How to read 'clicked header' AND selected row from multicolumn listbox?
I have a multicolumn listbox filled with 6 columns and about 500 rows.
I want the user to be able to click on a column header, and sort the listbox alphabetically on that column. I've written the code for that, and that works. (using the 'itemnames' en 'get clicked col hdr' properties.)
However, I also want to include the option, that when a user highlights a row, and then clicks on the header, that after the listbox gets sorted it scrolls down to the selected row.
(So that the user doesn't have to search for it)
And that's where things go wrong, because the value of the listbox changes to zero when you click on a column header. No I idea why it does that, but it's rather
annoying. Can I change that behaviour somehow?
Or any ideas how to get around it?
My thanks to you and Jared.
Seems I got a working solution now.
Did take a while to figure out why your solution worked. Basicly, you're reading the row from a few iterations before.
As soon as I understood that, I simplified it a little. Look at the attached file... I think it does the same. :-)
Jared asked for the sorting routine. As I don't seem to be able to attach files when replying to comments, I took the liberty to include it here also.
Basicly, I just use the 'sort 1D array' that comes with Labview 6. To be able to sort a 2D array, I convert every row to a cluster. That's something the 'sort 1D array' VI can handle nicely.
To sort on the correct column, I just cut all columns in front, and paste them behind again. A
fter sorting, I reverse the process.
Anthony.

How can I get the selected rows from two ALV grids at the same time?
I have a program that uses two ALV grids in one dialog screen. I'm using the OO ALV model (SALV* classes).
The user can select any number of rows from each grid. Then, when a toolbar pushbutton is pressed, I'd have to retrieve the selected rows from both grids and start some processing with these rows.
It is no problem to assign event handlers to both grids, and use the CL_SALV_TABLE->GET_SELECTIONS and CL_SALV_SELECTIONS->GET_SELECTED_ROWS methods to find out which rows were marked by the user. Trouble is, this only works when I raise an event in each grid separately, for instance via an own function that I added to the grid's toolbar. So, I can only see the selected rows of the same grid where such an event was raised.
If I try to do this in the PBO of the dialog screen (that contains the two grids), the result of CL_SALV_SELECTIONS->GET_SELECTED_ROWS will be empty, as the program does not recognize the marked entries in the grids. Also, an event for grid1 does not see the selected rows from grid2 either.
As it is right now, I can have an own button in both grid's toolbar, select the rows, click on the extra button in each grid (this will tell me what entries were selected per grid). Then, I'd have to click on a third button (the one in the dialog screen's toolbar), and process the selected rows from both grids.
How can I select the rows, then click on just one button, and process the marked entries from both grids?
Is it somehow possible to raise an event belonging to each grid programmatically, so that then the corresponding CL_SALV_SELECTIONS->GET_SELECTED_ROWS will work?
Thanks.Hello Tamas ,
If I try to do this in the PBO of the dialog screen (that contains the two grids), the result of CL_SALV_SELECTIONS->GET_SELECTED_ROWS will be empty, as the program does not recognize the marked entries in the grids. Also, an event for grid1 does not see the selected rows from grid2 either.--->
is it possible to have a check box in each grid & get the selected lines in PAI of the screen ?

How to find the header and item level status of a CRM contract ?
Hi,
Few questions
A. How to find the header and item level status of a CRM contract ? My req is to select all the contract line items which are in CLOSED status.
B. How to get the BPs associated with a contract ?
Anyone have the list of CRM tables and the relation amongst them. Please mail me in [email protected]CRMD_ORDERADM_H Contains the Header Information for a Business Transaction.
Note:
1. It doesnt store the Business Partner
responsible for the transaction. To
get the Partner No, link it with
CRM_ORDER_INDEX.
2. This table can be used for search
based on the Object Id(Business
Transaction No).
CRMD_CUSTOMER_H Additional Site Details at the Header Level of a Business Transaction
CRMD_LINK Transaction GUID set for all the Business Transactions
CRMD_ORDER_INDEX Contains Header as well as Item details for a Business Transaction.
Note:
1. It doesnt store the Business
Transaction No (Object ID).
To get the Business Transaction No
link the table with
CRMD_ORDERADM_H
2. This table can be used for search
based on the Partner No
CRMD_ORDERADM_I Stores the Item information for a Business Transaction. The scenarios where we have a Contract Header and within contract we have Line Items for the contract, this table can be useful.
E.g. Service Contracts

