How to remoce CDATA tag from XSLT mapping
Hi Sharma,
Please remove all CDATA elements from your code and execute so that you will get expected output. Because CDATA term we will use while writing
DTD for your source xml, so this is not required in XSL Program. check below code....

<xsl:stylesheet version="2.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform">
<xsl:output method="xml" version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" indent="no"/>

</DlrDiscItemWiseXML>
</DlrDiscItemWise>
</xsl:template>

Remove Cdata tags from XML body
Integration Broker message is being publish from the Peoplecode in the savepostchange event of a page......So basically when they click on the save, it is being published.
ok, I have title field on a page and the user entered special character "&" and there is a HTML definition being used and that definition goes through parsexmlstring function.
For example In the cust_title field on a page the user entered " A & B"
I went to the HTML definition and wrapped cust_title field in the CDATA tags like
%BIND(:8)

Now , there is no error, XML is getting published. But in the xml message
I see Cdata tags and string is appearing exactly as it was entered.....
But how can I get rid of the Cdata tags from the XML message?Dear Odie,
May I make your example a bit more complicated by adding an additional complexType, please:
---Original ----
<DEPT>
<EMPID>1</EMPID>
<EMPNAME>Martin Chadderton</EMPNAME>
<SALARY>??</SALARY>
<SALARYq></SALARYq>

Your solution works perfectly for <SALARY>, but how would you suggest also to deal with <TO_DATE> ?
Massive thanks for your help!
N.B. Just to emphasise, in my case I have 3 levels (complexType > complexType > complexType) and many elements and I would like to know if there is any generic option to say
to remove all the empty elements from the result, as it causes to the SSJ (Systinet) Webservice to crash. -
How to read Group ID from Value Mapping Context in Cache Monitoring ?
Hi friends,
In RWB --> Cache Monitoring --> Integration Server (Java) -> (Search for Value Mapping Groups) in this each item is identified by Value Mapping Group (GroupID, Context, Identifier/Agency, Identifier/Scheme). Either we create Value Mapping Table in ID or replicate value mapping data directly from text file/SAP table etc., in run time cache, data will be identified in this manner.
Now, our requirement is to delete a record the Cache for a particular context. Two operations provided by XI one is 'Delete' and another one is 'DeleteGroup'. When we use either of this, we should know GroupID. Suppose, I replicated some large amount of data from my text file in Runtime Cache. Value Mapping Table is like that IN --> India, US --> USA, AU --> Australia, EG --> Egypt. Now, I am required to write a program to get the input country code from user which is going to delete in the value mapping table like IN/AU.... For this, what logic we should follow in the program is, First we scan the value mapping table and find the record (country code) which is match with the input. Then find the GUID value for this record. Now we use the DeleteGroup Operation and pass this GUID and then delete the record.
So, in essence, how to read the GUID from value mapping context.
Friends, Kindly help me to do this.
Thanks in advance.
Jegatheeswaran P.Did you get the way to read group id?

How to aviod html tags from Report column heading while export to csv

How to aviod html tags from Report column heading while export to excel.
We used like Employee
Department in column heading, but the problem is the
tag also exporting into csv file.
If any column data 3/2009 formatt the it will exporting as marh 2009.
Please help on this.
Thanks,

Edited by: pnr on Jul 5, 2011 5:00 AMHi Nr
Here is how I approached this problem.
Go to report attributes tab
under column attributes check PLSQL radio button.
Create a function to return the heading of your report as shown below in your database.
create function get_heading return clob as
v_request VARCHAR2(20) := V('REQUEST');
v_col_heading CLOB;
begin
IF INSTR(v_request,'FLOW_EXCEL_OUTPUT',1) > 0 THEN
v_col_heading := 'Employee Number:Employee Name';
ELSE
v_col_heading := 'Employee breaktag Number:Employee break tag Name';
END IF;
return v_col_heading;
end;
Type the function below under ( Function returning colon delimited headings:) as follows.
return get_heading;
Similarly for data base it on PLSQL function body returning SQL and follow the same approach as headings.
Hope this helps.
Thanks

How to remove CDATA from XSLT mapping result
Dear All,
Using the following code:

<xsl:stylesheet version="2.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform">
<xsl:output method="xml" version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" indent="no"/>
<xsl:template match="/">

<xsl:text disable-output-escaping="yes">></xsl:text>
</DlrDiscItemWiseXML>
</DlrDiscItemWise>
</xsl:template>
</xsl:stylesheet>
I am getting result as

but client doesnot want <![CDATA] and ]] at the end. Basically client doesn't want CDATA tag as it is throwing error wihile collecting message in Web Service.
Please help!!Hi,
You remove CDATA from xsl program which you are using in mapping so that it will come in output. Because CDATA we will use in DTD only, not required in XSL program.

