How to pass variable value into module pool scren from a report program

Hi,
I have created a report program with selection screen parameters. when the inputs are filled and executed it generates the purchase evaluation sequence number. i have created a screen and passed that number to display on it with print option and back option buttons as required. but variable alone is not getting passed from the program to module pool screen. buttons are working fine. value alone is not coming. can anyone please help me.

you need to declare that variable param at Global.
sample code...
report xyz....
data: g_no type ekko-ebeln.
start-of-selection...
g_no = '12345'.
call screen 0100.

This works if you use a normal table so I guess it should work here too.
Are you sure the el #{row.CdFilePath} return something?
Why don't you use the adf image tag <af:image source="/ShowImage?src=#{row.CdFilePath}".../> instead of the html img tag?
Should the src property not be enclosed with " instead of your '?

You might like to provide a few more details of which field and transaction you are trying to interact with... typical solutions involve user exits / BAdIs / Enhancements, or transaction variants, or building a BDC to part fill the screens of the Tcode you are calling.

like &itab-bukrs& & itab-lifnr&, & itab-budat&..you open any window and press change editor there you write fields like this.
first you create table type.in that you put all the fields which you want .then in form* interface* you put this table type name .

How to pass a Variable value into an ODI Scenario from ODI Package

I have created an Interface that uses the variable #ENTITY_ID for retrieving entity data from the DWH; now I have generated a Scenario from the interface and placed the Scenario in an ODI Package; am not sure how to pass the #ENTITY_ID variable to the ODI Scenario?
Any help is greately appreciated.

Hi Sutrtha,
Yeah I got the pop up asking to select the variables used, I have selected ENTITY_ID that was used by the interfaces, but on execution of the package the Scenario did not work as the passeed variable #ENTITY_ID is set to 0 instead of the value I am passing.
Am I missing something?

How to put Variable value into Labeltext of a subcomponent WIB

In our Web Based Planning tool we uses Tabstrib_control component and the Label-Text is filled like 'Plan 2008'. (Our BPS = 3.5 and Web interface builder)
I am looking for a way,how to put a variable into the Label field of the component. I am not sure if there is a possibility to enhance the labelfield with variable values.

Hello Christian,
Maybe I have a solution for your problem.
1. Create subcomponent "Selector variable" with your variable.
2. Hide this new subcomponent
3. Write in the Label-Text: <%=descr("Name of new subcomponent"/value)%>
If the variable will be selected by the user in the web interface, put the name of this selector in the field "Update upon Change of" in the properties of the new created subcomponent.

How to pass multiple values while invoking bpel process from ADF?

I want to call a bpel process from my ADF application. The bpel process is having one input parameter. I have created webservice data control by using WSDL url.
Lets say, I have an Emp multi select table. I drag and drop the data control into Emp table selection facet to create an "Invoke" button.
I am able to pass single value (lets say Empid) to the bpel process after clicking the "Invoke" button.
But, my requirement is to pass all the selected values ( as its a multi select table) to the bpel process after clicking the "Invoke" button once.
How can I achieve this?

if the BPEL method that you access allows you to pass arrays or lists, then you can get a list of selectedRowKeys from the table, which then you use to get the value from the underlying binding or the table. This however requires some Java coding instead of directly invoking the executable on the binding layer
- you create the BPEL method in the binding layer
- from a Java managed bean you call ADFBindingContext --> get current instance and access Binding container
- OperationBinding oper = (OperationBinding ) bindings.get("method to invoke");
oper.gerParamsMap().put("the BPel argument name", value);
oper.execute();
- To access the table selected rows

Hi Niel,
are those variables A and B used for the same characteristics?
If not, maybe you could try to put variable A also to the 2nd query as dummy variable, that would not affect the query... Then in WAD you would see that just once and then you should be able see the variable A in the step 2 in user exit.....
But I guess, that has already struck you.....

I am passing a value of 130 odd characters(say) from subroutine to script through ITCSY structure (VALUE- 255 characters), however, while debugging the script I find that the whole length is not getting passed into the script.
Is this a limitation, or is there any solution to this?

How to pass the value of an Excel cell to XL Reporter

I'm posting this here because no one could help at yahoo's XLR group.
My problem is I need to passa the value of an Excel cell to ixGetData.
Searching I found there where 3 possible ways,
1)      =ixGetData("manager"; "RLH6J"; "[Pelissari].[dbo].[RelContas_a_Receber]"; " CardCode, CardName"; " CardCode ="&B6)
2)      =ixGetData("manager"; "RLH6J"; "[Pelissari].[dbo].[RelContas_a_Receber]"; " CardCode, CardName "; " CardCode =Cell("Contents", B6))
3)      =ixGetData("manager"; "RLH6J"; "[Pelissari].[dbo].[RelContas_a_Receber]"; " CardCode, CardName "; " CardCode = Cell(B6))
The problem is none of them are working!
Can anyone help me, please?

I'm sorry, I dont have the perfect solution.
I ceated a UDT [@Params] or UDF where the user has to insert the values for XL Reports (for exampel CardCode). After the User inserted the value he can start the XL-Report which are reading from this UDT or UDF the value into the GetData function. You must only insert a query into the condition of GetData :
=ixGetData("manager"; "RLH6J"; "Pelissari.dbo.RelContas_a_Receber"; " CardCode, CardName"; " CardCode = (SELECT Name FROM [@Params] WHERE ID='XL-CardCode')")
If you will find some other possibilty please let me know.

I m using transaction CU01. i have to get the dependency name from the program and displayed in CU01 first screen, after tht i have to create a dependency.

I want to know if there is a possibility to pass a dynamic value in a sql query. For example I have a currency rate value (ex: rate = 1.319, 2.23 etc) which user wants to input when running the query (The rate is not taken from the system, so I cannot compare to any table column and pass it as a parameter).
And this rate has to be used in my query to do some calculation. Is this possible? The value :p_currency_rate doesn't work

What is the prolem you are facing if you split the single date param as two parameters say startdate and enddate?
If you pass as single string then you might have to split the same at reciever end.
Are you trying any thing specific?
