How to save TS type palette in a text format?

Hello,
I am currently using Teststand 4.0.1f1.
The problem I currently have is the fact the custom type palettes of teststand (.ini files) are saved in a binary format by default. I also heard that previous versions of TS allowed to save this file in a text format that could be read by any text reader (i.e. notepad, visual studio, notepad++, etc).  Is it possible to save the custom type palettes of TS 4.0 in a text format instead of a binary format? And if it's possible, how can it be done?
Thank you in advance.

If you don't find the tab name File, it is most likely Preferences,
Configure>>Station Options>>Preferences>>File Format Options...
Thanks, I was looking for it as well recently

    how to save a photobook as pdf or jpeg format?

    Do you mean like a multi-page PDF?  As in, one photo per page? Or something else?
    You might get what you are looking for by exploring the options in iPhoto's Print (under the File menu) and then clicking the PDF button, and then Save As PDF.
    Without knowing more details about exactly what you are wanting to do, it's hard to know what else to suggest.

  • How to change Font Type of the Title Text of a JFrame?

    Hi,
    I want to set a different Font Type for the Title text of the titlebar of my JFrame.
    Is it possible? Can anyone show me how if it is?
    Thanks.
    Niteen

    Michael,
    Thanks. It works!
    But there was a problem. I was not using the :-
    JFrame.setDefaultLookAndFeelDecorated(true);
    so I have to use it now.
    Is it possible to do it without the default decorated look and feel? Because the default LNF title bar has too much height and I am cramped for space.
    I know that's no excuse. I tried but it doesn't work.. I am using a extended JFrame like this:-
    class Testing extends JFrame
    public Testing()
    setSize(300,100);
    setLocation(400,200);
    Container container = getContentPane();
    /* add components to this container here */
    setVisible(true);
    When I use getComponent() for the container, I get an ArrayIndexOutOfBound Exception.
    When I set the argument to getComponent(0), the font in the title bar is not changed.
    What else should I do?
    Thanks.
    Niteen.

  • How to Save SQL query template as a text file

    Hi,
    How to save a SQL query template in my server as a Text file?? I tried using Text saver but it is not getting saved in the path specified.
    Sweety

    Hi Sweety,
    In the transaction editor (for business logic), add your query template to a transaction.  Add a Tracer after and link the Query property of the SQL Query action block to the Message property of the transaction.  Run the transaction and you will see your Action Block's sql script as the message from the Tracer.  You can do the same with the Server property, SD and ED, etc.
    Also if you wish to dynamically load the sql script into the query, you can do that at run time by linking a script source to the query property.  Useful to have if you have to use a complex expression to dynamically create your script.  This sometimes occurs when you have multiple filtering inputs from a webpage and you can reduce the number of tables in a complex join when the fields are left empty.  Normally this would be done as a way to improve the performance of the query.
    Hopefully this is clear.  If not I can probably provide some sample expressions.

  • How to start new messages and replies using text format only?

    Hallo,
    I would like to start typing a new message in text format without the need to type every time the key option shift command T.
    The same, when I reply to a message I would like to use text only.
    I have played with the preferences but any of them seems able to do what I want.
    Is it possible to customize this in mail?
    thanks

    Thanks for the help,
    I have already made these changes, but I was still having sign differences.
    So what I have done now is go to preferences signs and for each account sign I have removed the option "use always my default font" and I have changed all signs font to the same of plain text.
    I am trying now... seems better but I am not still sure that it is plain text.
    thanks

  • Java.util.zip: how to save file type

    HI,
    I have a written a program that zips PDF files and sends them as an attachment via email. This have been running daily for the last 1.5 years with no problems. Recently, some email providers have been striping the attachments or refusing the email, because I have used two file suffix on the attachment, e.g report.pdf.zip. I did this so that when the file is unzipped the .pdf extension remains and file is recognised, otherwise the document is treated as plain text or unknown format. How can I include the filetype in the zipped file, so that I can have report.pdf become report.zip, then when the user unzips the file has report.zip become report.pdf. I know the filetype is stored in the zip header, but I don't know how to do this using java.util.zip. Any help would be appreciated.
    Mike

    You see, zip files are inherently dumb. They don't "actually" have a file system in the strictest sense. The zip file format merely associates a String ID with some bytes. It's all on the client side where the magic happens. if I have three zip entries in a file, these are the entry names.
    1.) somedir/myfile.txt
    2.) someotherdir/myfile.txt
    3.) README
    when a client "unzipper" see these names, it realizes that "/" is a directory separator, so it makes the appropriate directories and places the bytes into files of that given name.
    So all you should have to do is make the zip entry with a name that ends in .pdf The client should do the rest.

