How to Search/Filter DataGrid

Hi,
This is of course related to Flex 2. I am using a httpservice
to fillup a datagrid. The question is, how can I filter the data in
the datagrid based on some input string, like a search/filter
functionality.

existence of
filterFunction, so after batmitra mentioned it I was done.
Still there are filtering functions like google's search
query I was looking
for, so that it searches multiple columns based on multiple
search queries that
are separated by spaces, which contain different types of
data and being case
insensitive at the same time. If any of you has a solution
for that I would
like to know that!

I did not find documentation telling how to manage HR documents with TREX
I have only tried SES but it is not useful for what I need.

Yes, Trex can be used for this task. I have noe idea particularly about HR document management on TREX .
But I can help you out for using the Trex for classification, Indexing etc based on your requirements.

Search Filter DataGrid

I need to build a datagrid that has a search box that filters rows as a user types. I found a javascript library called DataTables that demonstrates this. Does anyone know if something like this already exists with the Flex DataGrid component?

It's actually quite easy to do. If you make the dataProvider an ArrayCollection you can create and attach a filter function to the ArrayCollection and on the TextInput you listen for TextOperationEvent.CHANGE and in the event handler update the filter value and then call refresh on the ArrayCollection.

How to create a sort in Office 365 search filter pane

Hi,
I am using Office 365.My first issue is i uploaded an image in Asset Library and searched for that image but i didn't get that image in results.
Second i added some keyword to that image while uploading and i searched with those keywords still no luck.
Third, If i have created a column in of Choice lets say "Selected" and "Rejected" how could i make this column as a filter option in search result page. Like default search filter for Excel, PDF, Word Document, People.

According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to create a custom refiner in search result page.

1) you can use the function module 'BAPI_BUPA_SEARCH' to filter BP by country. In the address data field, you can enter country code (say IN for India) and this will return you the list of BP's belonging to the country.
2) You can use view BBPV_BUPA_ADDR to see the BP's for a particular country.
for this view, if you look at the "Table/Join Conditions" tab, you can see the underlying tables used for join ->
BUT000 ->BuPA Master
BUT020 ->BP Address table
ADRC ->Address services.

You can drag the attachment collumn from settings and sort on that collumn

How do you save a custom search filter for projects/ library?

Is there a way to save a customized default for the way I will use search filter options?
I've looked everywhere... It seems the seach filter for every project just wants to behave on it's own accord.
Most of the time, I just want to search different projects the same way with one, filtered result!

The Filter settings are sticky. Every container listed on the Library tab of the Inspector keeps it's own Filter settings, set to whatever was last used.
I'm not aware of any way to set a default Filter.
You could create a Folder and put a Smart Album in that Folder with "Source" set to the Folder. Any Albums or Projects you put in the Folder become the superset for the Filter you set in the Smart Album. This is a pretty sophisticated set-up, however. What is the filter you need, and how often do you need it?

LDAP Search filter Jabber for Android

I have this LDAP Filter which only shows me active users:

I have the same line for Jabber for Android, but it doesn't work.
<BDIBaseFilter>(&(objectclass=user)(objectcategory=person)(!UserAccountControl:1.2.840.113556.1.4.803:=2))</BDIBaseFilter>
I get 0 results for any search on Jabber Andorid. When I delete the "BDI" Line for the filter all together, then I get correct results - with photos and everything.
I also tried a simple filter e.g:
<BDIBaseFilter>(!UserAccountControl:1.2.840.113556.1.4.803:=2))</BDIBaseFilter>
No search results either.
Any ideas how to get Filter for Android working?

The next question is now: Why is it a bad search filter? And what is the correct one? The same filter works on jabber for windows...

I have one problem with Report generation,,,,,,I have one report table which is in the form of VO(query based) and i want to search this table as month and year basis
but in this table(query) that field having timestamp based value.. how to search with month name and year only.. Here i am using totally query base VO's for generating

You can use a inputdate, which allows you to selecte a moth, year and a day. Once the selection is made you convert it to only allow moth and date like

          <f:convertDateTime pattern="MM/yyyy"/>
        </af:inputDate>
        <af:outputText value="Selected #{bindings.myMonthYear1.inputValue}" id="ot1" partialTriggers="id1"/>
then you have a string holding month and year only. This value you split into two variables you or pass it as a whole parameter to the query and split it there.
Another way is to add two static lovs one for month and one for year and use them to get to the filter values.

How can I filter a table from Data Control without enter query

I have a table from a web service data control based on WSDL.
I want to filter the table without input query at filter text box. Without filter text box, each would filter the table with a hardcoded query internally.
For example, when user click A menu button then it filters the table where type = '1' and B menu button filters the table by type='2' and C menu button filters the table by type=' ' .
How can I filter the table without enter query?
Could anyone point me to a solution please.

Hi,
when you created the table, did you try selecting the "filter" option. Select the table and go to the Property Inspctor. In the tool bar of the Property Inspector there is an icon to change the configuration. Its adding filter filter fields for the user to search in.
Option 2: The data of the Web Service actually is held in the iterators. If you wanted to filter the WebService query, I would not use the WS DC but a JAX-WS proxy in a POJO to fetch the WS Data. Then have the Data Control created from the POJO. You could have a method exposed on the POJO that allows you to filter the internally held data

In Advanced Search you can filter by:
Filter by Predefined Properties or
Filter by Custom Properties
If you like, I don't know your requirement, you can create an index, Service Type: search and classification. And classify your documents by countries using taxonomies.