How to read the date and time information of a file by labview
how to read the date and time information of a file by labview? for example, created time and modified time.
Solved!
Go to Solution.if you need to know the last modification date of file:-
"Functions->File I/O->Advanced File Functions->File/Directory Info.vi"
This vi returns the value of file's last modification date. This is returned as U32 number. To see it in MM/DD/YY format you must create the indicator, right-click on it and select "Format & Precision" item from drop-down menu. Then select "Time and Date" format there.
Thanks as kudos only -
How to select rows from database like 10 to 20 etc
Hi Experts,
I want to select rows from database like row number 10 to row number 20.How could it be done?HI,
First get the data into the INTERNAL TABLE from the FLAT FILE and read the internal table using the index.
ex: 1) Read table ITAB index 10.
2) Read table ITAB index 20.
or use as said by Srinivas Gurram, to get the range of records using where condition to the loop.

How can i create Header and items in SMART FORM
Hi Experts,
How can i create Header and items in SMART FORM in the below driver program.
_Header fields_
SELECT BUKRS BUDAT GJAHR CPUDT USNAM BLART BELNR XBLNR BLDAT WAERS KURSF
FROM BKPF INTO CORRESPONDING FIELDS OF TABLE IT_HEAD WHERE BELNR IN S_BELNR AND BUDAT IN S_BUDAT AND GJAHR EQ S_GJAHR AND BUKRS EQ S_BUKRS AND CPUDT IN S_CPUDT AND USNAM IN S_USNAM.
Item firlds
SELECT BUZEI BSCHL SGTXT SHKZG KOSTL PRCTR WERKS WRBTR HKONT KUNNR ZFBDT FROM BSEG INTO CORRESPONDING FIELDS OF TABLE IT_ITEM
FOR ALL ENTRIES IN IT_HEAD WHERE BELNR = IT_HEAD-BELNR AND GJAHR = IT_HEAD-GJAHR AND BUKRS = IT_HEAD-BUKRS.
LOOP AT IT_HEAD.
MOVE-CORRESPONDING IT_HEAD TO FINAL.
LOOP AT IT_ITEM
WHERE BELNR = IT_HEAD-BELNR.
MOVE-CORRESPONDING IT_ITEM TO FINAL.
ENDLOOP.
ENDLOOP.
Regards,
Sreedhar.for these internal tables you can pass some Identifier for both tables.
in header file : IT_HEAD
IDENT type char10,
BUKRS type BUKRS,
BUDAT type BUDAT, like
in header file :IT_ITEM
IDENT type char10,
BUZEI type BUZEI,
BSCHL type BSCHL, like in item data
you need to fille the IDENT value like
IT_HEAD:
10 -- DE01-- 10.20.2009
20 -- CH01-- 10.20.2009
IT_ITEM
10 -- 1234-- KSCHL value like all records
10 -- 2345-- KSCHL value like all records
10 -- 6783-- KSCHL value like all records
20 -- 3452-- 1KSCHL value like all records
20 -- 4532-- KSCHL value like all records
20 -- 4535-- KSCHL value like all records
in smartform you need to create 2 tables.
or create
LOOP with IT_HEAD
table with IT_HEAD
table with IT_ITEM
and put the condition for each table in DATA tab where condtion like IDENT = IT_HEAD-IDENT
in item table also INDENT = IT_ITEM-INDENT.. -
How to delete or remove the selected row in a table
Dear Experts,
I'm facing a typical requirement in VC, similiar to variable selection screen in BI Queries :
I will have two tabes and if the user selects data from one table it will be moved to target table.I'm able to populate the target table with the value but I'm not able to delete the selected row from the source table.
Any help in this regard would be highlt appreciated.
Thankx in advance.
Regds,
Srinivasan.Hi
Follow the following steps -
1. Create two buttons. One for 'delete row' and another one for 'insert row'.
2. Assign the proper system action as per the name.
2. Change the name of both buttons as common name.
3. To trigger the actions simultaneously add a star before the action.( For Example : *select)
4. Change the visibility of any one of the button as 'false'. (so it will not get displayed)
5. Now, if u click the visible button both actions will be triggered simultaneously.

