How to retrive new logical column based on flag values in table.

Hi,
i have two tables in rpd
1.file table contains the coulmns------->date,file_count,record_count,cldm_stg,cmsa_stg,archive_stg
2.rejection table columns---------> are same as above
both have same common columns.my requirement is publish a dashboard like:
date | land_files count |alnd_recordscount| target_files count|target_records count|Rejection filecount|rejection record count
These report ineed retrive from those two tables.based on flag values.taget countcomes when all stg values set to ='y'
i.e(cldm_stg='y' and cmsa_stg='y'and archive_stg='y') if not then it will be in rejection file.
Please give solution how to achive my output.

and i create one new tablecalled target in bmm layer taking logical source as file_control(fact table). and iset the where clause for the new table.and i create a new measure called target_file and target_records.in where clause my query is like

I have a tried following formula. It is working, but result is not filtered.
I filtered "PAYMENTS"."SUM_PAY_AMOUNT" and "DW"."SUM_PLAN_MONTH_AMOUNT" columns.
"PAYMENTS"."SUM_PAY_AMOUNT" / "DW"."SUM_PLAN_MONTH_AMOUNT" * 100Can you share me some tutorial?

New Logical Column w/Case Statement

OBIEE 11g
I have a created a logical column in the BMM that I would like to display a certain output if certain criteria are met. I have a case statement like the following:
CASE WHEN COLUMN1 = 'Honda'
AND COLUMN2 = 'Accord'
THEN 'Sedan' ELSE NULL END
However when I run a report in Answers with just the new logical column created it is not showing any values. I have validated that in the dimension table there are rows that meet the above criteria.

I dont see anything wrong in the condition, I've tried with similar case for both based on logical columns and physical columns.
Can you check the physical query for the same to see how its executing?
Between: I think you can go with COLUMN2 to define the type of vehicle is? values you might have used for example, but the more specific column is enough to define the type.

New Logical Column Datatype

I am trying to add a new logical column to the BMM layer. But by default the data type is showing as UNKNOWN and is grayed out. How can i change it? I am trying to perform a calculation on the new column added.

Hi,
user10797474 is correct. It takes the default datatype depending on your logic. So in the properties of the column, check the "Use existing columns as source" and then click the button with the three dots. Then create your logic in this expression builder. Select the columns and formulas from the list so you do not have to type them. Once you save from the expression builder, the default datatype should be set.

Hi All,
How can I Display or Hide a Column based on Prompt Value selected?
On my dashboard I have a Report/Request and a Dashboard Prompt.
Dashboard Prompt has three values, say: *'A', 'B' and 'C'*.
And my report/request has three columns named *'Field1', 'Field2'* and Field3'.
What I am trying to achieve is that whenever user selects prompt values as *'A' or 'B'* all the three fields on my report named *'Field1', 'Field2' and Field3'* should be displayed, however whenever user selects prompt values as *'C'* only fields named *'Field1' and 'Field2'* should be displayed.

I tried using View Selector, however I am not able to achieve the required functionality with that.
I created a Request with 3 columns in it, then I switched to criteria and added another table to that. The new table automatically got the similar 3 columns used in the first report. Now when I tried to delete one of those columns from the new report, it also got deleted from the first report.
All the views are dependent, changes made to one are reflected in other.
Can't figure it out, where am I going wrong?

looking ADF joins all use rowKey values and i need to know how to generate a standard rowKeyStr based on a value passed to an event, so it let me access any page on my Jsp ADF application and pass some values to a method and get the rowKeyStr.
i have this method actually getting the current row, how i can generate a standard rowKeyStr value.

Limit columns based on variable value

Gurus,
   My requirement;
   User will enter a value "A" in the variable and based on the value i need to limit
   the columns in the output. for example in the query designer i have 6 fields in
   Rows, in Free Chars i have the field with variable which user will enter. if the value
   entered is "A" only 4 fields should appear on the report else if value is "B" only
   the other 2 fields should appear.
   Is there a way accomplish this...please suggest

Are u using the Excel based Analyzer as your Front End?
If so you can run a small VBA (on event SAPBEXonrefresh) that will hide columns based on the value of the cell that displays the value of the variable that the user is setting.

My specific requirement is i have an input field on the screen and i want reflect that value as the column label for one of the column in the alv table. I have used he above code with slight modification in the MODIFYVIEW method of the view since it is a process after input. The component gets activated without any errors but while run time i get an error stating

i have checked in debugging and the error occured at the statement :

I found it myself how to do it. The error says that it is not able to find the reference object i.e it is asking us to refer to the table. The following piece of code will solve this problem. Have to implement this in WDDOMODIFYVIEW method of the view. This thing works comrades enjoy...

I'm developing an WF that must be started when the user makes any change in a employee position. The problem is that this change can be made by many transactions, I know that it´s possible to do it by PA30/PA40, and today it´s made here using PP01. The Functional Consultant said to me that the better way to map all possible trasactions which made that kind of changes in an employee data is by adding new "Logical Funcion codes" (or Activities) for our specif subinfotypes.
The table that contains such information is T77FLC. How can I add that new activities for a subinfotype, by a costumizing or just adding new entries in this table?

You can configure your own workflow events based on HR objects/infotypes/subtypes/update type/activity type combinations using transaction SWEHR3. Look at SWEHR2 for the standard events to get some idea of what you need to enter in SWEHR3.
The relationship between the infotype and the matching business object type is held in SWEHR1.

In BMM Layer i have 2 Fact Tables with Different Sources .
Fact - Fact1
X1
Fact - Fact2
Y1
But now I want to create Logical Column in 'Fact - Fact 2' as follows
Z1 = X1 + Y1
But Once aftre cretaion of that Column , from the Report side i can able to see the data only if the report contains Z1 Attribute alone.
But if the report contains any other attribute along with Z1... that Z1 doesnt have any Data .. its Blank.
How can i resolve this issue ?

I have an input parameter which takes single numeric value.
Based on this value i have to dynamically select table-columns .
For eg: if i have following fields in my table :
SEM_1
SEM_2
SEM_3 and SEM_4.
And if i give numeric input as 2 , then i have to select "SEM_2" column only.
if the input is 3 then i have to select "SEM_3" only and leave the rest of the columns.
