How to put data restrictions in transaction: GR55

Hi,
When I run a report with gr55 it shows figures for all profit center.I have defined a role which has profit centers restriction .
but when ever user run gr55 he can see the data for the all proit center.
How can i put data restriction on GR55.
Anybody?

Hi,
You can create a selection group that will serve as parameter in your GR55 report. Go to transaction code GRR2 and edit your form. You can set/tick the hierarchy node or variable in the profit center characteristic.

One option: put your data into a JavaBean and then put that into the session. You can then access it from your JSP. You can access the properties of the bean using the basic JSP scripting elements, or if you want to get fancy, both JSTL and Struts have a bunch of custom tags for working with JavaBeans.

How to see data in a transaction ODS

Hi all,
I am populating data into my Transactional ODS through the function module RSDRI_ODSO_INSERT_RFC . But not able to see the data in it. as there is no manage option to the ODS. and by default an export datasource is created for the ODS. do i have to create one more standard ods and use this export datasource as update rules and see the data?
Please let me know how to see the data. and also and detail document on Transaction ODS?.

Data loaded through Planning Application eg. In Transactional ODS will not have manage option or request. You can view the data using following methods.
Since transactional ODS objects cannot be filled with BW data using staging (data is not supplied from the DataSources), they are not displayed in the Scheduler or in the Monitor. Transactional ODS objects can therefore not be updated in the same way as standard ODS objects.
If you switch a standard ODS object that already has update rules available to a transactional one, the update rules are set as inactive and are no longer processable.
As no change log is generated, no delta update of data stored at the end of the process is possible.
You cannot set the indicator for BEx Reporting when creating a transactional ODS object.
1.) In order to report this, you can create an InfoSet and then execute a BEx query for it.
2) You can also download the data from your transactional ODS object using the download function. You can find this function in the administration of the ODS objects, Tab Page Contents -> Active Data. Choose Execute to display the data. Using the main menu Edit -> Download, you can download the data in different formats.

Can any one explain step by step procedure to upload data using SXDA transaction.
I have already uploaded to txt file in Application server.
I have created a project and entered into the sub-project wizard and selected the object type as BKPF and then pressed continue, then i enter into task tab....
There i see convert data , Check file,File split,load data,
In convert data i have selected the program name as RFBIBL00.
In check file i have selected the file type as Physical file and selected the file name from F4 button.
I am fasing the probelm in load data ....
Can any one please explain how to proceed further..

ALSM_EXCEL_TO_INTERNAL_TABLE to upload the excel sheet data into internal table.
Then from the internal table data use KE13 transaction to upload data.

I need to answer hot to put data from database directly into array.
I tried like the code below but the error message said: java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: 0, and it points to this line: numbers [row][0]= rs.getString("ID");

The exception is been thrown simply because you assigned '0' to the 'row' variable, indicating a zero length of the array. In fact you should assign the row count to it.
After all, don't do that. Make use of the Collection framework and map the ResultSet to a Collection of DTO's.

But nothing is in it after executing the following code:

I tried to use the SimpleMFCOperatorInterface-example but as I am not using MFC it said:
'CListCtrl' : undeclared identifier
So this example isn't helpful for me.

If you have TestStand 3.0 installed then you will find a simple example using MFC under
\OperatorInterfaces\NI\Simple\C++ using MFC
The OI is written using the new UI controls and the manager controls.
You need TestStand 3.0 or greater to use the new UI controls

for reporting reasons I wish to store data in non-transactional ODS. Reading in this forum I found only the standard fm 'RSDRI_ODSO_MODIFY' but this fm is used only for transactional ODS.
Any suggestions?

Working in SEM environment I have the necessity to handle text field in a non-transactional ODS for reporting without using an InfoSet.
Observing the exceptions raised by calling the fm 'RSDRI_ODSO_MODIFY' it is possible to find the ODS_TYPE_NOT_TRANSACTIONAL showing that a non-transactional ODS is not handled.
I hope to have explained my intention and my problem and I'm confident to receive your support.

so how can we extract information from a transactions and programs

You can use the following methods
Method 1:
1> Create another ABAP program with logic to calculate all the fields, but instead of writing the result data to screenm, it should store it in a internal table and pass it to the extract structure.
2>Create a InfoSet query based on your ABAP program and use that InfoSet
3> Create a DataSource based on this InfoSet query and extract data from the DS to you ODS/Cube
In this method there is no Intermediate storage used.
Method 2:
1> Modify the report/transaction program to store the required data into a Transparent Table (u can create one from SE11) in addition to displaying on the screen.
2> Create a View on this transparent table (from SE11)
3> Create a DataSource on that view and extract data from that into your ODS/Cube.
Here, the required data is stored in the Table in addition to the DataTarget.
But, to implement either of these solution, you will need a decent ABAP knowledge. Else, it will give you a tough time!

In an Oracle table, myDateColumn is 2002-06-25 17:40:55. I can't put it into a variable.

You have 2 options i guess.
Use the transformation and the for-each to construct the array-list
or like Richard said, use a loop in bpel, assign in the loop an variable of element type="CSParameters" and append this variable to your variable with accepts the arraylist.

How to Put together all SAP Transactions that are used a single User

In our client place, each user will be given a set of transaction codes, (like Sales Order Creation, Invoice Creation etc....). Each user role differs with other user role.
Our client requirement is to put together all transaction codes on which his role is assigned, for instance transaction coeds like VA11, VA15N, VA21, VA25N, VL01N, VL06O, Print command. and customer generated report 'Z' codes should be placed together in a single transaction.
I heard about area menus but I dont know how to call that functionality within the Sales Transactions. Could any one of you help me to resolve this issue. Your suggestions will be highly appreciated.

HI,
In case of your requirement , you can create an Area Menu (SE43) based on the role and assign all the required transactions.
Later you can assign that Area Menu as the default parameter to the User ID (SU01).
Whenever the user will logon he will see that area menu instead of initial SAP screen.
Please check with the same and confirm.

For example: i have 5 records in the database query them and place them in JTable and each record has its own status. if i want to change the status For Example: the status of the 4 records are "Cleared" and the other one is "RELEASEd" so if i have JCombo Box to set the 4 records in to RELEASED status and then save the changes is that possible?

How to put data in datagrid with AS3 AIR?

Hi, I'm doing an AIR app scheduler to load data from a .txt. I'm able to trace the data in flash but how do I put those data into flash components (maybe datagrid? Maybe something that can let the user delete part of the entry of their schedule in the scheduler. For example if they wish to delete entry 5 of the scheduler, what should the code for the app be? After displaying the code in the app via flash, the user will be able to delete the fifth entry in the scheduler, or something similiar to this idea. How can I achieve that?

Hi, I'm not sure what is a Data Provider actually.
How about if in flash I make a combo box that list out all the sheduler entries that is grabbed from the .txt file, allowing the user to select which sheduler entry they want to delete. Is that possible? Using FileReference or FileStream is better in this case? How can this be done?
