How to pause while printing long long stuff

I'm using System.out.println printing several screen of data. How to pause in between, and resume displaying while user presses ENTER ?
thx for reply ^_^

Study this program. It is not the better solution for your problem but could work.
import java.io.IOException;
public class Test {
    public static void waitForEnter() {
         try {
             int ch;
         while ((ch = System.in.read()) != -1 && ch != '\r') {
     } catch (IOException ex) {
    public static void main(String[] args) {
         for (int i = 0; i < 100; ++i) {
             System.out.println (i);
             if (i % 16 == 15) {
                  System.out.print("More>");
                  waitForEnter();

    How to pause when video recording on iPhone 6?

    Hello sbonasoro,
    Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
    I understand that you would like to pause video while recording on your iPhone. You cannot pause a video recording and pick it back up where you left off, but you can stop the video and start a new one when you would like to continue filming. Please refer to the attached iPhone iOS 8 User Guide for further information (page 94).
    Shoot some video. Choose Video, then tap the Record Video button or press either volume button to start and stop recording. Video records at 30 fps (frames per second). With iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus, you can switch it to 60 fps in Settings > Photos & Camera.
    Snap a still while recording: (iPhone 5 or later) Tap the white Take Picture button in the lower-left corner.
    Have a great day,

  • How to Print Long Text

    Hi All
    I want to print long text of WCD (work clearance document) in smart form (Field name is LTXT). How do i do. I don't know different parameters for function module 'READ_TEXT'. Any suggestion.
    Thanx and Regards,
    Rajesh Vasudeva

    Hi,
    Go to the text in the Standard Document and then double Cliick on it. Then Click on the Lens below(Detail). In the new screen, Naviagate Goto---->Header. It will give you the relevant details like Text object, Text ID etc which can be used in the read text FM. Usally the text name is the Document Number and the Text ID  and Text Object is Constant for that particular Document type.
    Hope this helps

  • TS3899 Battery powered off while composing long important email how to not loose it when battery is charged.

    My iPhone battery accidentally powered off while composing long important email. I've had this happen before and the emAil is gone disappeared, not in drafts etc..is there a way to make sure this doesn't happen when I unplug from charger and try to finish it or will I have to start over?

    You can turn it on while connected to the power source. It may have saved your draft; but if not it is gone. Normally most apps will save work in progress. Were you using the mail app, the gmail app, or the Safari browser? If it was gmail and you were using Safari the gmail.com site will save drafts periodically.

  • Reader XI can't print long PDFs

    I have some long PDFs, over 3000 pages, and Reader can't print more than 86 pages per job. While it tries, the job is apparently invalid and the printer (and HP LaserJet 4015 using a PostScript driver) stops printing and the job then terminates without any error message on either the printer or PC. I've tried several files and all fail. Reader 10 could print thest just fine as can my Mac using non-Adobe software.

    We are not aware of any general issue with Reader XI (as opposed to Reader X) in terms of ability to print “long” PDF files. I have routinely printed many very long (i.e., thousands of very graphically-complex pages) to printers with Adobe PostScript without any issues whatsoever from Acrobat XI (same print subsystem as Reader XI).
    There are a few potential issues here.
    I assume that you are actually referring to a Hewlett-Packard LaserJet p4015, a monochrome printer from 2008, no discontinued. As far as I can tell there is no LaserJet 4015. Such printers emulate PostScript; they do not have Adobe PostScript and have been known to be somewhat dodgy in terms of the quality of such emulation.
    Although there were relatively few changes in the PostScript generation between the X and XI versions of Reader and Acrobat, there could have been some simple change that triggers a problem with the PostScript interpretation of this particular model printer.
    You should make sure that you have the latest firmware for the printer. Hewlett-Packard often fixes bugs in their PostScript emulation via firmware updates. Go to <http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SupportTaskIndex.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&taskId =130&prodSeriesId=3558793&prodTypeId=18972&supportTaskId=42593> and if necessary, download and install the latest printer firmware.
    You should also set the front panel options and/or the PostScript driver options to Send the PostScript Error Handler with the jobs. If a PostScript error occurs, a page should print out with the error name and diagnostic information. That could help us determine the issue.
    One series of problems we have often seen with Hewlett-Packard emulations of PostScript is associated with fonts, especially when large numbers of subset fonts appear in a job, possibly due to the PDF files in question having been assembled from many smaller PDF files. Although your printer, according to specifications, should have a significant amount of memory (128MB), conceivably a series of font subsets are overwhelming the printer. The Advanced option in the print dialog typically provides options for how the fonts are sent to the print including Send by Range (the default), Send at Start, and Send for Each Page. You may wish to change whatever your current setting is for this (especially try Send for Each Page) and see if that resolves the problem.
    Please advise as to whether any of the above resolves the problem or at least provides more information that we can use to further diagnose what is going on.

  • How can I grant users the ability to pause/resume printing without a "print operators group" password.

