How to run sapui5 components in a native dynpro?

Hello,
I like to run sapui5 components in a native Dynpro - is that principle possible? For first example i want to implement the description from this site http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-48653 (How to Create and Run a Simple SAPUI5 Application from Scratch within 20 Seconds) via HTML-View in a native ABAP-Dynpro:
This is, what I have done till now:
- Dynpro with CustomContainer
- PBO for dynpro: create object instanz for  cl_gui_custom_container and  cl_gui_html_viewer
- Tx SMW0 - WebRepository: HTML-Template for my site (html code see example above)
- Tx SMW0 - WebRepository: Binäry data for sapui5 javascript file (here I used "sap-ui-core-all.js")
When I now start my report do display the html file, the html viewer works, but the button "Hello World" doesn't appear?
Here my questions:
- is it principle possible to use sapui5 components in a custom container with html viewer in a native ABAP-Dynpro?
- what ist the best way (where ist best place) for storing the needed sapui5 files?
- which sapui5 files are needed?
At the end, I only want to show charts e.g. with the MaKit-control in a custom container with html viewer!
Thanks a lot for every hint or tip!
Best regards
martin

After adding/removing components to/from a panel try:
panel.revalidate();
panel.repaint() // sometimes this is also needed, I'm
not sure whyI'm not certain, but I think that panel.revalidate() implicitly calls repaint() only if something actually changed in the layout. If nothing changed, it sees no reason to repaint; hence, if something changed in appearance but not in layout, you have to repaint it yourself.
Or something like that. I'm no expert. ;)

  • How to transport SAPUI5 components from ABAP repo

    Hi All,
    Please suggest me how can I move the SAPUI5(deployed in ABAP repo) apps from Dev system to QA .
    Thanks in advance
    Rajesh

    Hi Rajesh,
    once the SAPUI5 application is deployed to ABAP server, it is stored as BSP application under transport request (refer my blog How to Deploy and Run SAPUI5 application on ABAP Server for more details).
    You need to follow usual process of moving this TR to Quality and production.

  • How to run native program with Java program?

    Hello
    I've got following problem. I'd like to write file browser which would work for Linux and
    Windows. Most of this program would be independent of the system but running programs not. How to run Linux program from Java program (or applet) and how to do it in Windows?.
    Cheers

    Try this:
    Runtime rt = Runtime.getRuntime();
    Process proc = rt.exec("ls -l");
    InputStream stream = proc.getInputStream();
    InputStreamReader isr = new InputStreamReader(stream);
    BufferedReader br = new BufferedReader(isr);
    String line = null;
    while ( (line = br.readLine()) != null) .....
    "if the program you launch produces output or expects input, ensure that you process the input and output streams" (http://www.javaworld.com/javaworld/jw-12-2000/jw-1229-traps.html)

  • SAPUI5 Components, Shell doubt

    Hi, I saw a lot of examples about components and all of them are using Shells, and my doubt is about that, is necessary use shell with components?
    Anyone has an example using one component and inside two componentes each with his own view(js or Xml) ?, how can i do that??
    like this example SAPUI5 SDK - Demo Kit but without shell, and with the menu and components products and overview.

    How can I pass components between different JPanels??
    here, ListPanelMain.java is main,
    When I click a tree node in splitPane, I can see all its children on the right splitpane, but I hope they can be seen on another Panel called "ListRightPane.java"
    How to do it??

    out.println(s);
    catch(Exception e) {}
    %>

    I don't have further info to add to your first post, but think your guess seems quite reasonable. I thought of starting a new thread on the same topic, but think this (question) fits in here, too.
    I have Java code (freeware, not opensoure), intended for Unix, which basically provides the graphical interface and relies on an I/O layer (C + shell scripts) to do most of the work. I have access to the C+shell scripts which are opensource. I ported it to Cygwin and want to use it under Windows (there is no Cygwin native Java VM).
    My problem now boils down to " how to run commands under Unix and what differences are there with Windows". What are the variants?
    I have to guess what the program is doing when I get an IOException at some point. E.g.: a call to shell script may be made in a different way as to a compiled exe in Unix?. I found a way to bypass path problems because forward slashes are also accepted and /cygdrive/c construct can be replace by c:/; shell scripts can be compiled into exes using shc and they work; if symbolic links are replaced by duplication of exe files, they work. What will happen in an instance whereby a process runs a shell script dynamically, through a pipe (the shell script is compiled in the Cygwin/win version and receives parameters) in a construct like:
    pipefp = epopen(cmdbuf,"w"); /* (cmbuf is "makehdr par1 par2 ... ") (makehdr was a shell script and is now compiled exe for Cygwin/Windows) */?.
    Thanks.

    I am sorry. I had the false impression that it was commonly known that .exe files did not run on Mac OSX natively and failed to see any constructive critique you were bringing. Maybe I am wrong. Again deepest apologies.
    Unfortunately... these days... not every one is aware of this .exe  fact..

  • Best way to port all Windows XP files, applicaitons and data form my PC over to iMac and how to run those Windows apps on Mac?ns on Mac?

