How to remove special Charecters
Hi
I have a internal table having text 900 charecters.
Hacving Special Charecters also (like !,@,# etc)
Here I need to remove all special charecters only from internal table itab.
Can you please tell me the logic?
REPLACE, FIND and SPLIT Statements sometimes doesnot work while Working on Special Characters.
Instead Convert all the 900 characters into HEXADECIMAL codes and Replace the Special characters ( find Hex codes of each Special Character ) with Space(Hex code = 20) .
After Replacing all the Special Characters , Convert all the Characters back to Normal Text.
You can use the Function module ''HR_KR_STRING_TO_XSTRING' to Convert TEXT to Hexadecimal String and
FM 'HR_KR_XSTRING_TO_STRING' to convert back Hexadecimal String to TEXT format
You can use the following link to find the Hex code of each Character

Sql: remove special characters
Hello!
maybe someone has a hint for me how to remove special characters such as tab/new line characters from columns?
Thanks in advance!
TiberiusHmm... actually it's straight forward:
drop table mytexts
create table mytexts (comment varchar(50))
insert into mytexts values ('This is a standard text!')
insert into mytexts values ('There comes a TAB <--')
insert into mytexts values ('This is called a newline
<--<')
select * from mytexts
COMMENT
--------------------------------------------------
This is a standard text!
There comes a TAB <--
| This is called a newline
<--< |
3 rows selected (1375 usec)
sqlcli db770=> select replace (replace(comment, ' '), '
> ') as cleaned_comment from mytexts
> ;
CLEANED_COMMENT
--------------------------------------------------
Thisisastandardtext!
TherecomesaTAB<--
Thisiscalledanewline<--<
3 rows selected (1662 usec)
Seems to work...

Mohan MDid you maintain the indiv/ coll indicator as 2 after the creation of planned order / production order? If yes, then re-create the order & then check.
If not, then check in BOM Item details if you have maintained them to be as individual.

If I use CS5 here will it be compatible with CS4 or CS3 at my skool plzz help ive been frustrated with this
Code is code. It doesn't matter which product you use.
i need to know how to remove the rule or class function in CS5
You can't. DW encourages you to use good coding methods, which means using CSS classes and to keep content (HTML) separate from styles (CSS). For example, if you change font-size on p tags like so:
p {font-size: 38px}
Every paragraph will have 38px sized text.
If you want to apply a special style to just a portion of your text, you must define a CSS class name like so:
.foo {
font-size: 38px;
color: red;
HTML:
<p>This is normal paragraph text <span class="foo"> And this is very big and red.</span></p>
This is normal paragraph text And this is very big and red.

Handling Special Characters
check the document :

Depends upon encoding methods handling will differ,
you can use ISO-8859-1 or ISO-8859-2 instead of UTF-8 for some special characters.
