How to save a word document to word on  ipad

I opened a document from my emails on Microsoft word. I edited the document and now want to save it as the new edited version but how do i do that? If i press the back button i lose everything and i cannot see anything that can help me?
Thank you please help in my problem.

To edit and save word documents you need a document editor. Apple has the Pages app, Micorsoft has their 'free' versions of word for mobile devices (I use the term free loosely because you can download and read for free but if you want to edit and save it requires a yearly subscription to office 365)
Or there are third party document editors out there. I use documents to go (not free ware, around $10-20 I believe) and there are other free document editors.
You would find a document editor of your choosing, save from your mail into that app. Edit, save and then export or 'send' back out of that app to the mail app.

  • How to save a word type file in the reader to read it there?

I have files in .pdf format as well as some MS Word documents.
Can anyone show me how do i need to proceed in order to ssave those files on my Sony PRS 650 Reader?
    Thank you kindly.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hi “getmore”
Here, all the discussion was about MS Word files and PRS-650 e-Reader. The solution was to save MS Word files directly in .RTF format or as one can read in Sony PRS-650  - User Guide (page 121):
    “Supported File Formats
The following file formats can be managed within Reader Library and transferred to your Reader.
    Book
 EPUB file (.epub file extension) EPUB (OPS version 2.0) supported
 PDF file (.pdf file extension) Support is based on the PDF 1.6 specification.
 BBeB (.lrf or .lrx file extension)
 Text file (.txt file extension)
 RTF file (.rtf file extension)
 Word file (.doc or .docx file extension)*1
*1 In case of using Windows, you need Microsoft Word installed on your computer. Word files will be automatically converted to RTF files by Reader Library during transfer to your Reader or a compatible memory card…”
Now for other Sony’s e-Reader models (as PRS-T1/T2), .RTF file type is not supported anymore (supported only epub, pdf and txt file).
In this case one must convert an MS Word file to an epub(best solution for Sony’s readers) or pdf file. There’re too many free software in order to do this.
For me one of the best is Calibre http://calibre-ebook.com/. “…Calibre can convert from a huge number of formats to a huge number of formats. It supports all the major e-book formats. The full list of formats can be found here…” (ebook with “DRM” are NOT supported).

  • Dev 6.0: How to save / read MSWord documents in BLOB ?

    Hi !
Please, give me any hint about how to store MSWord (Excel)
documents in database from Oracle Forms ? In other words, is it
possible to edit documents in MSWord and then save (load) it in
    (from) database ?
    Thanks.

I have stored/Retrieved Word documents in Oracle using a utility
that comes with the ConText Option. Essentially I wrote PL/SQL
to run the utility to get the file out of DB and onto the hard
disk, then another PL/SQL to run the utility to move the file
from hard disk into DB. I think the name of the utility was
    txtio. I hope this helps.

  • How to save a pages document on the ipad2

How do I save a pages document on the ipad2 or how do I print a pages document.  I have a n epson835 on a wireless network.   I can scan or print a web page  from the ipad, but I cannot print from pages. The instruction seems to require saving the pages document, but all I can do is share the document via several methods.
    Thank you
    John McDonald

Tap on the Spanner icon, tap on Share and Print, Tap on Print.
You will also need to have an Air-Print enabled printer and both the printer and ipad must be connected to the same network.  If your printer isn`t Air-Print enabled then there is a work-a-round but you will have to use google to obtain the files and instructions, do a search on google for Air-Print for PC or Air-Print for Mac.
To save a document in Pages for iPad just tap on Documents to take you back to your list of documents and the one you are currently working on will automatically save, you can then tap on the documents name to change it.

  • How to save as Word document, when Pages does not give that option, but only "Save a version"

I cannot save a document in Word or Word-compatible form. The only options I am given in File is "Save a Version," which does not provide for saving in Word. How do I do this?

Use the Export item from the File menu and select Word at the top.
    Best of luck.

  • How to save a word document in Icloud

is there a way to save a Microsoft Word documetn in ICloud? or do I have to purchase IWork ?

Dropbox is a proven tool that even provides a month's worth of incremental backup. It will also warn you if more than one person opens a given document and makes changes at the same time. That warning is important, but it's still a pain to work through the differences if a collision occurs, so that's why I recommend never actually revising an old version, but rather beginning a new one. Mountain Lion makes that easy with Locking and Duplicate.

