How to Read the GUID of the current Transaction.

I am writing a new Function Module, which i will use in the Search Help. I need to process the data using this Function Module. For the same, i need to read the data from the current Transaction. I will be using CRM_ORDER_READ for the same. However, i need to READ the "Header_Guid" before.
Can anyone help. How to read the GUID of the current Transaction?

From where you are going to call this FM ? Are you planning to Implement some BADI or from some BSP application ? If from BSP application then code will look something like this.
DATA: current           TYPE REF TO if_bol_bo_property_access.
DATA: dref              TYPE REF TO data.
DATA: lv_guid           TYPE crmt_object_guid.
FIELD-SYMBOLS: <l_data> TYPE data.
IF iterator IS BOUND.
    current = iterator->get_current( ).
ELSE.
    current = collection_wrapper->get_current( ).
ENDIF.
TRY.
      dref = current->get_property( 'GUID' ).
    CATCH cx_sy_ref_is_initial.
      RETURN.
ENDTRY.
ASSIGN dref->* TO <l_data>.
CLEAR: lv_guid.
lv_guid = <l_data>.
and you will have the current transaction guid. Since I am not sure at what point of time you are trying to get the guid so I have given you the code at the context node BTADMINH level.

How to read the current selection in a table.

Hello Experts,
I've this issue with the web dynpro. I have a Adaptive Webservice Model in web dynpro. And I have three tables in the UI. When a row is selected in the first table, the second table is populated with the appropriate data (using a method in the web service.) the same applies to the third table, when the a row is selected in the second table, the third table has to be populated with the appropriate data. The methods in the web service are all working fine. However, in web dynpro, I am not able to figure out on how I read the selected row in a table. Any information on how to resolve this would be really really helpful.

I didnt clearly understood your problem. When you are selecting a particular row in a table you are executing a web service named Get Mail. Are you passing any input parameter(any selected row data) while executing a web service. And when you get the response node where you have a attribute in the node getmail. Am I right.
If this is the case, then first check if the GetMail node is present or not by comparing it will null or checking its size. If the node is null then you will not get attribute as the element itself is null as nothing is retrieved in response. And if the node is not null then the element at 0th position is selected by default. you can retreieve the attribute by directly using the following code
if(wdContext.nodeGetMail() !=null)
String profileId= wdContext.currentGetMailElement().getProfileID();

How to read the current value of hyperlink java bean in multiple record,

I have used a java bean for a multi-record block item. On When-new form-instance I m using fbean package as follows
FBean.Register_Bean(hHyperlink,1,'oracle.forms.demos.beans.Hyperlink');

You can see that I am using the number 1 which is hardcoded,for which I will replace with a incremental loop and remove it. Now when I m using the When-Custom-Item-Event, I want to read the URL for the current instance.
I m using
vcEventData := Fbean.Invoke_Char('CONTROL.HYPERLINK',2,'getURL');
to get the second record value , where in I want to avoid the hardcoded 2 or 1

SapScript, How do I read the current line number?

I have sections of text - each in it's own element with an 'include' of the standard text.
These sections are variable in size.
All elements are in the MAIN window.
I do not want a paragraph to split over two pages.
How do I read the current line number within the sapscript before the section prints so I can issue a new-page command at the beginning of the paragraph?

Yes, that does work for paragraphs.
If I have multiple elements to print from within a loop where "at first, at each and at last" each call the Sapscript funtcion write_form - how can I keep the whole section together. protect/endprotect will keep each element together but not the group of elements.
There must be a way to find the current line number.

Hi Devi,
CRM GUID is a Key in CRM which makes much of a difference from other R/3 components.
Each and every transaction in CRM is associated to a Unique GUID and also the corresponding changes done on any trans will have it own guid like ( UPD GUID, Delete GUID,e tc).
To read Guid you can refer to any of the Master Table for Bus Objects like
for BUPA GUID check Partner_Guid in BUT000,
for ORDER GUID check GUID in CRM_ORDERADM_H
etc.

How to calculate the Current APC (Acquisition and Production Cost)

Hi,
Please help me how to calculate the Current APC.
The Current APC (Acquisition and Production Cost) is a calculated value based on Previous Year Acquisition balance plus any value changes up to the time of the report.
The Asset History Report (RAGITT_ALV01) calculates the Current APC value &
The Current APC can also be found in the Asset Explorer (transaction code AW01N) under Country Book 10/ Posted Values tab then the line Acquisition Value and column Posted values.
I suppose that the calculation of Current APC (Acquisition and Production Cost) is getting done in the GET statements in the report RAGITT_ALV01, but unable to find the actual logic.
Please help me.

I want to edit this function in order to decide wether the user in the "entitlet users group" to edit the calendar entry.
My Assumption : The title of calendar is equal to the group name, and the users (who will edit the calendar entry) added into that group.
So,
step-1: I am getting the username. *(THIS IS OK)*
step-2: Reading the (caller) calendar portlet's title (this is the group name) *(This is the QUESTION)*
step-3: checking the user is in the group or not?* (THIS IS OK)*
I can not able to read the current calendar portlet's title. How can I read the calendar portlet's title at step 2?

This will work by getting the url query string and getting value from one of query parameters. But this is not recommended. Best approach is as mentioned earlier using APIs and Backing Contexts Files. Because in future just incase if WLP Framework implementation changes and if the url has some other different parameters, you may need to modify your code. So best is to use Backing contexts APIs.

I'm not 100% clear on what the requirement is from the description, however it does sound like you are making things unnecessarily complicated.
If you want permanent/ID-independent links then use application and page aliases.
so here we used to display the url like this: <tt>{noformat}http://81.131.254.171:8080/apex/f?p=122{noformat}</tt>

ok folks, I found the answer at Tom's as usual.

I rewrote it into a function for kicks. just pass the results of DBMS_UTILITY.FORMAT_CALL_STACK to this function and you will get back the owner of the code making the call as well some extra goodies like the name of the code and the type of code depending on the parameter. This ignores the AUTHID CURRENT_USER issues which muddles the schemaid. Quick question, does the average user always have access to DBMS_UTILITY.FORMAT_CALL_STACK or does this get locked down on some systems?
