How to save form data as XML using Reader XI

Dear all,
I have designed a form using live cycle designer 9 and activated the form extensions using Acrobat X Pro.
The form includes an email send button.
Our clients uses the Reader X and XI.
Using Reader X the pressing of the button will open a dialog box asking the user to send the form/form data using the default email client
OR
one can save the form data as xml file on the local machine and attach it later.
However, using Reader XI there is no such possibility of saving the data as XML. One can just chose between the default email client or another email account.
I tried even a button using javascript xfa.host.exportData("",0); but nothing. In fact the button shows no function at all.
What do I wrong?
Does anybody has a hint please?
Thanks in advance.

I'm pretty impressed of Adobe and their stuff (I do NOT refer to the community), how helpful they are.
Perhaps I didn't understand  the meaning on the offical customer support website, stating:
The best way to contact us...
Ask our experts
Our community and staff are at your service 24/7
Even worst, their is a similar question from 25/09/2013 (http://forums.adobe.com/message/5711946#5711946) and no feedback form Adobe stuff at all.
Great service guys!
Thanks a lot!

  • Importing form data per XML - Using the form interface?

    Hi!
    I'm developing interactive forms by adobe and I want to import my form data per XML file. The xml file and the email are created by my pdf document.
    Now this xml file has to be parsed by a report or something like this.
    Is it possible to use the form interface, I implemented, or do I have to parse it manually?
    I think it has to work with this interface because it makes the pdf and it "knows" what to import/export.
    Am I wrong with my suspicions or can you help me with this problem?
    Thanks & greets,
    Philip Gillißen

  • How To Save Form Data

    Hello experts, champions and everyone else
    [Ref: ApEx 3.0.1.00.07 && IE 6 sp2 ]
    I need to save a lot of data from HTML input elements that are generated/rendered using the APEX_ITEM API. eg TEXT, RADIOGROUP, LOV, HIDDEN etc
    How is it posible to pass an array to my on-deman application process please?
    For each element, I have access to name="f01", name="f02", ... fnn and corresponding id-attributes id="myItem_123_myTag", id="myItem_345_myTag"
    ... just to elaborate further
    <input type="text" name="f01" id="myItem_123_myTag" value="value 1" />
    <input type="text" name="f02" id="myItem_345_myTag" value="value 2" />
    <input type="text" name="f50" id="myItem_999_myTag" value="abc etc" />
    where n is equal to or less than 50; 123, 345 & 999 are my database primary keys and the are always numeric values.
    After massaging (tokenize, getElementById etc) the data, I would have either a resultant array of:
    myArray("f01", 123)
    myArray("f02", 345)
    myArray("f50", 999)
    or
    myArray(123, "value 1")
    myArray(345, "value 2")
    myArray(999, "abc etc")
    at disposal, to throw at the on-demand process.
    [unfortunately, fnn's are not known in advance - that is, sometimes I'd have f01-f10 and sometimes, f01-f20]
    On the receiving end, in the on-demand process I would have a table records to accept the values from the array.
    Please advise how this can be achieved?
    TIA
    Hien

    Hi Carl,
    I am trying to populate a collection using the AJAX builtins. The data are passed to collection just fine.
    However, I notice that data in a TEXTAREA, the "&" (ampersand), ">" (greater than), or less than ("<") symbols are converted to & amp;, & gt;, & lt; , respectively.
    Is there a way to prevent those symbols from being converted??? I need to save and preserve data in their original form. ie. a & is saved in the database as &, not & amp; -- is this possible?
    Thanks for your help

  • How to save "Form" data in cq5 database?

    I have built a form. Now i would like to save in cq5 database..how can i achieve this?

    We currently do not integrate with CQ5 at this level. There is no way to save the form into that database. If you want your form to appear in a web page hosted by CQ then just use the embed code (Distribute tab, click Embed button, and copy embed code)

  • How to display the data in XML files into JSP using Jdeveloper.

    Hi All,
    I have two XML files one XML file has the view names and the other has the table names of a particular views, how to display the data in JSP using JDeveloper where when i click a particular view the list of tables of that particular view from XML file two should be displayed in JSP Page.
    Are there any reference documents, regarding the above process please can anyone guide through how to do it.

    Let the servlet ask your business tier to provide the data, then stuff it into beans, and pack those into the Session instance. Then forward the request to the JSP, let the JSP get those beans and display them.

  • Reader 5.1 DOES save form data. But where??

    I have used Reader 5.1 for the past couple of years to fill in some forms. It will save the filled-in data when the form is closed despite the fact that's it's apparently not supposed to be able to (and save as, email, etc. all indicate that the data would be lost because I'm not allowed to edit the file). I always assumed it was in the pdf, but this year, I noticed something odd: I had to fill in two copies of the form with different data. After filling it in once, I copied the pdf and overwrote all the data in the fields with the new data. Now, whenever either one is opened, the first data displays briefly and is then overwritten with the second data.
    So...
    The data is saved when it can't be.
    This version of Reader doesn't even support saving the data, but it's saved anyway.
    Data that was typed into one shows up in both.
    Reader is not actually installed, but only extracted from the archive (works fine this way and doesn't muck my system up as much) so I can remove it when done (I use Foxit for all other pdfs).
    Finally, the saved data will eventually disappear but the length of time appears to be volatile.
    The form in question is an Alabama tax form if that helps (download link can be provided if you want it).
    I want to separate the two lists of data and actually save it somewhere but I have no idea where it's saved. I believe the pdf got bigger after I added data but the modification date is unchanged, nothing obvious shows up when it's loaded into notepad and that doesn't explain how the second data showed up in the first file.
    Help???

    Thanks George. Unfortunatly, Enable Additional Features does not limit them to just editing form data. It also gives them the rights to use commenting and drawing tools. Looking to give people ONLY rights to edit and save form data. If that is possible. It'sa legal thing, we don't want them to be able to mark it up with comments.
    Anybody know if this even can be done with Acrobat X Pro?

    I have tried even editing the SPFILE as mentioned below:

  • How to save User input into DB using webdynpro abap

    Hi,
    Im trying to create an application using webdynpro abap.
    I want to know how to save the data input by user, into a database table.
    In my UI, I have a table control which is editable and user inputs data into this. I need to know how i can transfer this data to a DB table.

    hello,
    u can do it by reading ur context node.
    we bind our UI elements to context attributes of appropriate type .
    we read their values using the code wizard or by pressing control+F7, click on radio button read node/attribute
    here for ur specific case , u must have binded ur table control with the context attribute , now u need to simply read this attribute
    eg suppose u have created a context node " cn_table"
      reading context node cn_table
       DATA : lo_nd_cn_table TYPE REF TO if_wd_context_node ,
             lo_el_cn_table TYPE REF TO if_wd_context_element ,
             ls_cn_table    TYPE wd_this->element_cn_table.
    *   navigate from <CONTEXT> to <CN_TABLE> via lead selection
      lo_nd_cn_table = wd_context->get_child_node(
                       name = wd_this->wdctx_cn_table ).
    **    get element via lead selection
      lo_el_cn_table = lo_nd_cn_table->get_lead_selection(  ).
      lo_el_cn_table->get_static_attributes( IMPORTING
                 static_attributes = wa_table ).
    here wa_table is the work area of structure type . u need to create a structure first with the same variables as there are the context attributes in ur node cn_table
    in ur
    now ur wa_tablecontains value
    u can nw use appropriate FM to update , delete and modify the DB table using the value
    u cn directly use SQL statements as well in the method of ur view , but direct SQL statements are nt recommende

    Michael,
