how to remove a member from cluster while CQ instances are running? And is there any particular log to check that it got removed?

I might be wrong. AFAIK you do not have the option to remove without shutting down and modfying cluster.properties.
However this usecase would be minimal because before going into production you would have verified your architecture.

How to remove characters/lines from the beginning of an InputStream

Hi,
I have a program which receives several InputStreams. From each of these streams I have to remove 2 lines from the beginning. After the lines are removed, all the streams are combined to one with SequenceInputStream and read in one chunk. Is there an easy/simple way of doing this?
One option I thought would be to read the char by char until 2 end of line chars have been detected and then read the rest of the data to a buffer. And the create a ByteArrayInputStream out of this buffer. Problem with this approach is, that the amount of data can be large, so putting all the data in to memory might cause problems.
Another option is to use BufferredInputStream and use the readline() method twice to get rid of the lines that are not needed. After this I would write the data to some output stream, which is then converted back to input stream. Propably would work, but sound too much of work for a simple thing like this. There has to be better way.
To make it simple, what I need is a method that looks like the following, or something similar
* Removes n number of lines from the beginning of a InputStream.
* @param is InputStream where the lines are removed
* @param numberOfLines int value to indicate how many lines whould be removed
* @return InputStream where lines have been removed.

Could anyone please tell me how to remove a meter from an installation after move-out and if the installation was blocked before move-out.
I was trying to remove the meter from an installation which was blocked before move-out. And if i remove the blocking after move-out, it is still giving me this message that the installation is blocked.

Dear Birendra,
You can NEVER remove a Device (for Billing Related or FULL removal), since you need to save a Removal read while doing the removal. Hence, you can not create a MR ( Reason 01/02/03/06/16/17/21/22), without a Active contract. This is a Basic Metering Rule.
You will have to do the removal on the same day of the Move out.

Yeah, I remember someone posted that solution a long time
ago. It seems if you load a file with the same name the cache
doesn't
know any better and adjusts the download size to the smaller
one. Maybe it's a good way to do it! Could it be a way to remove an
mp3 from someone's cache after it plays? hmmmm Will have to
do more testing.

          We are experiencing some JMS problems connected with a cluster node being
          hung for some time.
          The following took place just before the problem arises:
          1. First of all one of the nodes (the first) gets one thread
          (weblogic.jms.backend.BEPushRequestSender@76512c) stuck.
          2. After that it closes the TCP connection to another node and
          3. Removes another node from its cluster view.(that is alive)
          4. After that the second node removes the first from its cluster
          view.
          5. Seconds later they find each other again and add each other to the
          cluster view.
          6. After that, the JMS distributed members are connected to each other,
          7. Something strange happens, because either the first node starts
          missing many messages in its distributed topic member or the second
          node doesn't propagate messages from distributed topic to the first
          node.
          Is it possible to set up weblogic cluster in a way, it won't remove
          other members from cluster view by peer gone exception, only by
          heartbeat timeout? Is heartbeat retry time parameter is configurable?
          Any help with this matter will be greatly appreciated.

You must run the update node list for each ORACLE_HOME on that machine. If this is RAC, the runInstaller will take care to update all nodes, so again, you run it once per ORACLE_HOME installed.
Shared Home is a single copy of the Oracle software, rather than each node holding their own copy of the software. There's a paper that talks about these two topics and gives some examples of full commands on OTN:

In my knowledge the SD card slot doesnt has a any additional helps like the PCMCIA slot to remove the card.
You have to remove it simply. Try to grab the card and move it out. You can try to use the pair of tweezers. Maybe it helps
