authorized users load a URL iView.
    3. The iView contains URL links to SAP BW reports.
    4. Based on user's role, they can access only certain reports.(Available report URLs will be different)
    5. User clicks on the link and opens another Internet Explorer window to show the BW report <b>without signing on</b> again.
    Key question: How do we incorporate the SAP Logon Ticket into the URL and how do we configure BW server to accept SSO based on this URL?
    Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!

    Hi Kok,
    The first step is you need to create a system object under system administration --> system configuration --> system landscape. Expand the portal_content. Right click the folder and create a new folder. Then right click on the folder to create a new system. This system object should point towards the BW system. You need to give the details of the BW server. The right click the system object and create an alias.
    If you are using BW 3.5, you need to follow the 13 steps given under img. If BW version < 3.5 then you have to export the portal ticket to BW and BW ticket to EP.
    Regards
    Arun

  • How to pass a form value  as a url parameter??

    I have following form and I want to pass the selected value of the drop down choice in as one of the parameter in the URL. How can I do that ??
    something like proposalid that I have done in the url, I want to pass the selected value of the variable doc_id, when I click the Link button
    <form name = "link" method="POST" enctype="multipart/form-data" action="<%= request.getScheme() %>://<%= request.getServerName() %>/webAppCore/common/add_doc.jsp">
    <table>
         <tr> <td class="tableContent"> Doc Identifier: </td>
    <td class="tableContent"> <SELECT name="doc_id">
    <%
         Vector v = iddata.getDocumentIdList(tabName);
         //out.println(v);
         if (v != null && v.size() > 0) {
              for (int i = 0; i < v.size(); i++) {
              Hashtable hash = (Hashtable) v.elementAt(i);
    %>
    <OPTION selected name="id " value="<%=(String)hash.get("DOCUMENT_ID")%>"> <%=(String)hash.get("DOCUMENT_NAME")%></OPTION>
    <% } } else {%>
         <OPTION selected name="id " value="test"> No DocIDs</OPTION>
    <%}%>
    <tr> <td colspan = "2">
         <table border="1" width="200">
              <tr> <td> <input type="text" name="link_file" size="30" value=""/></td><td> <INPUT TYPE=button VALUE="Link..." onClick="window.open('<%= request.getScheme() %>://<%= request.getServerName() %>/webAppCore/common/link.jsp?proposalid=<%=proposalID>','mywindow','toolbar=no,location=no,directories=yes,status=yes,menubar=no,scrollbars=yes,resizable=yes,width=400,height=300,left=20,top=20');"></td> </tr>
              <tr> <td colspan = "2">
                   To Create Links: <br>
                   * Select Doc Identifier
                   * Click on Link...to select file within eFile. <br>
                   * Click Add to create the Link <br>
              </td> </tr>
         </table>
         </tr>

    if - in your form declaration - you change your method to GET from POST, it will append the form data onto the URL string instead of putting it in the request header. For instance, if you have a form with an input called THE_INPUT, and you submit to a servlet (or script of some kind or whatever) when the value of that text box is "foo", the URL will be:
    http://www.yourdomain.com/yourservlet?THE_INPUT=foo
    But, if you use the POST method, the URL will just be:
    http://www.yourdomain.com/yourservlet
    Is that what you meant?

  • How to pass the "path" dynamically to KM navigation iView ?

    HI Experts.
    This is my issue:
    I have a WD Java iView, with a data table.
    In the same page, I have a KM navigation iview too.
    Conceptually, each row in this table, have some documents in a CM Repository asociated.
    This repository has subfolders for each master data in the table.
    (example: imagine a table with material master data, and a repository with a subfolder for each material,
    and inside of it, several unstructure documents about this material.
    Then, I need to call a KM Navigation iview when click a table row, passing parameters, in special the "path".
    I am using this code in my action (triggered from webdynpro iview)
         WDPortalNavigation.navigateAbsolute("ROLES://portal_content/com.stk.demos.folders.zz_demos/com.stk.demo.ch.TEST_CH/com.stk.demo.ch.Listar_Docs",
         WDPortalNavigationMode.SHOW_EXTERNAL, (String)null, (String)null,
         WDPortalNavigationHistoryMode.ALLOW_DUPLICATIONS, "test",
         (String)null, (String)null );
    Partially it works, the window open and show the navigation iview, but...
    in the root directory (or directory indicated in iView harcoded properties);
    But I need pass the path !
    How can I call that iView, dinamically using a parameter, the path (property ID: path)
    to the KM navigation iView, in order to open initially in a indicated path?)
    I have read this link
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/c3/235a428a1e9041e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm
    but, I still can't understand how to use this parameters.
    Thanks in Advance.
    Leandro.

    Hi Leandro,
    You can create your own proxy IView and then redirect it to KM Navigation IView.
    This way you can dynamically change the path.
    Check this to know about proxy IView:

  • In PHP how to pass a recordset value through a url

    I have a blog set up with PHP/MySQL with two tables (1 table
    for blog entry and 1 table for comments on the blog)
    I can display the blog and the comment with a LEFT JOIN
    recordset like this---
    SELECT golf_blog.blog_ID, DATE_FORMAT(
    golf_blog.blog_created, '%b %e, %Y') AS blog_created,
    golf_blog.blog_author, golf_blog.blog_subject,
    golf_blog.blog_article, blog_comments.comment_article
    FROM golf_blog LEFT JOIN blog_comments USING (blog_ID)
    ORDER BY golf_blog.blog_created ASC
    I have a link in the repeat region of this recordset going to
    a page with the comment insert form.
    blog_ID is the primary key in the blog table and blog_ID is
    the index in the comment table.
    How do you pass the blog_ID from the recordset to a text
    field in the comment insert form through the link?
    Or am i even thinking about this in the right way?

    I figured it out and got it to work by passing the blog_ID as
    a variable on the URL link to the comment insert form page
    the link is like this
    <a href="golfblog_comment.php?$blog_ID=<?php echo
    $row_rs_golfblog['blog_ID']; ?>" >Comment</a>
    and on the comment page used this code
    <?php $blog_ID = '$blog_ID' ;
    $blog_ID = $_GET[$blog_ID]?>
    and the value of the insert field is this
    <?php echo $blog_ID; ?>
    I guess reading David Powers is starting to pay off.
    Eureka!
