How to save an image in different file formats

Hello
I want to have a drop down menu when the file dialog window opens so that I can select in which format I want to save the file.
For example have it in JPG, BMP, or PNG. The way that is working right now is saving it in the format that I write down on the filename. For example, if I write down labview.png it will save it in this format.
Therefore, if someone could help me to find a way to save it from the save as type menu it will be great!

This has been brought up multiple times before. Can't do it with the File Dialog that ships with LabVIEW. You have to either roll your own, or make an OS API call. You can also do it with .NET if you're on Windows, as shown in the attached example.

I am developing an App where I am taking pictures from the Camera but all the pictures get stored in the Gallery. I would like to store all the pictures taken in this app to be stored in a different folder so that when users view the pictures in the app, it should show only the pictures taken using the app. Currently, all the pictures of the Gallery are being displayed which I do not want.
I want to create a folder, store camera pictures taken using the app in this folder then display all the images of the folder in the app.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

But I am finding that there are limitations on how big the image can be. I am trying to save a 20mb jpeg to pdf in acrobat and having issues. Good luck!

How to change preview image of a file and NOT the icon ?
I know how to change the icon of a file, but I wish to know how to change the preview of any file.
For example: my file is "mysong.aif", I changed the icon to be "mylogo.png" using cmd+i, cmd+v on the icon. But the preview of the file still remain the same.
I know it can be changed using iTunes, but I don't want to import all my files in iTune, and iTune cannot import all type of files.
I hope someone will understand my needs...

How can I "tag" my MP3 without going thru iTunes ? Is it possible to do it dirrectly in the Finder ? Is there other type of files that can include such tags ?
Thank you for answering my question , wich I have to admit may seem useless, but I wish I could put something like a signature logo on each of the different file I produce (as AIF for music and MP4 for video clip) instead of that generic black box with a note on it, and by the meantime keeping a different icon for all of them in order to illustrate theire content.

I had the same problem... convert it to a BufferedImage (http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=665744&tstart=15), then use javax.imageio.ImageIO.write to save it to a file.

Adobe flash error: unable to save the document please try to save it to a different file name

I am editing few fla files with my Adobe Flash Professional. Suddenly it stopped saving them and is giving me an error; unable to save the document as... please try to save it to a different file name or to a different location.
i changed the location to save the files, but I still receive the same error.

close flash. right click its icon or start program and click "run as administrator". save your fla.
if that fails: restart your computer, create a new directory on your desktop and save a test fla (eg, named test) to that new directory. any problem?

Framework doesn't provide the option of storing the images as files. You can write a javascript to open a popup and provide a standard HTML file upload component which will save the file on specified location.

If you want to save Android Phone contacts to Excel format, you can have a try the following method:
Step 1. Connect Your Android Phone to Computer
After downloading and installing the Coolmuster Android Assistant software on your computer, launch it and you will get the program interface prompts you to connect your phone to the computer. Just use a USB cable to connect your phone to the computer and the program will detect the connected phone automatically. If it is the first time to run this software, you may encounter the following picture and be required to enable USB debugging on your phone at first. If your device can be detected by the program, you can directly skip to the next step.
Step 2: Go to the Contacts windows
All your phone data are categorized on the top menu. To transfer Android phone's contacts, you can go to click the "Contacts" icon to enter the Contacts window. How to save my emails and adressbook files from an old ibook (bought around 2002) ?
The screen from the old ibook doesn´t work anymore (logicboard problem I guess).
I saved everything else with starting it in target modus. That worked fine.
I want to delete the files after that as well, because I wanna give away the old ibook and don´t want anyone to read my emails!

Don't know how helpful this will be but I often copy mail from one computer to another, I drag the mail from the mail window to the other computers drop box, then from the other computer double click it and mail asks me what I want to do with it, of course without a screen you'd need to use back to my mac.
If you don't have back to my mac running, you could set up a second user account on the newer mac, import everything via target mode as suggested by c above, and then drag the mail to the first user account drop box.
