How to restrict the width in selection screen,

HI all,
Can anyone help me in solving this issue. i am not able to remove the horizontal scroll bar in my selection screen. i gave line-size as 200 if i reduce it the entire program is getting colapsed. is there anyother way of restricting the width of the selection screen.

Hi Guhapriyan,
If your (horizontal) scrollbar is displaying, then two things need to be considered:
1. The width of the screen (and in some manner the screen resolution).
2. The total length of number of controls (e.g. inputfields), texts and spaces between them.
In case of too many controls you'll need to understand, that dispite SAP shows texts on your screen in a proportional format, actually internally it uses a fixed format. Therefore a text of 132 characters long showing on a 80 'column' width screen will show almost all the text AND a horizontal scrollbar.
To solve it you need to keep track of lengths and positions.
Important: The standard width of a selection screen is 80 characters. You must modify your 1000 screen via transaction SE80 (and prevent regeneration).

By selection screen, what do you mean? There is no selection screen in WDA as there was in classic dynpro. Do you mean you are using the Select-Options reusable component? Are you wanting to call a standard transaction via ITS - SAPGUI for HTML? Please provide more details to your question.

i have a requirement regarding screen programming. i have added a i/o field in a screen and i linked a search help for that field.
i used the standard search help it holds some 15 values for selection...
when i click on the search help i m getting some 15 values for selection. but i dont need all the 15 values. i need only 4 values for selection..can any one help me regarding this...

In call transaction function module you must set parametr id value in function module 'ZT11'
then it will accesible to you program using get parameter.

I am having Query-A (Contains 4 variables, among those, one is mandatory and one is Replacement Variable)
Using Replacement Variable am calling Query-B (Contain one mandatory Variable).
Now when am executing Query-A, in Variable screen its shows

Query-B--Mandatory Variable. (like this)
But i need the Query-B--Mandatory Variable to be position in top. how to achieve this.

How to restrict the user in MIRO for not modifying price

My requirement is How to restrict the users in MIRO screen for not modifying Material Prices of only the for specific ROH types .
For example :
Valuation class             RM description
3021                             RM - A
3022                             RM - B
3024                             RM - C
when ever we procure the above Raw materials A,B and C and
the Quantity of each Raw material @ 10 units and value @ 1 INR for each unit
RM - A procured qty 10 @1 total price is INR 10
RM - B procured qty 10 @1 total price is INR 10
RM - C procured qty 10 @1 total price is INR 10
total price of PO is INR 30
when we received invoice material prices are assume it INR 1 is excess for each material.Now the invoice price for each RM has become INR 11.
in MIRO we want restrict the user to change the price from INR 10 to 11.
suggest the best possible ways to restrict in MIRO screen

Can you pls let me know , how to position the cursor in selected selection-screen filed. My requirement is i have 3 selection-screen fields, By default cursor is positioned on field screen field, but i want the cursor to be positioned at 3rd screen field to enter input, i want to do this coz i am filling first 2 screen fields with default values, so i need to position the cursor at 3 rd screen filed. let me know if it is possible to achieve this.

How to accept multiple attachments on selection screen?

I need to know how to accept multiple attachments on selection screen and send them as email to external system (outlook).
Basically, my req is to send a common email with attachments to certain users. These users are displayed in ALV. User will select ALL or specific user from ALV and send an email with message entered on selection screen.
I used text editor control to input message body. I need to know how to accept attachments and send them.

SAP uses a nifty little button called 'Object Services' on ME23N (top left) which you can use to attach documents to business objects.

Yes, sa38 makes it possible indeed to execute in background into immediate mode a job but
the user have to know the name of the program to be carried out ...
The user knows only the name of these transactions trade. For example, IW38.
In the menu of this transaction, SAP gives the possibility to execute in background :
Program --> Execute in Background --> display of Start Time screen for the type of start condition :
Immediate, Date/Time, After job, After event, or At operation mode).
It is at this time there that we want that the user can only choose the "immediate" mode.
We must thus prohibit the other choices (Date/Time, After job, After event, or At operation mode) ... and
and we don't know how to restrict these other options in this screen "Start Time screen for the type of start condition".
