How to put a Group property in a Curve Related Text label with Curve Expansion

Hi
I am working on a Graph which Plots a WaveFormChannel named "Test". Since I have activated the curve expansion, the graph shows all the Channels named "Test" within the DataPortal. Now I want to put the value of the group property "MyGroupProperty" in the legend, so every time I add a new group, automaticaly add the new signal "Test" and show "MyGroupProperty" in the legend.
So far I tried to use the curve related text in the label option, with something like this
@GroupPropGet(GroupNumber,"MyGroupProperty")@, but I have to give the value of GroupNumber, and then it shows the same value for all the signals. So If I add a new group to the dataportal with a channel Test, The legend will show the label of the new signal but, the MyGroupProperty remains as the same for all the labels

Hi dslemusp,
You can use the global variable "CGI" in a DIAdem expression to supply the Current Group Index of the curve being plotted (even in expansion mode). I prepared an example for you that shows this and attached it below.

How to put a video within a video (not related to opacity!)

Hi everyone!
I ve been all over the internet for an answer but cant find one! This is getting really fustrating. This is my first serious editing project and I want it to be perfect
So what I wanna do is make a transition from one clip to another by putting the next clip within the first one.
For example, I am filming a window and i want to have another video inside the window. So when I fully zoom on the window, I will move onto the second video.
So perhaps what i need to do is select a section of the video and replace it with another. But how can i do it?
Hope you guys understand what I mean? If you need clarification, please ask!

My project though is a little more complex. It's a door opening and giving onto the second video! I cant seem to actually create the shape I want with the motion tool. It always keeps my video in a rectangular/square format.
I basically want to erase the stuff that shows up when the door opens and replace that with the second video. So the shapes I need to fill in are not linear.
Maybe Premiere is not the software to do this?

resultFormat="e4x" will give you resultset in XMLListCollection otherwise resultset will be an ArrayCollection.
For your example try with this statement after web service result:
txtInput.text = ws.ZJK_FLEX_TEST.lastResult.DATA1.toString();
where ws is id for web srvc and txtinput is a simple textInput control UI.

How do I hide the pen line I made a text pathway with?

Hi,
I drew a line with the pen then curved it into an 'S' shape, to make a text pathway. My text is now nicely sitting in an 'S' shape but when I make the line beneath it 100% transparent the text goes transparent too.

PS Opacity can affect the object as a whole or just a part of it (frame, text, graphic). Clearly you affected the whole object.

In the subject you ask how to put them back on the phone. That is done with the sync process in iTunes. Then you ask in the thread, how to make them work? Not sure about that, since you do not say what they are or are not doing.

I didn't say double-click on the tab. I said double-click on the tab selector's text. You need to use the "hand" tool if you have "Lock automatic tool selection" off in your LabVIEW options.

Hello. I am developing the accounting application of Journal Entry module. I have developed 5 pages for a journal entry: Journal header, Journal Line, Journal total, Journal Error and Journal Approval. I want to put 5 pages together as a panel group in the same screen so that users are convenient to use them. The format is as follows:
Header | Lines | Total | Error | Approval
When a user click on Header or Lines or Total or Error or Approval, its related page is displayed below it on the screen. But I don't understand how to put "Header", "Lines", "Total", "Error" and "Approval" together as above format and link them to its related page. Can anybody tell me how to do that ? Thanks.

I am developing an accounting system using PeopleTools by myself.
Because you understand PeopleSoft financial application, please tell me the 2 questions as follows:
First, In Journal Line page, when select "edit Journal" and click button "process", the system check the Journal against Budget, if it's Ok, the System assign Journal ID for the Journal and put "valid" into the field of "Budget Status" and "Journal Status" in Total page. If it's not OK, the system send error message into Error page. Do you know how developer do that ?
Second, In Journal Line Page, when select "Submit Journal" and click button "process", the system send the Journal to Approval page for approval. Do you know how developer do that ?

How to put a title of a group of controls with no line below title text?

Hi,
Is there any way to write a title of a group of controls and indicators made by "chiselled line", such that the chiselled line remain invisible below the title text and remain visible everywhere else? For example, the titles "Printer", "Page Range", "Copies", and "Zoom" in a Microsoft Word form in the attached PDF file; note that there is no line below the title text and there is no text box surrounding the title text. I want to have that kind of title of the group of controls and indicators in a GUI of my LabVIEW application.
Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks for your help, but I could not implement your idea. My replies to your suggestions are written in bold below.
One way is to put your text into a System Label or a free label. Ensure that you size the box to the text in it
Can you please explain what are "System label" and "free label"? As far as I am concerned, I first inserted a Recessed Frame from Decorations control palette. Then, I put the text using "Edit Text" tool in the Tools Palatte. The text box resizes automatically as I insert a new character in it. I wrote "Printer" in the text. Then, I went to Tools Palette, clicked on "Set Color", right-clicked on "Printer" text, clicked on "T" (Transparent) shown at the top-right position of the color palette. The result is that the text box around the text is eliminated, but still the line of the frame is making a strike-through effect. How to eliminate the line from the area of the text container. The resulting VI (using LabVIEW 8.5) is attached.
Change the colours of the label to have a background colour the same colour as your panel background, and the foreground colour set to transparent [transparent foreground removes the box round the text]
I think this is important. But I don't know where are the options for setting the "foreground color" and "background color".
When you position the text, you may find that it is partly hidden by the line. If so, select the text box and bring it to the front (Control-Shift-K is the keyboard shortcut) Note: This step won't be needed if you place the line before you make the label.
Thanks for the keyboard short-cut, but my problem is not solved yet, as shown in the attached VI.
By the way, where did you find the frame with round corners (in the image you have provided)? The recessed frame available in LabVIEW 8.5 decoration palette does not have round corners.

