How to see if a R3 system is an ASCII system??

Hi all,
I must to do an heterogenoues system copy of an R3 4.6C from:
Source System: Windows-Oracle
to:
Target System: AS400-DB2
I'd like to known if the source system is an ASCII system....how to see it??
I must to see the NLS Parameter in V$parameter of the DB???
Any ideas??

what do you mean by "ascii"? character set?
if yes, log onto system, use <sid>adm and call sqlplus:
> sqlplus /nolog
> connect / as sysdba
> select value from v$parameters where parameter = 'NLS_CHARACTERSET';

I can't figurate how to list all the root directories
(C:/> , D:/>, E:/> etc.) in a system.
I know how to recursively check the content of a
directory and all its subdirectories when a
predefined path is defined. However what I' d like to
do is actually give the option to pick one of the
root directories to start the iteration. I have been
looking around but I can' really find anything
helpful.

In generic extraction I have created extract structure ,in the extract structure I have 6 fields but I am trasferring only 4 fields to the BW system ,So it will creates transfer structure in BW System with the 4 fields but when the Transfer structure in sap r/3 generates and how can see the transfer structure in sap r/3 system.I will give full points if i get the correct answer.

Data source = extract structure in r/3 system + transfer structure in r/3 system + transfer structure in bw system .
for exmpale you try to extract the following fields
1) vbeln
2) erdat
3) ernam
4)netwr
5)waerk from vbak table but you decided to trasfer only 4 fields expect the erdat in that case
extract structure contains all 5 fields and transfer structure contains 4 fields in BW system expect erdat field,
As far as my knowledge is concern when replicate the data source in bw system and activate the infosource at that time
it will create the transfer structure in r/3 system but I dont know how to see the transfer structure in r/3 system,
please help me in this regard.

You cannot see the system-status in SPRO.
You can view the system-statuses via BS23.
Be warned - it is NOT advisable to change the system-status setting as you may screw-up your system. Remember that many statuses are used across multiple objects and multiple modules.

As requirement of our users, they ask us show them all the list of extractors used in our systems. I thoguht that we can check the flows one by one but they are so many. there is another way to see all the extractors used?
I checked in the matadata reposirory but they aren't there..If you can help me would be great.

DataSouces tab in RSA1 may be useful to you.
You can see all the data sources available for BW system here. One thing you need to keep in mind is that you may find some data sources here which are not used in any flow, such data sources will not have an arrow for expansion before them.

HOW to see RFC data reached to r/3 system

We have FILE to RFC scenario,now the data from file is reaching xi, i am able to c the data,now from xi to b/w we r calling rfc which dosent give any response(it just simply posts the data) so is there any transaction or some way (as in case of idoc's we have we02) where we can see that the data has reached the bw system.

What you can do is,
1. Make sure the RFC is Remote Enabled.
2. Make sure that you have the latest RFC imported in your XI system.
3. User ID & Pwd is not locked.
4. Check in Moni, if you get some kind of error abot your CC

Hi everyone.. the problem is: The server have all the UUID or ID of the computers.... but in windows we know how to see that but in mac we dont have idea to where see this number... so.. i try in terminal with some commands but everytime say the UUID of hardware or UUID of user but i need other UUID and this UUID is the number that the server say that is mine....
Is strange....
In windows we found a program,, but in mac i dont find some program can help my problem... My UUID is the same only show me the UUID of Hardware... i need the 4 UUID of the computers...

Customer Purchase Order is nothing but the Sales Order in your system
Customer Po acknowledgement is nothing but the Acknowledgement that is sent out (output type BA00) to the Customer after the Sales Order has been created.
Note: Purchase is to Customer - Sales is to you as the Vendor.

How to see my Microsoft shared files?

I have my emac connected via ethernet to my broadband modem.
I have my pc also connected via ethernet - with shared files defined.
I can see the network/files from my wireless connection laptop but I have no idea how to see the windows unit/files from my emac (OSX 10.5)
Can anyone offer this apple newbie some guidance?

You have to mention adapter specific attribute for file size in file adapter.