    Greetings,
    We are running 10.8.5 on 30 machines in an active directory environment (graphics lab). The clients are experiencing a persistant error when pausing or resuming print jobs. Each time something is paused, it requires an administrator password to resume the job. Administrators are not always present so designers are locked out of all of the printers until we come in (or remote in) to authenticate.
    I spoke with Apple today and they said they would not support active directory accounts and that the account must be edited by the department that created the account because the restrictions come from the Active Directory account preferences.
    On the other hand, I ALSO read that I can edit this in the CUPS interface or modify it with the terminal command below, locally.
    dseditgroup -o edit -u admin_name -p -a user_name -t user _lpadmin
    "dseditgroup" adds the user_name to a group (in this case, _lpadmin).
    And admin_name is the name of your administrator's account.
    a) Must this be modified on the Active directory account or CAN I modify this on the local machine via CUPS or terminal?
    b) If so, how would I grant users the ability to resume printing without an admin password?
    c) If not, exactly what must be modified in the active Directory account to allow pause/resume without an admin password.
    I have seen a terminal command that adds users to the print operatiors group (Ipadmin) and I have seen some info on editing the CUPS interface, If i must edit the CUPS interface to allow this, can anyone point to detailed instructions on how to make this change.
    I also saw info on editing the CUPS interface but the suggestion lacked details as to how and how to return to default if it does not work.
    I also saw a post with these suggestions below but without detail as to how one would carry this out.
    /etc/cups/cupsd.conf
    # All administration operations require an administrator to authenticate...

    *#Require user @AUTHKEY(system.print.operator) @admin @lpadmin*
    *Require valid-user*

    Hello again.  For AD environments you can run the following command on each workstation:
    sudo dseditgroup -o edit -n /Local/Default -u localadmin -p -a "Domain Users" -t group _lpadmin
    This command assumes you are typing this interactively on the machine.  Obviously change localadmin to the Mac's local admin's name.  When running you will be prompted for password twice.  Once to elevate permissions (sudo) and once to validate you are localadmin.
    If you are using Apple Remote Desktop (or JAMF or other management suite), you can push this command out while embedding the localadmin's password.
    sudo dseditgroup -o edit -n /Local/Default -u localadmin -P yourpass -a "Domain Users" -t group _lpadmin
    Please note, if your password uses special characters (/-\) this may fail over ARD.
    In Mavericks, AD groups are cached once they are referenced.  If you are dealing with a lot mobile users (laptops) you might want to replace Domain Users with everyone

  • How to get laserjet to pause between print jobs

    I just reinstalled my OS (Win7) over the weekend, and the laserjet P1102w is working fine, but it is doing one thing differently than before. For as long as I can remember (even going back to an earlier laserjet 1018), I could send 2-3 print jobs to the printer. When the first was done,  the printer would pause for a few seconds, and only then, start pushing out the pages of the second print job (I'd use that pause to alert me to go to the printer and scoop up all the pages of that first job).
    Now, it isn't doing that.
    Is there a setting to check? Honestly I'm not sure what to look for, but I didn't see anything in Windows' printer preferences.

    Hi paulri,
    Sorry that I had misread your post. The pausing between print jobs, was most likely a function of a communication lag between the printer and the computer, and not a feature of the printer or the software. This option is not available with the Operating Systems print spooler.
    As a workaround, I would just print one document at a time, and wait for it to finish printing, before printing the next document.
    For future reference, just in case you may need it, here is your printer's user guide.
    Thank you for posting, and have a nice day!

  • Pause is too long during dialing

    For automated dialing through systems i have used the pause key and stored the numbers.
    The problem is that the pause key pauses for 'too long' and I miss the opportunity in they system to move on.
    How can I reduce the duration of this pause function during dial mode?
    Thanks for advise.

    You cannot. The pause is fixed at 2 seconds. The duration can be increased by adding multiple pauses, but not decreased.

    Hi,
    To confirm can you check commeting "getOADBTransaction().commit();" gives any error message?
    If yes then you can try the following option:
    Have you checked whether the "/" is changed to "\" in the dbc file?
    In the following two entries the slash has to be made as shown below:

  • How to download and upload long text for project, WBS , Network,

    Hi all,
    I have two isssues.
    1) I am extracting Projects, WBS , Network , Network activity and network activity element from a SAP 4.7 system using bapi's
    BAPI_PROJECTDEF_GETDETAIL
    BAPI_PROJECT_GETINFO
    BAPI_NETWORK_GETINFO
    BAPI_BUS2054_GETDATA
    I am able to get all the details except long text. I want to know how do i extract the long text other than getting it manually by using select_text and Read_text Function module, is there any bapi to achieve this.
    The reason why i am not using Function modules Read_text and Write_text is, object name( TDNAME ) value stored in STXH table for project, wbs and network are the project, wbs and network itself so i dont have any issues with this but the TDname value for activity and activity element are completely different ( Routing number and counter is stored respectively ) which i am not getting as the part of the bapi(BAPI_NETWORK_GETINFO) output.
    2)  I have to upload the extracted Project and it sub object data to ECC 6.0 system , i am able to achieve this by using BAPI's BAPI_PROJECTDET_CREATE, BAPI_PROJECT_MAINTAIN and BAPI_NETWORK_MAINTAIN. I am not able to load the longtext for the same, is there any way to load the long text .
    All help will be greatly appreciated and rewarded.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Rajanidhi Rajasekeran.

    I don't think there is any BAPI to do it.
    We are doing it by read_text & edit_text . required fields for text name can be fetched by following select
      if not e_activity[] is initial.
        select aaufnr aaufpl baplzl bobjnr b~vornr
          into corresponding fields of table t_longtext
          from afko
            as a
        left join afvc
            as b
            on aaufpl = baufpl
           for all entries in  e_activity
           where a~aufnr = e_activity-network
           and a~aufnr is not null.
      endif.
          txtname = wa_longtext-objnr.
          replace c_nv in txtname with sy-mandt.
