How to put the form in Query mode

Hello
Please let me know how to put the form or block in Query mode , so that when i run the form it should be in Query mode . I have seen properties of SET_FORM_PROPERTY and SET_BLOCK_PROPERTY but cannot find one

QUERY mode? Did you mean, that you can only QUERY without changing data.
This is the QUERY-ONLY-mode, which can be started e.g. call_form

In struts you have the option of putting the scope of form as sesison in struts-config.xml.How
do you do the same thing in weblogic workshop 8.1?Workshop automatically generates
the config files for each workflow and it puts the default scope as request.
If I want to put the form scope in session.How can I do that?
Any help regarding this is appreciated

I forgot to mention that to get a form in page flow scope you need to set
the form on the action annotation,
@jpf:action form="<form name>"
This allows the action to read and update from a FormData (or ActionForm)
member variable.
Here is an excerpt from the documentation

feature of Workshop. There is a good dev2dev article

You might also consider the 8.1 SP2 feature, page flow scoped forms. Youcan
declare your form as a private member of your page flow (.jpf) and thenpass
the form from an action to a page by calling addOutputForm on yourforward,
for example,

How to run the forms under debug Mode?

Hi,
I run my form under debug mode by introducing a break point on a trigger. But i am receive the following error how to solve this issue.
JVM aborting and followed by the following one.
FRM-92101: There was a failure in the forms server during startup.
This could happend due to invalid configuration.
Please look into the Web-server log files for details.and additional information from Java console.

Lets start with a few of the basics, shall we. What JVM are you using (Jinit or Sun JRE and the version)? Based on the error you posted, I can infer that you are using Forms 10.1.2.0? Are you running a custom configuration in the formsweb.cfg and default.env? This could be the cause if you have modified the CLASSPATH setting in the default.env excluding core .jar files.
Typically, the FRM-92101 error is caused by a Java error; either a .jar is not found or invalid or not compatible with JVM, etc.
Have you tried clearing your Java Cache to check for a corrupt .jar?

Hello!
Install Oracle Forms Server. If you use custom instalation you do not need WEB browser - Forms server instals the WEB DB listener which acts as browser, listening on port 80 and communicating with the Forms Server.
Download the PDF document "Forms Server Release 6i" from the Forms page on the OTN. Print it. Read it.
Everything is relatively easy but of course more complex as in client-server enviroment - you have to think about the browser, URL, Jinitiator, ... etc.!

Developering ADF form in query mode (Oracle forms simulation)

Hi,
we have a requirement for developing the existing Oracle form using Oracle ADF. The existing Oracle form displays the form in query mode by default. We can enter the search criteria in any of the text fields and then execute query to get the results. If the user does not enter any search criteria, then the form loads specific record based on default criteria into the form. Could you please help developing similar form using ADF.
At present I created the view object with one bind variable and dragged the view as ADF form to the jspx page. Then I am launching the form in query mode (executing the find method on the view object using operation binding at the time of loading the page). After entering the query criteria in the form, If I click on a button I am executing a method in the managed bean. In the managed bean I am executing the "Execute" operation on the view and it is working fine.
But my problem is if the user does not enter the search criteria I have to pass default parameters to the view object and return the default record in the form.
Can you please help in resolving the issue.

Thank you for providing information. I created the query panel with the table by dragging all the named criteria. But this is not the look we are expecting for this form. As we have to deveop ADF form with the same behavior as oracle forms, the user must be in a position to edit the data in the same field as that of query field.
As an example, we have to design a form for Dept table. We have to display all the columns of the dept view in the form at the time of launching the form in query mode. Once the user enters any search criteria in the form, we have to perform search and display the record(s) matching the query criteria in the same columns displayed in the form. User should not see any changes in the form layout.
If the user does not enter any data in the form, then we have to display the record(s) in the form with the specific department id(This department id can be calculated based on the data in another table).
Can you please help us in resolving the issue.

How do I get and pass Master-Detail rowid to another form in query mode?

I am trying to get the rowid of my master record passed to
another form in query mode. This is necessary because, I need to
have a way to show other detail tables for my master record. I
have been successful in calling the other forms, but only if I
hard code the rowid(or Primary Key).
Ultimately a "Tabbed" HTML table for each supporting detail
table that I have would be perfect. Any help would be greatly

If you need to restore your device or ff you cannot remember the passcode, then you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it. Please tell me how to put the SQL-statement value (as a default value) into the field before enter-query mode. Noted that I have tried the following ways but still some problems:-
1) Place the SQL-statement into PRE_QUERY trigger in the form/block level.
There is a message box which ask 'Do you want to save the changes?'.
2) Place the SQL-statement before execute enter_query. There is still a
message box which ask 'Do you want to save the changes?'.

Just for completeness, what version of VB.NET are you using?
Here is a complete project to copy all the files with the added "ABL," at the start of each line. You need to start a new Project with a BLANK default Form1, and replace all of Form1 code with the code below. When you run this project, you
need to use the 2 buttons to set up the ORIGINAL file folder and a folder to place the copies. You need to check if the file EXTENSION is correct (I assumed txt), and check the text to add to each line is correct. Once all is set up you should have a

Open form in query mode

I want to be able to open a form in query mode - is there any way to set this?
I am using Designer and Headstart.

Ipad displays "ipad is disabled connect to itunes", I have tried putting the ipad into recovery mode and then restoring but that does not work. I have also tried doing a hard reset of the ipad and that does not work either. Any ideas?

My son let one of his friends use his ipad. The next time he tired to use it he could not get it unlocked, I tired to unlock it but it kept telling me that I had the wrong pass code. With out me knowing my son continued to tire until it completely disabled it self.

‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just canceling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.
