How to retrieve member ID usig EV function

Hi Expert
How do I get list of ENTITY dimension member list using EV function
output to be listed in excel cell.
I TRIED USING
=EVLST("FAB","FBENTITYCOSTCENTER",,B32:B35,"ID",TRUE,TRUE)
B32 TO B35 IS RANGE
It just returns TRUE. .

Just information, maybe you forgot to use the EVSET function. the example of EVLST likes:
=EVLST("Finance","Entity",EVSET("WorldWide1","SELF_AND_BEFORE",99,TRUE,),J21:J28,"RptCurrency",TRUE,FALSE)
and the example of EVSET likes:
=EVSET(B1,B2,"SELF_AND_BEFORE",99,TRUE,EVPXR("Entity","SalesUS","Currency") & "=""USD""")
Notes:
1. the "SELF_AND_BEFORE" statement could change EVBAS/EVBASS/EVDEP

does someone know how to retrieve t-id of a function called in background (tRFC) client side? I found
'ARFC_GET_RECEIVER_TID'

but these works server side (function called knows its t-id .. caller no). Is there some similiar client side so that after calling function I can retrieve its transaction id ? I know it's not the same context, for explaining better, what I need it's something like fork() in C, where process father (the one that forks) receive as return value process id of process forked.
SEARCHING ON FORUM I see that many people answered on question about transaction id with sy-tcode misunderstanding the question. This transaction id it's not the tcode. This is the char 32 unique transaction code

How to retrieve the BRF+ function result data object of type table in ABAP

I am calling a BRF+ function from Abap....If the result data object of the function is element then i am able to get the value back in ABAP...Suppose the result data object of the function is of table type,I couldnt retrieve the value....Can you please help me how to retrieve the table data object value of the function from abap....

I understand that if i know the data type of the result data object which i am going to get i can declare it my ABAP program and get the values....But i am developing a generic program which calls the various BRF+ functions based on the function id...So i am not aware what is the data type of the result data object....so is there a any way to handle this situation...Please advice...

I used the GET_DATA_OBJECT_STRUCTURE method of class CL_FDT_FUNCTION_PROCESS to get the data object structure...i am able to get whether it is an element or structure or internal table...
But is there any way to get the data type of the object...For example if it is going to be an element of type BELNR_D,is it possible to get the BELNR_D value in my program...Please advice...

To display, make use of JSTL's c:forEach.

Create a table with a Long RAW Datatype column for storing the Image Column Data.
Create the form based on the table , which by defaults the column with LONG RAW atatype to a Image Item.
You can use Forms Built in function READ_IMAGE_FILE to read a Image file stored on the file system in to the image item.
A save on the form saves the image in the Image item in the long raw column.

How to retrieve the vendor number during creation of Purchase Order?

Dear SAP experts,
For our Purchase Orders, during PO creation (t-code ME21 or ME21N) we want to achieve the following:-
1) default the delivery address to our plant A address if the vendor is local and
2) default the delivery address to our plant B address if the vendor is foreign.
At the moment, we are trying to use the user exit enhancement "MMDA0001" to achieve the above.
The problem is how to retrieve the vendor number from the screen so we could pass the vendor number to ZXM06U32 to check the ktokk field in LFA1 table in the whether the vendor is foreign or local.

u can do one thing, create 2 partner function, like 1 for local, and second for import vendor.
or make 2 batch n activate vendor batch and make mandatory field from SPRO.
then goto SHD0, and do one by one step. first time take 1st requirement and second time take second . like that make two variant .
i dont know how much it will be helpful. bt i want to suggest smth like that only.

I didn't seen any other answers but here's how it's been done previously in our organization for a custom BAPI. In this example, we give material and language to return the part description. It's not specific to your project but may give you ideas..

How can I use User-Defined Aggregate Functions in Timesten 11? such as ODCI

Hi
we are using Timesten 11 version and as per the documentation, it doesn't support User-Defined Aggregate Functions.
So we are looking for alternatives to do it. Could you please provide your expert voice on this.

You absolutely right, TimesTen doesnt support object types (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E13085_01/doc/timesten.1121/e13076/plsqldiffs.htm) and User-Defined Aggregate Functions.
Is it crucial for your application? Could you rewrite this functionality by using standart SQL or PL/SQL?

How to retrieve the java object in a proxy service in osb -- Plz help

Hi all,
I have a singleton java class which runs whenever the weblogic server gets started and store the output in its object. I need to access this java object from a proxy service in osb.
We tried using java call out and retrieved that object but we couldn't know how to parse that object into XML.
We are not sure of using the java call out in osb to solve this purpose because whenever we use a java callout, that particular java code will run which is not the case of singleton class.
So kindly help us how to retrieve the java object which holds the output without running the java code every time because its already run and holding the output in its object.

but I guess you are already at the stage of getting a POJO in a first Java Callout and passing the POJO to a second Java Callout, which should then return it to OSB as a XMLObject.
My recommendation is to write a Java function which returns a XMLObject and uses a XMLCursor to populate it with the values of the POJO.
An XMLObject returned to the OSB is automatically transformed in a "XML" variable (which in reality is represented as a XMLObject in the Pipeline context)

T.code FF7A - How to retrieve items posted before linking the GL account to

Hi Experts,
While executing the T.code FF7A, postings that have been created before making the link between the GL account and the cash position grouping are not retrieved to the report.
Does anyone know how to retrieve those past postings on FF7A report ?

There are a couple options depending on the additional details of your situation....
Within t-code FDFD, there is a button labeled Data Setup. This button is intended for use when cash management (CM) is activated for an existing company code and CM needs to be updated with transactions created prior to the activation. It deletes all data in cash management for the Co.Cd. and then builds the CM data for all GL, customer and vendor accounts. There are also options to update CM for other areas (Sales, Procurement, Treasury, etc.)
Also within t-code FDFD, there is a button labeled Correct Data. This button can be used instead of the Data Setup button, if the CM data for a particular area needs to be corrected. This function has the following options: All GL accounts, All GL accounts with open items, All GL accounts w/o open items (non-open item managed accounts), All Customers/Vendors, All Customers, All Vendors.
It's best to run these functions when transactions are not being created on the system.

Can some one share their knowledge on how an attached document is retreived using CV03N->doc. data tab.I want to know the logic behind the attachment retrieval. Is ther a function module that pulls the file or any standard tables that conatin them.

We are trying to develop a program to get a list of all documents of certain doc. type from DRAW table,retrieve all the attachments for these docs ,read these attachment files- to validate data, merge them into a single file.
from some analysis I've done to achieve this, I think we'll have to use BAPIs :BAPI_DOCUMENT_GETLIST2 and BAPI_DOCUMENT_CHECKOUTVIEWX to get the docs list and read the files.But, I am not really sure how to proceed further once we get the attachments, Can you plz share your thoughts on this . I'd appreciate your help.

I am asking, given a specific message ID, how can I retrieve the conversation id for that message ID on the ABAP stack - e.g. with a function module, what table names etc.
