How to resend data if WS down? (file - PI - WS)

Hi all,
I have following scenario:
File -> PI -> Oracle Webservice
My doubt is how to control the error when the call to WS fails? (bc WS is down or whatever..)
Sender CC is setted up to delete file when process finishes. but what happens when data can't reach the target WS ?
How could I resend data again?

If sender CC deleted the file from source but could not reach target WS messages will be persisted in PI.
There is a an automatic retry parameter you might want to set.
The link Iñaki provided has a section about that (II. Errors in Adapter Engine) and refers to XI/PI 7.0.
If you are on some higher version check this link on how to set retry count like described here Properties for Service XPI Adapter: XI - Configuring Process Integration After Installation - SAP Library .
You may also configure retry count on a communication channel basis Re: Changing number of retries and retry interval of messages in Adapter Engine

Hi,
Firstly you will need to place the file(s) in the AL11 path. Then in your infopackage in "Extraction" tab you need to select "Application Server" option. Then you need to specify the path as well as the exact file you want to load by using the browsing button.
If your file name keeps changing on a daily basis i.e. name_ddmmyyyy.csv, then in the Extraction tab you have the option to write an ABAP routine that generates the file name. Here you will need to append sy-datum to "name" and then append ".csv" to generate complete filename.

How to write data to an XML file present under application server

frnds: can ne one tell me, how to write data in to a file, which is present under a application server
Ex: i want to write a string data in to a file test.txt which is present under "http://localhost:8080/<some_webapp>/test.txt"
Note:i have deploted a service<some_webapp> under Tomcat/webapps dir

Very simple. A servlet can writes to that file if it has the good rights.
In the servlet get (or post) method, use a code like this:

here r the step to load transation data from a flat file.......
step:1 create a Flat File.
step:2 log on to sap bw (t.code : rsa1 or rsa13).
and observe the flat file source system icon. i.e pc icon.
step:3 create required info objects.
3.1: create infoarea
     (infoObjects Under Modeling > infoObjects (root node)-> context menu -
> create infoarea).
3.2: create char /keyfig infoObject Catalog.(select infoArea ---.context menu --->create infoObject catalog).
3.3:   create char.. infoObj and keyFig infoObjects accourding to ur requirement and activate them.

How to read data chanels from a file?

Hi,
I have some .CSV files, that have inside tree chanels( load force; opening force;travel distance) captured from two motors.
I want to load more CSV files and analyze only two chanels ( opening force and travel distance) and send them to a report (travel distance to X-axis, and Opening force to Y-axis), but in the report to be all the chanels from all the CSV files that I loaded. ( to do a multi-load)
My question is how can I read from the csv files the chanels that I am interested and then analyze them?
I use this exemple from HELP to load the data:

I'm very pleased that the "CSV" DataPlugin that ships with DIAdem enabled you to load your data files, that's one step down. I think I understand what you mean by "I don't know how to split the csv file to get only the chanels that I want". I think you want to load only the last 2 channels from each selected CSV file. Here's how to do that-- first select the CSV files you want to load in the NAVIGATOR, then run the following VBScript

I have built an android hybrid app with AppBuilder whitch retrieves data from a json file. How can i refresh the json file with new data?
Is there any way to update the apk file in a device after new data entry in json?

            I have done an application on how to export the table data into an Excel .
Now i want to get the data from an Excel file which is located in server and display that data which is in excel in a View for example a Sample view in Webdynpro .
In Sample view i took a uielement textview to display the data ....
can any one help how to procced further

How to import data from a text file into a table

Hello,
I need help with importing data from a .csv file with comma delimiter into a table.
I've been struggling to figure out how to use the "Import from Files" wizard in Oracle 10g web-base Enterprise Manager.
I have not been able to find a simple instruction on how to use the Wizard.
I have looked at the Oracle Database Utilities - Overview of Oracle Data Pump and the Help on the "Import: Files" page.
Neither one gave me enough instruction to be able to do the import successfully.
Using the "Import from file" wizard, I created a Directory Object using the Create Directory Object button. I Copied the file from which i needed to import the data into the Operating System Directory i had defined in the Create Directory Object page. I chose "Entire files" for the Import type.
Step 1 of 4 is the "Import:Re-Mapping" page, I have no idea what i need to do on this page. All i know i am not tying to import data that was in one schema into a different schema and I am not importing data that was in one tablespace into a different tablespace and i am not R-Mapping datafiles either. I am importing data from a csv file.
For step 2 of 4, "Import:Options" page, I selected the same directory object i had created.
For step 3 of 4, I entered a job name and a description and selected Start Immediately option.
What i noticed going through the wizard, the wizard never asked into which table do i want to import the data.
I submitted the job and I got ORA-31619 invalid dump file error.
I was sure that the wizard was going to fail when it never asked me into which table do i want to import the data.
I tried to use the "imp" utility in command-line window.
After I entered (imp), i was prompted for the username and the password and then the buffer size as soon as i entered the min buffer size I got the following error and the import was terminated:

Please show me the easiest way to import a text file into a table. How complex could it be to do a simple import into a table using a text file?
We are testing our application against both an Oracle database and a MSSQLServer 2000 database.
I was able to import the data into a table in MSSQLServer database and I can say that anybody with no experience could easily do an export/import in MSSQLServer 2000.
I appreciate if someone could show me how to the import from a file into a table!

          I have 20 different text files in a single folder and 20 different tables corresponding to each text file in SQL Server 2008 R2 Database. I need to extract the data from each text file and
load the data into corresponding table in Sql Server Database. Please guide me in how many ways I can do this and which is the best way to implement this job. Actually I have to automate this job. Few files are in same format(with same column names
and datatypes) where others are not.
1. Do I need to create 20 different projects ?
               or
    Can I implement this in only one project by having 20 packages?
             or
    Can I do this in one project with only one package?

Hey Scripting Guys,
As stated by the name I'm a novice at scripting. Typically I'm able to resolve most of my scripting challenges by reading through your site or scouring the internet. This challenge I haven't been able to resolve. Please help!!
I'm running a script (posted below) to grab data and export it to a csv file. My challenge is that I want to run the script daily via task manager and have it create a new csv file either daily or weekly. I'm having trouble with the scripting
creating a new csv file. How do I resolve this?
It would be beneficial to append the date to a standard file name, ex. c:\exportedcsv7-11-2014.csv; the next day it would be c:\exportedcsv7-12-2014.csv; and so on.

Here a variable is being created using the Get-Date cmdlet, if we execute $d the date will appear
$d.ToString('dd-MM-yyyy')
This converts the date into the format dd-MM-yyyy.
I took the information and tips you provided then came up with this after reading about strings.

The double quotes evaluate the variables. The single quotes do not evaluate anything they just show what's inside of them (a.k.a. literal string). The $() evaluate the expression in ('MM-dd-yyyy') before writing it.

you can create a method to populate the context attribute that you are using to map to your dropdown box.
DATA: node_info TYPE REF TO if_wd_context_node_info.
DATA: it_table TYPE wdr_context_attr_value_list.
** select your dropdown data into it_table and pass it to your context attribute.
** here, mine is call PROJ_TYPE - the values should appear in your dropdown.
node_info->set_attribute_value_set(
name = 'PROJ_TYPE'
value_set = it_table ).