How do I search for and select a repeating phrase in a file.
How do I search for and select a repeating phrase in a file read via Applescript. The file contains details of phone calls submitted to a charity and I want to be able to analyse the types of call taken. The phrase is 'Type of enquiry' and I want to extract the description that follows. I am a beginner at Applescript and have been working my way through Applescript 1-2-3 but cannot find an obvious solution although I have manged to open and read the file! All suggestions gratefully received.
In applescript you can use something like the following:
set {oldTID, my text item delimiters} to {my text item delimiters, "Type of enquiry"}
set dataBits to text items of textToParse
set my text item delimiters to oldTID
the variable dataBits, then, will be a list where every list item is a string that starts with the text following that phrase.
You could do regular expressions searches as well, but you'd need to download and install the Satimage osax. -
I have downloaded an app which I think is to large as it has jammed. The icon just reads loading. How can I stop it and clear it from my pad????
Have you tried a reset to see if it resumes after the iPad has restarted ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

i am getting output
i am getting subtotals for respective fields
but i want to display only subtotals and totals rows in the output
i have tried the
totals_only parameter in slis_layout_alv
but it is not working.hi,
For TOTAL
For the amount field / quantity field in the field catalog give DO_SUM = 'X' for WHOLE total
For SUBTOTAL
For subtotal you will have to create an internal table sort..Let's say you want to do subtotal for each customer..
DATA: lt_sort type SLIS_T_SORTINFO_ALV,
ls_sort type slis_sortinfo_alv.
CLEAR ls_sort.
ls_sort-spos = 1.
ls_sort-fieldname = 'Give the field name that you do the sum'.
ls_sort-up = 'X'.
ls_sort-subtot = 'X'.
APPEND ls_sort TO lt_sort.
fieldcatalog-do_dum = 'X'.
for subtotals
WA_SORT-FIELDNAME = 'ERSDA'.
WA_SORT-SPOS = '2'.
WA_SORT-UP = 'X'.
WA_SORT-SUBTOTAL = 'X'.
APPEND WA_SORT TO IT_SORT.

Thanks JeanYves
i found that parameter but didn't know what to set to it i even has no forms in my pc thanks again
Regards,
Abdetu...Hi Abdetu,
There is 3 parameters in the <DevSuiteHome>\forms\server.formsweb.cfg having the same behavior.
Logo
Background
SplashScreen
By default (if you don't have specified them in you [section] they values are inherited from the [default] section) the values are
Logo=
Background=
SplashScreen=
This means you will have the oracle logo, the Forms Services background image in your applet and the oracle splash screen at startup.
*To have nothing shown then just put the value no in front of these 3 parameters*
Logo=no
Background=no
SplashScreen=noYou can also customize that with you own gif files.
For this you have to put your images in a icons.jar file
place it in your <DevSuiteHome>\forms\java where frmall.jar and others are located.
then in your formsweb.cfg :
Archive=frmall.jar, icons.jar
ImageBase=CodeBase
Logo=yourlogo.gif
Background=yourbackground.gif
SplashScreen=yourbeautifullsplachscreen.gifAnd at least if you have a small gif in your icons.jar for the window you can also defining the Icon Filename property in Forms builder. This wile replace the default forms runtime icon.
Hope this helps
