We have EBS 11.5.10.2 on 9.2.0.8 db. the Accrual Reconciliation Rebuild Manager program always stuck on wait event PL/SQL lock timer. I want to know how to resolve the wait event. I use below query to identify wait

Many concurrent managers in eBusiness Suite implement "sleeps" so that they they wake up to check fnd_concurrent_requests every N minutes.
I would ignore this wait event (but i would check to see that the managers don't have very short sleeps and aren't scanning the requests queue too frequently and/or that there aren't too many manager processes doing such).

BTW: Are you very sure that the waits are in the program "Accrual Reconciliation Rebuild Manager" ? It seems to be a Manager to me.

There are multiple issues here ...
i.Why are you maintaining both IT2005 and IT2011 at the same time.OT calculation can be done through IT2011 solely...
ii.Anyway if you still want to write a rule yu can try as per the spec given below:
1. Generate a custom Time Type say 9999
2. Make a rule like OUTTPERTYP if P20 then SCOND=T IF otherwise SCOND=F IF.
3. If SCOND=T IF then write a rule saying that HRS=PEND
4.HRS-SWTE
5.ADDDB9999
6.ELSE SCOND=F IF VARSTP2005 (Entry exists if Y then check 9999..if 9999 is not ZERO then Kill the time types of P2005)
7.Otherwise Pass On...do nothing..

How can I generate a single timer event in a loop?

I have a simple PID script running inside of a timed loop to control a heating process. It works perfectly except that I cannot find a clean way to start the timer when it reaches the setpoint.
Right now, the loop just runs for a set amount of time (e.g., thirty minutes). I want it to run for a set amount of time after the heating reaches the setpoint. I can think of several ways to fudge this, for example with a couple of shift registers and a case structure or with a second loop, but these options seem very clunky.
I am sure there is a better way. Can I somehow create an event within the loop that only happens once, for example, to give a timer value one time when a boolean value changes and never rewrite it?

You could keep the boolean value in a shift register or a feedback node. You then need a little bit of logic to check to see if the boolean changed from false to true. From there, you can put in your get timer inside of a case structure.

Query WLI Timer Event Generator's status

Hi guys,
I am using WLI 10.3. Does anyone know how to query the status of Timer Event Generator programatically?
I am able to create and start the timer programatically through JMX and WebLogicDeploymentManager but not getting the status
of timer. It doesn't even look like this is possible through TimerEventGenRuntimeMBean or am I missing something?

Ok, you can basically leave the messageType as XML
and for the Timer EG configuration, for the optional message you can add <dummy/> this will fire the request and start a workflow or whatever is bound to the channel.

I have an issue syncing my iPhone 4 with itunes. This has only happened the last few times i have tried but don't know how to resolve it. Please help.

Hi, the last few times i have tried to sync my iPhone 4 to my itunes it won't work. I plug my phone into my computer, to sync any new pictures i have taken or add my new music i have bought on my phone, and hit sync. It appears to start syncing then an error message appears saying the following:
The iPhone 'my iPhone' cannot be synced. You do not have enough access privileges for this operation.
I'm not sure what this means or why this keeps happening. I have the latest iTunes and i have not done anything different. It appears to have wiped some of my music from my iPhone and a number of my photo albums off. Please can someone help or advise how i resolve this issue. Thanks.

When you set up iOS7 the second screen specifically asks that you create a four digit code .
That's what you now need to re-enter in your phone.
Once entered you can go to system/general/Passcode lock
Re-enter the same code and choose turn Passcode off

Change SQL of VO, but the attribute don't change, how to resolve?

I use Jdev p4045639 with OAF 5.7
I create a VO for query with sql. later I add some new column for the base table(view), and change the sql of the VO.
Everything seems ok but the attribute won't be added and the mapping would be mismatch between columns and ViewAttribute.
How to resolve this?
At first time I didn't find this mismatch and it would cause SQL statement error when do the executeQuery method in VO. And this exception can't be caught in the VO java code so that I even can't see the complete error stack.
I used higer version of Jdev and OAF, remember don't have similiar error. Can anyone tell me how to resolve this?

Hi Scott,
Please open the VO by double clicking on it in JDeveloper.
Click on Attributes in left panel.
Remove all the attributes from right panel.
Click on the SQL in left panel
Paste your query, test and then click on attribute mappings. It will work

I suspect you may have a corrupt photo or image that is causing the sync to fail or quit. You might want to try removing all of your photos by deselecting them in iTunes then sync - and try adding them by each sub-folders until you are able to nail down which sub-folder of photos, that causes the sync to stop or gives you errors.

How can I change the reminder time of an all day event?

How can I make an all day event remind me the evening before. The only reminder options are 9:00 the day of (which is too late) or 9:00 the day before (which gives you a whole day to forget about it). Why can I not select when I want a reminder? I have tried both alert tab in the event itself, and the default alert setting under settings/mail, contacts, calendars/default alert times.

THis is what I do, and it works for me.....I create two entries. Yes, it is extra work, but it works. The first one is the all-day event. I set that to remind me the day before and two days before.
Then the second entry I set a time on the day, and in the Title Box, I put "reminder about "insert date here". Then I set that to remind me according to hour(s) or minutes before.
IF I want a reminder inconsistent with those, I simply set the start date/time for the actual hour I want to be reminded, even if it is say "11:00pm the night before" when it goes off, I just reset it using the roll thing to the next date/time that I want it to go off.
I am a newbie and still have my old-fashioned paper planner, fully filled out, but find the calendar feature of the iPhone so absolutely useful. As well as the notes. Mainly when I am out and about. I used to tote my book around, now I just enter it on my phone, make myself a note, and then enter the info in my book later on. Paperless society, I doubt that'll happen, but technological devices sure fit in your pocket more easily...
BTw- have you noticed that if you put in a birthday of a contact in Contacts, it will show up in your calendar with a little present icon?

Thanks for that suggestion - could not get it to work. However, I did manage a different approach. I finally determined the sequence of events in terms of how the various events and listeners fire (I think).
Basically, the CalendarActivityListener fires, followed by the listener associated with the Calendar object's Create facet, followed finally by the CalendarEventListener - the final is where the TriggerEvent is available and then finally, control is passed to the popup/dialog in the Create facet. So, my approach of trying to set/get the TriggerDate in the user's HTTP session was doomed to failure because it was being get before it had been set :(
Anyway, I ended up adding a bit of code to the CalendarEvent listener - it grabs the current BindingContext, navigates through the DCBindingContainer to derive an Iterator for the ViewObject which drives the calendar and then grabs the currently active row. I then do a few tests to make sure we're working with a "new" row because I don't want to alter start & end dates associated with an existing calendar entry and then I define the Start and End dates to be the Trigger Date.
Works just fine. Snippet from the listener follows