How do I put a group of songs into one album? They copied separately into iTunes.

Generally, in iTunes, all you need to do is fill in an appropriate Album Artist to keep things together. For older iPods each track from the same album should have the same artist, or be marked as a compilation where appropriate. On iOS devices you may need to go to Settings > Music > Group By Album Artist > On. For more details see my article on Grouping Tracks Into Albums, in particular the topic One album, too many covers.

now in ur Layout , bind the ENABLE property of CheckBoxGroup UI Element with this attribute ca_attr1
bind the ENABLE property of CheckBox UI Element with this attribute ca_attr2
create a action for ur Checkbox , for the OnToggle property of ur checkbox
in OnactionToggle , check if ca_attr2 is 'X' , set ca_attr2 to ' ' ( for disable)
this can be done by code wizard , press control +f7 and use read/set context attributes , use get_attribute and set_attribute methods

How to Put the orientation to Landscape in Page Setup?

I put the orientation property for header section as Landscape with:
width & height :11, Report Width : 90, Report Height: 66
and put orientation property for main section as Landscape with:
width : 15, height :11, Report Width : 90, Report Height: 66
and put orientaion property for trailer section as Landscape with:
width : 11, height :11, Report Width : 90, Report Height: 66
and then put the orientation in page setup to Landscape, but when I press the button OK and open Page setup window agian the oreintaion returned to Portrait, and when I print the report the right side of the page appeared blank which make the report imperfect.
How to solve this problem and make the page to appeared landscape not portrait??

The Orientation of my rtf template is 'Landscape' but the report that is getting generated in .xls Format is showing the orientation as 'Portrait'.

How to use two group tags in the header?

I am using BI Publishing,RTF Template,I found when I put two group tags before <?start:body?> ,the BI Publishing only keep the 2nd group tag right before <?start:body?> as header, it moved the 1st group tag to the body section.
Is this a bug? Can anyone give me some ideas how to make BI Publish treat all the group tags before <?start:body?> as the header/sub header?

i have totally 10 columns in my tabular form, in that 9 column is of database column and only one column is non-database column, while updating the row in the tabular form it is throwing the below error like

Is there any way to solve this issue. I need to have a non-database column in my tabular form but the presence of that column is not allowing to perform update in that tabular form.

[Flex 4.5.1] How does Button's fontSize property gets applied to labelDisplay?

How does Button's fontSize property gets applied to labelDisplay when lableDisplay's fontSize is not explicitly set. I just tested it it works but I don't know how. I looked through the ButtonBase class but I don't see any code applying the fontSize to the labelDisplay nor I see code in the Label to get parent's fontSize property if not set. Could someone explain to me how this works? I would be very grateful! Thanks !

Ok I found it, thanks for the heads up. I pretty much get the idea of how things work now
Could you please take a look at one more probably very simple to you question. I had to customize a button to be able to have 2 lables in it with different fontSize and topPadding in this case. I kinda copied some of the code from ButtonBase + added the styles and some code I needed to make it work.

So here are the questions:
1) If I am not going to use the styles in css then maybe I should better declare them as variables ?
2) I don't really understand how does the button gets updated and redrawn when I set Styles or properties like that cause there is nowhere a call to invalidate the display list (at least I couldn't find in the Button and ButtonBase classes) as I read in the Flex docs: Overriding the styleChanged() method
UPDATE: I forgot that setStyle calls invalidateDisplayList... and I just figured out that when the lable sets the text on the TextBase it calls the invalidates. I answered this one myself
3) I don't understand why do I have this code (copied from the buttonBase):
if (!styleProp ||
    styleProp == "styleName" ||
    styleProp == "numberFontSize" ||
    styleProp == "numberPaddingTop")
instead of just the code below:
if (styleProp == "numberFontSize" ||
   styleProp == "numberPaddingTop")
5) I am also not sure why I had to use content and label (again copied from the ButtonBase) when they are basicly the same thing
Currently with this Custom Component I've made, I am able to put 2 lables in the skin. One is the default. And the other one takes the default values I put on the label itself + uses the two styles numberFontSize and numberTopPadding to change that default values in case they need to be altered.
Although this works, I am not sure if I did it the best way or why does it work as you can say from my 5 questions
