How to prevent creation of view object rows when using browser refresh butt

HI i have the following problem:
I have a creation form using a partial submition. The problem is that if i have entered some value by using autosubmit , this value will be setted as attribute in the ViewObject . After that if i click refresh button of the browser then the new Row of the view object will be created and i will have a pending row with setted attribute. So if execute commit then the both rows will be tried to commit. How can i prevent this?
Krasi

Hi,
If i've understood you have a invokeAction that create a new row, right? If yes put on condition that it invokeAction won't invoke if is a postback.
Let me know if i miss understand your doubt.

  • How to prevent large blank spaces on webpage when using Slide Behaviors?

    I searched the forums for similar problems with applying the Slide Behaviour to elements through the DW CS5 interface and found a useful post titled "Problem with Applying Spry "Slide Effect" so now my slide effects works the way I want, except instead of sliding out a caption after clicking on an image, I slide out a list of text items when clicking on a section of text.  This works, but there is a large gap when the webpage first loads. How can I remove/prevent this large white space from appearing?

  • How to prevent the insertion of rollover code when using a template

    Hi there
    I am designing a site in Dreamweaver using templates. These templates use rollover images. The code that DW uses for the rollover I have abstracted out into a separate javascript file, which is linked to in the header. Further, I am using window.onload() to call the preloader instead of the <body> onload event. All this works fine.
    The problem is that every time I make a change to the template, DW re-inserts the rollover code into the head of the HTML file, and reinserts the preloader code into the <body> tag.
    Now, I have found a solution to the <body> tag problem by changing the preload flag from 1 to 0 in the link created; it seems that DW uses this flag as in indication of whether to insert the onload code into the boday tag.  So that part is fixed.
    But I can't find any way to keep DW from inserting the unecessary and redundant rollover code into the head of the generated HTML files.  Is there a way I can prevent this from happening?

    Just don't externalize your js until the very last step before publishing.
    You can let the dev team know about this here -

  • Open previously viewed Tabbed Panel when using browser back button

    I have a page containing SPRY tabbed panels, and was wondering if there was a way that if a user navigates back to this page using the browser back button, the last panel viewed could remain open. Using hash tags in the URL works for Mozilla but not for IE8. Here is the sample page: http://www.davidkneale.com/wcusa/expedition_leader.html
    Does anyone know how I can get this to work in IE8?

    Perhaps you missed the announcement that Adobe is no longer investing in the development of Spry. See: http://blogs.adobe.com/dreamweaver/2012/08/update-on-adobe-spry-framework-availability.htm l.
    There used to be a dedicated Spry forum, but it has been changed to read-only.
    Spry isn't exactly dead, but nor is it in the best of health. Add to that the fact that IE 8 doesn't support the HTML5 history management API, and the lack of replies isn't really surprising.

  • How to reset View Object row state to Unmodified

    Hi,
    My requirement is as follows. In my home page, I have a table listing master records with links to a master detail page. In this master detail page, the master is displayed in a form, and details in an editable table. There is also a button that is used to "Add 5 New Detail Rows". User will use this button to add multiple new detail records for insertion.
    Anyway, when user visits this master detail page, I should also programmatically add 5 new detail rows. For this, I define a custom method in the master view object class (called add5MoreRows()...see below), define the binding to this custom method and add invokeAction executable in the page definition.
    public void add5MoreRows() {
    DlistHdrVORowImpl row = (DlistHdrVORowImpl) getCurrentRow();
    createMoreLineDetailRows(row, 5);
    // Need to reset the master row state to Unmodified
    public void createMoreLineDetailRows(DlistHdrVORowImpl row, int howMany) {
    RowSet detailRowSet = (RowSet) row.getDlistLnVO();
    for (int i=0;i<howMany;i++) {
    Row detailRow = detailRowSet.createRow();
    detailRowSet.insertRow(detailRow);
    detailRow.setNewRowState(Row.STATUS_INITIALIZED);
    The problem here is when I add these detail records, ADF sets the master record to "dirty". My question is how do we reset the state of the master view object row to "Unmodified".

    Frank,
    That's my first thought. But I cannot find STATUS_UNMODIFIED in View Object. I understand the status can be set in Entity Object. How do we get ahold of Entity Object from View Object?
    Thanks.