    In javadoc i found out that this method can be used only on off-screen image. What is off-screen image?Use BufferedImages, you'll have a lot less problems.
    Anyway I can't use this object in ImageIO.write because it requires RenderedImage object which can only be BufferedImage object.
    I tried to cast Image to BufferedImage but can't be ... If you need to get your Image painted onto a BufferedImage, you can do it like this:
    BufferedImage bi = new BufferedImage(myImageWidth, myImageHeight, BufferedImage.TYPE_INT_RGB);
    Graphics2D  g = bi.createGraphics();
    g.drawImage(myImage, 0, 0, null);

  • How to change display type of an existing Text field to a Picklist

    I need to modify an existing Text Field in the Expense report page to a Picklist and associate values to that picklist. Is this possible through Personalization ? If not, can someone let me know how this can be achieved.
    Thanks
    Meera

    We created an item instead of creating a region and extending it. But here we have one more problem. The item we added is getting displayed at Button Layout section
    Where did you create it, you should choose the appropriate region's create item icon to add it. If think you added it in a wrong place.
    And one more issue that we are facing is - we are getting an error (No current row for View (<ViewInstance>)). when we clicking the save or next button in that page. Please let us know how to update the existing controller and save the value in that picklist item to the database.
    There are two issues here,
    - you are trying to replace the messageTextInput with the poplits, so you should get the viewAttribute and viewUsage name associated with the textinput and provide that as part of the messageChoice definition.
    - the picklist VO which is the datasource for the poplist is not included in the existing seeded AM since you didnot follow the steps I mentioned earlier to create the stacklayout and add it instead of adding it directly. Probably you are on a version earlier than CU2, in which case you need to follow the additional steps mentioned below.
    While adding the poplist donot specify the picklist view definitions,
    1. extend the controller on the page and write your controller
    2. Call super first
    3. get a handle to the root AM and create the viewobject dynamically by using the createViewObject API on the AM.
    4. get a handle to the poplist in the controller, you need to do this first before creating the poplist in the personalization(otherwise the page might error out if you created the poplist first without the picklist view definition properties) and set the display, value attributes as well as the picklist view defintions based on the viewobject you created in step 3.
    5. Use personalization and add your poplist
    6. replace the old controller class with the new one.
    You are done.

    I am not familiar with Jpeg2000, but the easiest way I've found to go from Java to a JPeg file is with Java Adavanced Imaging (JAI) package from Sun. Take a look at it and see if it meets your requirements.

  • How to save to .doc or .rtf without loosing formatting

    Hi, I have to submit academic assignments with either .doc or .rtf file extensions. However, in the University there is a protocol for headers and footers so that the assignment is anonymous and when quoting from reference documents we have to indent paragraphs. When writing this is pages and exporting to .doc or .rtf all of the formatting gets lost. If I submit these without the right formatting, I will get marked down. They will not accept .pdf, which works OK - how can I save in .doc or .rtf without loosing the formatting?

    Hi Peter Breis, you have suggested soemthing that works which is the first line and left paragraph indents but this still does not work with tabs. The .rtf is not a solution becaue of the need for headers and footers (with pages numbers). In the .rtf file they just appear at the end of the text rather than a header and footer.
    Anyway, in summary, thank you Peter, you have given me a solution that works which is to indent using first line and left paragraph indents and to export into a .doc document. The headers and footers export without a problem using this method. I will nominate all the extra marks that I will get from following the University's protocol to you!, Thanks!

  • How to save report data as a plain text file

    running APEX 4.0. I have to extract some query data to send via a text file. I see that my report options are RTF, CSV or XML - is there a way to get it out as TXT?
    The Data Unload does have this option but the data is not from a single table (though I can dump it all into a temp table if this is the only way to export as TXT) but is it possible to have the end user run the Data Unload from an application or is this just a developers option?
    The goal is to have a user be able to run the report and save it as TXT without having to "do" anything other than click a button.

    I put it as a before header process on a blank page - when the page is called from a button, this htp.prn runs, you save the file, and with the
    htmldb_application.g_unrecoverable_error := true; at the end, the rest of that page doesn't run.

  • How to save an e-mail as an .eml format and customize the name of the file, for example the name of the file would be "date, time, sender, title"?

    It would be fantastic if when saving my e-mails to my computer the file name could be customized to be something different that just the title of the message. As I suggested in the question if it could be set up to be "date, time, sender, title" it would be great, a lot of help when passing an .eml file between co-workers, or simply organizing your e-mails in folders. Is it possible and if yes, how is it done?