    I have a Windows XP machine with apps, files and data.  I want to get all that over to my Mac, and also run those apps under Windows XP or even Windows 7 on my Mac.  Im wondering:
    1.  How best to get those files over to my Mac
    2.  How to run those apps and use my Windows based files/data on my Mac
    3.  How best to run Windows on my Mac....either partitiion my Mac's hard drive and boot up either Windows or MAC OS, or run some other program where I can easily switch back and forth form Windows to MAC OS, or perhaps get it all on an external hard drive, maybe partition that Windows/MAC OS and boot from that?
    Thanks!

    I agree you would benefit by using virtualizaiton software. Virtual Box is one alternative the commercial apps for doing virtualization are Parallels and VMWare Fusion which you also might be interested in for their support and updates.
    Also you may benefit by book marking and using:
    Mac 101 , Switch 101 & Find Out How Video tutorials
    For your MS Office apps then I'd STRONGLY recommend using the native Office For Mac versions, you can find these on Amazon for less than $100 and then you can run the apps natively rather than having to lean on MS Windows. Also for your Financial and Tax software you also may want to use OS X apps too, for example I used Quicken for over 20 years (PC mostly and some Mac) but switched to iBank. Also for tax software I have used Quicken's Turbo Tax, this also runs natively on OS X.
    In other words for your stated needs I don't see much reason to stay with MS Windows. You may have other considerations, if you do please state them, some may be real issues and some may be easily overcome.

  • How to Run a SCSI Scanner with Firewire In OS X?

    Does anyone know how to run a SCSI scanner with Firewire in Mavericks?
    I have unsuccessfully tried the RATOC FR1SX SCSI-to-Firewire converter. The Ratoc is recognized as a Firewire device in the System Profiler (see pic below). However, the VueScan scanning software does not recognize the scanner.  I know the scanner works because I have been using it in an old HP PC. As such I  installled Windows 7 64 bit via Boot Camp to see if I could use the scanner, but had no luck.
    I have an iMac 21.5-inch, Mid 2010.
    ANY HELP?

    The Mac scanner driver is not seeing it as a native SCSI device assuming VueScan supports the model of scanner you have. (You did not list the scanner model.)
    Other than getting a modern non-SCSI scanner, a possible option would be to get a Thunderbolt PCI expansion chassis and a 'real' SCSI interface card. There is no guarantee this will work though as SCSI has been discontinued in the Mac world for years and years. If you then want to look at a SCSI card for use with the expansion chassis then look at the following.
    Hmm, just looked the AttoTech SCSI cards have been discontinued as well, as I said SCSI is ancient history in the Mac world.

  • How to run a Java EE client application ?

    Greetings,
    I have a Java EE Application Project created with Eclipse (OEPE) and I don't know how to run it ? I asked the question on the OEPE forum but didn't manage to have any pertinent answer. I have also looked at Developing Java EE Application Clients (Thin Clients) in the Programming Stand-alone Clients book and tried to use commands as weblogic.clientDeployer and weblogic.j2eeclient.Main but haven't been able to get them working. And anyway, they are not done to be used in Eclipse as I didn't find any ant tasks for them.

  • How to run a project in java

    hi all
    i am new to jdevelper and adf.
    really i need help i created a project and now i want to run it
    but i do not know how to run it
    my jdeveloper 11g R1 and i also compile the project and its showing me successful compilation
    0-error and 0 warngs....
    plz guide me.

    First things first.
    Do you know how to compile a simple hello word program, get it to compile, and run it in jbuilder? Do you know how to do other basic programming tasks (ignoring iADF for now) in the IDE? If not, you need to concentrate on how to use jbuilder before messing with Oracle ADF (Oracle Application Development Framework). Alternately, if you are very familiar with another IDE such as Eclipse, you can look at ADF plugins for it instead (if they exist). If you are not familiar with Java, its supporing technologies, and an IDE very well, I suggest you drop ADF and work on simpler architectures because ADF is way, way too advanced for you at this time. Instead, spend your time reading books on Java, etc from cover to cover and working through a number of their examples instead.
    Assuming you are an experienced programmer and plan to go ahead with ADF, I suggest you go to amazon.com and order a book on ADF that has good reviews. Read it from cover to cover and work through a number of the book's examples. You should start out with a very very simple ADF project before attempting something more complicated, then build on it. If you are not familiar with some of the components of ADF such as JSF, I suggest you create a few simple projects using them in isolation before combining them all under ADF.

  • How to run oid on oc4j

    Hi All,
    I am new to oc4j. I have configured oid on weblogic and after that on oc4j. But i dont know how to run oid in oc4j. When i shutdown wls_ods1 in weblogic domain,oid doesnt work. So please tell me how to run oid in oc4j and how to check which managed server get deployed in oc4j,like we did in weblogic using "http://localhost:7001". Also whether it is possible to install and configure oid without using weblogic.
    Thanks,

    OC4J is restricted to Application Server 10g only. In FMW11g, OC4J is not used at all.
    When managed server wls_ods1 is not up and running, you won't be able to access the Oracle Directory Services Manager. OID itself should be fully functional as it doesn't require any WebLogic components.
    You can check the status of the OID 11g components with opmn status -l, e.g.
    $ opmnctl status -l