  • View object Rows

    Hi,
    I am extending an OAF page. In which I am trying to get access to all the rows of a view object. This view object is used in an advance table. The advance table shows me 15 rows. 10 rows at a time(Advance table functionality).
    Now when I write this code, it return me 15 as a result.
    String.valueOf(vo.getRowCount()But when I try to run this code to iterate to each and every row, it just returns me 10 rows.
    AwardLineVOImpl vo = (AwardLineVOImpl)am.findViewObject("AwardLineVO");
    AwardLineVORow vorow = (AwardLineVORow)vo.getCurrentRow();
         while(vo.hasNext()){
            vorow = (AwardLineVORow)vo.next();
            oapagecontext.putDialogMessage(new OAException(vorow.getBidNumber()));
         }I want to know how can I get access to all the rows in the view object. As I can see the advance table shows 10 rows at a time. And when you click next, the next 10 rows are shown.
    Regards,
    B

    The "row state" is only meant for entity object rows, not for view object rows.
    For further details and a possible solution, please check How to identify inserted/modified row(s) in a VO
    (Not related) Mr. "73012", I noticed you posted lots of answers on this forum lately. Nice of you that you want to help, but much too often (IMHO) you are not explicit enough to provide a useful solution. Or, sometimes, not quite attentive to the question...
    If you are an Oracle employee, please take a bit more time to read the question; and maybe make your name public... If not, the same ;)

  • How to reset a particular view object alone to it's initial state??

    Hi,
    My application contains view objects with custom data source implementation. One of my requirement is to reset the particular view object alone to it's initial state. I can't use rollback since it is at Db Transaction level. I searched in forums and finally written the following coding to achieve it. It works fine during sometime but sometimes i am getting the exception oracle.jbo.DeadEntityAccessException: JBO-27101: Attempt to access dead entity in Person, key=oracle.jbo.Key[1 -10 ]
        public void resetPersonViewObject(String voName) {
            Iterator dirtyItr = this.getEntityDef(0).getAllEntityInstancesIterator(this.getDBTransaction());
            while (dirtyItr.hasNext()) {
                Object obj = dirtyItr.next();
                if (obj instanceof EntityImpl) {
                    EntityImpl entity = (EntityImpl)obj;
                    String state = null;
                    byte entityState = entity.getEntityState();
                    switch (entityState) {
                    case Entity.STATUS_INITIALIZED:
                        state = "Initialized";
                        // Don't do anything
                        break;
                    case Entity.STATUS_UNMODIFIED:
                        state = "Un-Modified";
                        // Don't do anything
                    case Entity.STATUS_DEAD:
                        state = "Dead";
                        // Don't do anything
                        break;
                    case Entity.STATUS_DELETED:
                        state = "Deleted";
                        entity.revert();
                        // entity.refresh(Entity.REFRESH_CONTAINEES);
                        break;
                    case Entity.STATUS_MODIFIED:
                        state = "Modified";
                        entity.refresh(Entity.REFRESH_UNDO_CHANGES);
                        break;
                    case Entity.STATUS_NEW:
                        state = "New";
                        entity.refresh(Entity.REFRESH_FORGET_NEW_ROWS);
                        entity.refresh(Entity.REFRESH_REMOVE_NEW_ROWS);
                        break;
                    System.err.println("State : " + state);
            getDBTransaction().clearEntityCache(getEntityDef(0).getFullName());
            getViewObject().clearCache();
    }Questions:
    1. How to achieve my requirement? Is there any code correction required?
    2. How to reset the row which is actually deleted by the user?
    3. The sample code shown above is applicable for all the view object instances which are created from the same entity? What should i do if i want to reset a particular instance of a view object (I may use different instance of same view object at various screens whereas i want to reset only one)
    Can anyone help on this??
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    As per my requirement, i use various instances of same view object in various dynamic tabs only. Since each tab has its own transaction, refreshing an EO of a particular transaction will refresh only the VO instances which comes under that transaction. So it will not cause any issue for my requirement i hope.
    Requirement: Need to reset a particular entity driven view object instances.
    Tried Schema: Departments table of HR Schema. Tried using the Application Module tester.
    Code i use:
        // Client Interface method of DepartmentsViewImpl
        public void resetView() {
            Iterator dirtyItr =
                this.getEntityDef(0).getAllEntityInstancesIterator(this.getDBTransaction());
            while (dirtyItr.hasNext()) {
                Object obj = dirtyItr.next();
                if (obj instanceof EntityImpl) {
                    EntityImpl entity = (EntityImpl)obj;
                    byte entityState = entity.getEntityState();
                    switch (entityState) {
                    case Entity.STATUS_UNMODIFIED:
                        break;
                    case Entity.STATUS_INITIALIZED:
                        break;
                    case Entity.STATUS_DEAD:
                        break;
                    case Entity.STATUS_DELETED:
                        entity.refresh(Entity.REFRESH_WITH_DB_FORGET_CHANGES);
                        break;
                    case Entity.STATUS_MODIFIED:
                        entity.refresh(Entity.REFRESH_UNDO_CHANGES);
                        break;
                    case Entity.STATUS_NEW:
                        entity.refresh(Entity.REFRESH_FORGET_NEW_ROWS);
                        entity.refresh(Entity.REFRESH_REMOVE_NEW_ROWS);
                        break;
            getDBTransaction().clearEntityCache(getEntityDef(0).getFullName());
            getViewObject().clearCache();
    Issue i have:
    1. Add a blank row (Soon transaction has become dirty). Call the resetView() client interface. It gives me JBO-25303: Cannot clear entity cache model.eo.Departments because it has modified rows
    2. Modify any row and then delete the same row. Call the resetView(). It gives me JBO-27101: Attempt to access dead entity in Departments, key=oracle.jbo.Key[10 ]
    [NOTE:  Above code works fine when for simple deletion of rows, modification of existing rows, new rows]