  • How to save a Pages document as a Word file

I downloaded the new version of Pages hoping for better Word compatibility. To be honest I can't see any difference in the compatibility.
Apple says on their page for Pages 5.0 that you can save Pages documents as Word files. "You can save Pages documents as Word files. Or import and edit Word documents right in Pages." Since they say "save" and not "export", I figured I could treat it like I would in Word. Do I still have to export the document or can I now just save it as a Word file without ending with duplicates?

    You have to Export.

  • How to save MS Word file in Database

    hi everyone,
I want to use MS Word in forms and then save word file in Oracle8i Database. PLease Tell me How to complete this task.
    Many THanks.
    Kashif

Good luck using OLE to modify existing DB stored Word documents. There is a REAL nasty bug in 6i (#2615804) that causes the Forms runtime to crash. There is no bug fix availible, as yet, and it's severely affecting our planned migration to Forms 6i. This has the affect of not allowing us to migrate our DB to 9i since 4.5 is not supported against 9i. Sheesh! Request to Metalink for some type of resolution have been met with replies of "you should try storing your documents on the file system since OLE is not support in Forms 9i or web delivery of 6i.
At this stage, we're looking into alternatives to storing Word documents in the DB. The problem is going to be converting the tens of thousands of documents we already have stored. If it's not too late for you, I'd reconsider storing Word documents in the database.
    My 2 cents,

  • How to save a word file to a pdf

Just bought the Adobe PDF and realize now it does me no good if I cannot convert my word files to PDF.   Can I do this?

You need to install Acrobat. The error normally has the message "Error 1303. The installer has insufficient privileges to access this directory." This suggests that you are not logged in as the administrator and may also not have anti-virus disabled for the install. See if that resolves the issue. The other way to get a PDF out of WORD is to use the MS plugin for creating PDFs (though a bit sloppy as is normal with MS products).

  • How to save a PDF document that I have received

I apologize if this is the wrong group but I know there is a way to save a doc in the print menu but this is a bit different.
I received a pdf doc as an attachment to an email and I need to save it. I am in the Preview window with the doc open and I go to File/Save as. Another window opens and says "Without the owner password, you do not have permission to save this document" I looked at the print window under PDF and it won't let me save a pdf as a pdf.
The sender doesn't have a password.
How do I save this doc?
    Andy

The sender might not have one, but the creator (owner) does. Why do you have to save it? It exists in your attachments folder.

  • How to save a Pages document to upload to the web

I have created a document in Pages '08.  It was designed for print (11" x 17") and 2 pages long.  I saved it both as a pdf and as a png file but the file size is too large to put on our website (maximum 10 mb).  How can I save this file with a reduced file size to upload to our web page?

I am looking in Pages '09, it is possible that is somewhere else in Pages '08 or was only introduced in Pages '09. Look through all of your Menus and in your Pages '08 User Guide.
If it is not there, follow through the other advice which is crop and reduce your images to 72 dpi resolution, preferably as .jpegs, or replace where possible with .pdf vectors both of which form smaller graphics files.
The best solution would be to reconstruct your document asa proper web page so the parts load individually or make a link to the larger .pdf file for people to download.

  • How to save a Pages document so that it can be uploaded to Facebook as a graphic?

    Hi,
I need to make event posters for my job and I use Pages as the layout program to do this.  But when I try to upload a Pages poster design to our Facebook page it will not upload the file.  I am using the "attach photo" option to try to upload the posters but have not been able to do it.  To circumvent this problem I have had to print out the poster, then scan it as a jpeg and then upload it.  A lot of trouble and wasted ink.  Is there a way to upload pages documents to Facebook that I am unaware of?
    I am using Pages '08.
    Thank you for any help.

Other than a PDF, you can't save as an image directly from Pages, but you can do it with the software on your Mac. Export or Print your Pages document as a PDF & open that PDF in Preview. Use the selection tool to select the area you want. You can crop & save as .jpg, but I recommend going to the File menu in Preview & choosing New From Clipboard to make a new file. This is because some programs, Pages in particular, will always "see" the unselected area & paste the whole thing. I also suggest using .png rather than .jpg. .jpg is a "lossy" format, .png will be much clearer. TIFF is also clear but usually a large file.
