How to run other sline.exe in forms

Dear sir,
I have one package which is developed in c or c++ dosbased. when i run through dos prompt it show s the new windows and i have press f1 key and accpect the data from com port and accecpt the data and write to x.file . then i am taking this data by writing text.io function and code.
I need how to run this exe file in forms
please guide me

I'm not sure how you can get the installation directory, but you can obtain the OS type by using
System.out.println(System.getProperty("os.name"));
Then maybe you deduce the directory from there? For the list of properties available try this:
System.getProperties().list(new java.io.PrintStream(System.out));

i have a data in csv file. i want to upload it to my database. i am using sql loader for it.
i have made a batch file which run the sql loader and transfer my data to database.
How to run batch file from oracle forms 9i.
when i press the button, nothing uploads in my database. (when i simply run the batch file it works).

When you receive a form data event you have a class containing inside it a ObjectKeys xml info regarding the object added/modified,...
With the objects keys you can then use the DI API method called GetByKeys to obtain the DI Object.
There is some information about it in the SDK Help file, mainly in the "FormDataEvent" class definition:
The event provides the unique ID (BusinessObjectInfo.ObjectKey) of the modified business object. You can use the value of this property as an input parameter in the DI API DataBrowser.GetByKeys method to get a DI object.
Pay attention you don't have this information in the Before=True event of the Add as it is not yet in the database.

You need the Application Builder installed (before 8.0 - Tools>>Build Application..., in 8.x building should be part of the project).
If you don't have it, you can purchase it seperately from NI.
To learn more about LabVIEW, I suggest you try searching this site and google for LabVIEW tutorials. Here, here, here, here and here are a few you can start with and here are some tutorial videos. You can also contact your local NI office and join one of their courses.

Dear Smercurio,
           Thanks for the good one, but it still requires the windows XP or later OS, when i extract the software, it gives me this error.
           Even Fire Daemon software (same one provided by Alessio in this post) is also running the same, and we even dont have to make it Automatic to start at boot up time, it automatically creates the automatic service which also runs at boot time, so not to worry about anything.

How to run a 10g Report from form in client using OC4J

Hi,
Every time we make a report, in order to test it we have to deploy in application server.
In our application we make the report is written as a PDF in the server and shown in the client browser using WEB.SHOW_DOCUMENT.
Is there a way we can do this in the development environment?
Like this: I create a report (i.e. RDF). Now in my development machine I want the form (we use a Oracle Form as a parameter form, not the Reports para form) to have a button, and when I press this button the report has to run, create the PDF in my machine and show it my client browser.
How to do it using OC4J??

Steps to take.
(1.) In command prompt type RWSERVER SERVER=repserver1 to star the rep server.
(2.) If you get "Javaw.exe The procedure entry point psoasyn could not be located in the dynamic link library orapls10.dll." error do one of the following
        (a.) Type the full name for the server. D:\OracleDevR2\bin\rwserver SERVER=repserver1
               or, if it does not work
        (b.) Add D:\OracleDevR2\bin to the system env. variable PATH
(3.) Start OC4j
(4.) Now you can access the jobs using URL like:
    http://192.161.11.143:8890/reports/rwservlet/showjobs?server=repserver1
      where 192.161.11.143 is your machine's IP address.