  • View object reexecutes when any event is fired on a page

    Hi All,
    I have following requirement
    Create a page which containts a table.
    Table has 2 fields one is Employee number LOV and second is emp name field which is read only.
    One view object is associated with this table.
    This view object has two transient attributes one is EmpId which is of type number and second is name which is of type string.
    View object does not have any query.
    when you enter any no in lov field,it goes to lov region and populates the respective emplyee details in the LOV region, when user selects any employee,it comes back to main page and shows Employee no and emp name in first row of a table.
    I have allowed the user to enter as many rows as he wants into the table.
    for that i have created Add another row button using footer property of table.
    but the problem is When i click Add another row button,row is added it to table but emp name which i have selected from LOV had lost.
    i know the reason is when i click Add another row button VO executes query again and my value has lost.
    i want to know that is there any way to prevent reexecution of view object query?

    Input Data

    <ROWSET>
    So each row values has to inserted into resp fields in the table.

    Do you have a similar structure in your stored procedure ?
    In that case you can simply call the procedure from soa using db adapter and do a mapping to assign the values.

  • Problem creating a new row when using tabbed regions

    I am new to JHeadstart and ADF and have been using the evaluation version of JHeadstart (in JDev 11.1.1.3) to judge its efficacy for a new significantly-sized application. As part of that evaluation I have created a small application (you can do this with HR schema using say the Departments table) with a single entity and VO. On JHeadstart I have then placed some of the fields into multiple Item regions within a Tabbed region on the same page and below the Group (layout style Table, Table Overflow Style below With Splitter). Existing rows display fine and I can view the data on the separate tabs.
    However, if I try to create a row, I can fill in the data on the main region, but if I fill in data on the first tabbed region I cannot switch to the next tab without an error being generated.
    e.g. using Departments - fill in DepartmentId and DepartmentName on main region, fill in ManagerId on first tabbed region and try to switch to second tabbed region to fill in LocationId:

    Attribute DepartmentId in HRModule.DepartmentsView1 is required.
    Attribute DepartmentName in HRModule.DepartmentsView1 is required.
    If you save, then you can navigate.
    You can also demonstrate something similar (different error message but probably the same root cause) on the myJHSTutorial demo. If you navigate to an employee off the regions page and try and create a new employee (using the '+' button below the 'Employees' label), then the tabs are not refreshed and any attempt to change the tabs results in an error
    Failed to validate a row with key oracle.jbo.Key[999 ] in HRModule.EmployeesView3
    Attribute Salary in HRModule.EmployeesView3 is required.
    Salary must be between 6000 and 12000 for this job.
    The JHS devguide does not help. Any thoughts? I can send the HR sample if you wish.

    OK, I was able to reproduce this. The problem is that when you switch tabs, a partial page request is send to the server which does not include the items filled in the table row itself, hence these items are not updated in the underlying view object row.
    Solution is to have a partial trigger at the table or group level listening to tab events. We will add that to the next release, but you can also apply the fix yourself by adding the following lines to the stackedRegionContainer.vm template:
    #if (${JHS.current.pageComponent.tableLayout} && !(${JHS.current.pageComponent.hasOverflowInline}))
    ## when creating a new row in a table, and using overflow right/below, when switching overflow tabs
    ## the items filled in the table itself must also be processed as part of JSF model update phase, to
    ## prevent required item error when clicking another tab in overflow area
    ## we can enforce this by making the whole group listen to tab events
    #ADD_CUR_GROUP_PARTIAL_TRIGGER("#REGION_ID()Tabs")
    #end
    Add these lines just before the line starting with
    <af:${elemName}