Removing specific XML tag in XSLT mapping
Hi there,
I've asked before about a XML to string XSLT mapping and the answers provided here helped me to successfully do that mapping! Thanks a lot!
I'm using the following mapping to convert a string back to XML.

<xsl:stylesheet version="2.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform" xmlns:m="http://my.namespace.com">
<xsl:output method="xml" version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" indent="no"/>
<xsl:template match="/">
<xsl:for-each select="//m:my_tag">
<xsl:value-of select="." disable-output-escaping="yes"/>
</xsl:for-each>
</xsl:template>
</xsl:stylesheet>
But now, I'm having a problem converting back from string to XML. The response tag "m:mytag" has a string like this:
"<tag1><tag2>Data</tag2></tag1>".
And when I use the XSLT mapping shown above, the output file comes like this:

<tag1>
<tag2>Data</tag2>
</tag1>
As you can see, the initial <?xml ...> tag is duplicated, and it generates a parsing error in XI.
How can I eliminate one of the "" strings in the mapping?
Thanks a lot.Wow!!!
The output="html" actually worked on XML Spy!
Removing the XSLT file initial tag didn't work.
I had already resolved this problem using the replace-string method that I found here: http://aspn.activestate.com/ASPN/Cookbook/XSLT/Recipe/65426
But your method is way more elegant and efficient. :o)
I'll test the html method on XI, but I'm almost sure it'll work too. -
Java RFC lookup from XSLT mapping
I tried to implement a generic Java RFC Lookup class to be called as a Java extension from my XSLT mapping. I found the How-To-Guide "Easy RFC lookup from XSLT mappings using a Java helper class" ([Easy RFC lookup pdf site|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/05a3d62e-0a01-0010-14bc-adc8efd4ee14?quicklink=index&overridelayout=true]) and tailored the source code to my XSLT program. I am getting the error "Variable '$inputparam' has not been bound to a value". Can anyone tell me what I am missing? I am not familiar with java at all, and only moderately familiar with XSLT.
> I am getting the error "Variable '$inputparam' has not been bound to a value". Can anyone tell me what I am missing?
At runtime the variable does not get value. You need to assign value to the variable inputparam. Just curious why dont use the RFC lookup graphical which is very easy and no need to handle java programming. You need to configure just reciever RFC communication channel. -
How to handle duplicate nodes in xslt mapping
Hi,
in my scenario that i have a source mapped to the canonical structure and from canonical to target.
source structure
<empid>
<national_id>
canonical structure

0 to unbounded

<type>
the mapping from source to canonical
is like i have duplicated the canonical structure and then mapped
id -
empid
type--- assigned a constant employee
id -
national_id
type--- assigned a constant National
i have used xslt mapping using stylus studio and mapping from source to canonical is not the problem
when i mapped the canonical to target there is a problem
the node id is visible once in the canonical when the structure is a source
but there is a dupicate node in the structure but not visible. how to procedue with the mapping for canonical to target
kindly help me

Accessing ECC tables from XSLT mapping
Hi All,
I have requirement where I need to access a SAP table from PI XSLT mapping.
Pls provide inputs on how to achieve it.
Thanks,
Navneeth K.Hello,
You can refer to this document found in SAP Help
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/55/7ef3003fc411d6b1f700508b5d5211/frameset.htm
And a sample blog
/people/pooja.pandey/blog/2005/06/27/xslt-mapping-with-java-enhancement-for-beginners
In your case, the idea is to call a java class inside the xslt mapping. So to access the ECC table, you can use a Java Mapping Class so that it would be easier to implement an RFC lookup.
Hope this helps,

ALSB 3.0 - Problem adding CDATA Tags using XSLT
Hi all,
I am having a problem using ALSB to insert CDATA tags into some XML.
Here's a simple example of the stylesheet I am using:

<xsl:stylesheet xmlns:xsl="[http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform]" version="1.0">
<xsl:template match="/">

<xsl:value-of disable-output-escaping="no" select="''"/>

<xsl:value-of disable-output-escaping="no" select="''"/>

</xsl:template>
</xsl:stylesheet>
In XMLSpy, this produces the following output:

Which is correct.
However, when running the same transformation as an XSLT in ALSB, I get the following output:

<?javax.xml.transform.disable-output-escaping?>
& lt ;
<?javax.xml.transform.enable-output-escaping?>
![CDATA[

<?javax.xml.transform.disable-output-escaping?>
& gt ;
<?javax.xml.transform.enable-output-escaping?>

From some digging about online, I've found that the
"<?javax.xml.transform.enable-output-escaping?>" elements are
processing instructions.
Has anyone else had similar issues?
Or more importantly, has anyone fixed this?
Cheers,
Dave
Edited by: DaveFeeder on 10-Dec-2008 12:36I've found a solution to this now.
I've used the fn-bea:serialize XQuery function to serialized the data, having the same effect as manually trying to insert the CDATA,and if anything, is a neater solution.
Cheers

At runtime sometimes the mapping fails however when executing the mapping from ESR (test operation mapping) with the same payload it is executed succesfully (lookup is to system that is the senderservice of the scenario).
Anybody a clue.
Also clearing mapping cache etc. did not solve the problem.

Getting unwanted values between the XML tags in XSLT mapping
Hi Folks
I have come across a very strange situation with my xslt mapping.
I am getting unwated values "11" between xml tags
as follows
<Tag>0001</Tag>
11
<DataID>3</DataID>
I am not sure why I am getting these values in between the tags. Any suggestions would be appreciated.Hi David,
Here is the code fragment where these 2 tags are mapped, FYI, the source is an IDOC message. The unwanted "11" is coming After the <Tag></Tag> and <DataID></DataID>. FYI, Fof the element <Tag></Tag> its a default value. But for <DataID> </DataID> I have the mapping logic.
<Order>
<OrderHeader>
<Tag>009</Tag>
<xsl:for-each select="E1EDKA1">
<xsl:choose>
<xsl:when test="normalize-space(PARVW) = 'WE' and normalize-space(LIFNR) = 'U960'">
<DataID>
<xsl:value-of select="'1'" />
</DataID>
</xsl:when>
<xsl:when test="normalize-space(PARVW) = 'WE' and normalize-space(LIFNR) = 'U300'">
<DataID>
<xsl:value-of select="'3'" />
</DataID>
</xsl:when>
<xsl:when test="normalize-space(PARVW) = 'WE' and normalize-space(LIFNR) = 'U930'">
<DataID>
<xsl:value-of select="'1'" />
</DataID>
</xsl:when>
<xsl:when test="normalize-space(PARVW) = 'WE' and normalize-space(LIFNR) = 'U400'">
<DataID>
<xsl:value-of select="'3'" />
</DataID>
</xsl:when>
<xsl:otherwise>
<xsl:value-of select="'1'" />
</xsl:otherwise>
</xsl:choose>
</xsl:for-each> -
How to remove html tags from a column
Hi
Problem is this: I get a column with a comma separated list of id's and I can successfully parse these id's and use them elsewhere. BUT, occasionally there are html tags within that id list like this:
1082471,1237423
Is there a way to just automatically remove all tags from a column? Could do this with regex, but since there is no support, I don't know what to do.Hi,
If the HTML can be detected by a starting symbol like „<“, then you could use the following:
Unfortuntely the operation “ReplaceRange” is only available on a Text-level, so you have to invoke a function (at least to my knowledge). You also need an Index-column in your table, so if you don’t have it, you need to create one as well.
This is your function:
let
fnRemoveHTML = (Value, Index) =>
let
Source = Excel.CurrentWorkbook(){[Name="Tabelle1"]}[Content],
IndeNo = Index,
Value_ = Source{IndeNo-1}[Value],
length = Text.Length(Text.From(Value_)),
position = Text.PositionOf(Text.From(Value_), "<"),
range = length-position,
new= if Value_ is number then Value_ else Text.ReplaceRange(Value_, position, range, "")
in
new
in
fnRemoveHTML
And this is how you invoke it:
let
Quelle = Excel.CurrentWorkbook(){[Name="Tabelle1"]}[Content],
Last = Table.AddColumn(Quelle, "Custom", each fn_RemoveHTML([Value], [Index])),
ChangedType = Table.TransformColumnTypes(Last,{{"Custom", type number}})
in
ChangedType
Provided your table is called “Tabelle1” & the column with your values to be replaced “Value” & your index-col “Index”
