          <welcome-file>logon.jsp</welcome-file>
     </welcome-file-list>
the server that I am using is Tomcat. Please let me know the way to solve this issue
I tried running the application I am getting the following error -

Do you know what a root directory of a Web application is?

  • How to set initial column widths for a table

    What I'd like to do is to control the initial column widths for a table.
    I'm building the table by using a class which extends AbstractTableModel. This class takes care of setting the headers and reading the data for the table.
    If I do the following:
    VarTableModel vtm = new VarTableModel(vi);
    JTable jt = new JTable(vtm);
    JScrollPane jsp = new JScrollPane(jt);
    frame.getContentPane().add(jsp);
    frame.setVisible(true);
    I will see a table in my window. The widths of the columns are equal and are a function of the horizontal dimension of the window.
    I have tried to set the width of a column by doing the following:
    TableColumn aColumn;
    aColumn = jt.getColumn(vtm.getColumnName(0));
    aColumn.setWidth(40);
    But this has no effect on what gets displayed. I can force the widths that I want by using 'setMaxWidth' but this has the unfortunate side effect of not allowing the user to make the column wider if they want.
    What I'd like is a way to specify the widths of the columns when initially displayed and then let the user adjust to their liking.
    I'm sure that there is a way to do this, but I don't seem to understand where to intervene in the process to produce the effect that I want.
    Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

    Table.setAutoResizeMode(JTable.AUTO_RESIZE_OFF);
    add this line and try ur codeThanks for the suggestion! Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to do the trick. Here is an abbreviated segment of my code:
    vtm = new VarTableModel(vi);
    JTable jt = new JTable(vtm);
    // we want a horizontal scrollbar, so turn resizing off
    // and we want to control column widths
    jt.setAutoResizeMode(JTable.AUTO_RESIZE_OFF);
    aColumn = jt.getColumn(vtm.getColumnName(0));
    aColumn.setWidth(40);
    . // same kind of thing for each column
    aColumn = jt.getColumn(vtm.getColumnName(4));
    aColumn.setWidth(400);
    JScrollPane jsp = new JScrollPane(jt);
    frame.getContentPane().add(jsp);
    frame.setVisible(true);
    If I do the above, the table gets displayed with each of the five columns the exact same width. So, the sizing of the columns is happening somewhere else despite turning auto resizing off.
    Where is that occurring and how can I intervene so that I can control the widths of the columns on initial display and still allow the user to adjust the widths if they so choose?

  • PDF through VBA: How to set Initial View?

    - Adobe Acrobat 6.0 (sorry we're a bit out of date)
    - MS Office 2003
    - MS Windows XP Professional SP2
    I am trying to automate the creation of PDFs from MS Word. I have succeeded. My VBA code works fine (have pasted it below). I can create a PDF, and give it a title and author.
    The problem I am having is with the Initial View settings, i.e. how the document opens. I want to hardcode:
    1. Show to "Page Only"
    2. Page Layout to "Continuous"
    3. Magnification to "Fit Width"
    The first I have done, using AcroExch.PDDoc's SetPageMode() function (although it seems to default to that even without doing this). I cannot, for the life of me, find any reference to the second and third, though. This must be doable, right? Be kind of weird not to have access to this in the API.
    Hours of Googling has thrown up three ideas I've discarded.
    1. AcroExch.App's SetPreference() function. This would presumably change preferences on the machine making the PDF, not reading it. I don't want to fiddle with other people's preferences anyway.
    2. AcroExch.AVPageView's ZoomTo() function. Ditto. I am not creating an app to view PDFs, just trying to configure the default for opening one I've created.
    3. An "undocumented" SetOpenInfo() in AcroExch.PDDoc. This looked the most promising for Magnification, but nobody seems to be able to get it to work, and it does nothing for me either. Someone somewhere even suggested it had been deprecated in later versions of Acrobat.
    So... what do I do?
    Thanks in advance for any pointers.

  • How to set initial value for a dropdown box?

    Hi,
    Within Netweaver 2004S (BI 7.0) we use integrated planning. In one of our applications we want to use a dropdown box (created with the WAD) to make a selection possible for a characteristic.
    We set up a pre-query to fill the dropdown box (via data binding CHARACTERISTIC_SELECTION) with the proper values. This works fine.
    We pass on the choosen entry (via command SET_VARIABLES_STATE) to a second variable that is used in another query. This command is triggered after the user makes a selection in the dropdown box. Also this works fine. After selection of one entry, the output of the second query is limited.
    We have the following problem: the first time a blank selection entry is added to the dropdownbox and that no values are passed on to the second query. Because it seems that the user first must choose an entry.
    What we would like to do is that one of the found values of the pre-query is automatically selected in the dropdown box and passed on to the second variable (to limit the second query).
    I give you an example:
    The first query delivers value A, B, and C for the characteristic of the dropdown box.
    The first time the dropdown box showns an empty entry, and three additional entries A, B and C. The second query shows all results, because the second variable doesn't receive any value via the command SET_VARIABLES_STATE. The command is not yet triggered.
    When you select A, B or C, the command is triggered and the second query shows only results for the choosen entry (this is correct). Now the empty entry has disappeared from the dropdown box. Only the entries A, B and C are left.
    Is it possible to set up the dropdown box on such a way (or add some script coding around it) that in the initial show for the dropdown box one of the entries is choosen automatically, so that the empty line is not part of the value set of the dropdown box and that the command connected to the dropdown box (in our case the SET_VARIABLES_STATE) is carried out automatically?
    Please, who can help us with this?
    Kind regards and thanks in advance,
    Marcel.

    Hi,
    In BW 3.5,say you want to set default for calmonth.
    In order to avoid the “ALL” option from appearing in the dropdown box,
    filter infobject 0CALMONTH for DP1 by any valid value.
    In the object Data_provider include the lines in Bold:
    <object>
    <param name="OWNER" value="SAP_BW"/>
    <param name="CMD" value="SET_DATA_PROVIDER"/>
    <param name="NAME" value="DP1"/>
    <param name="QUERY" value="WORKSHOP_CALMONTH_DROPDOWN"/>
    <param name="INFOCUBE" value="0D_SD_C03"/>
    <<b>param name="FILTER_IOBJNM" value="0CALMONTH"/>
    <param name="FILTER_VALUE" value="200401"/></b>
    DATA_PROVIDER: DP1
    </object>
    Hope this helps.

  • How to set initial size for mailbox in Exchange 2013?

    Hello All!
    I've installed Exchange 2013.
    Now I'd like to check Backup/Restore of some DataBase.
    For thist I look for some way to create Bulk of Mailboxes in DataBase and to set some initial size 50-100Mb for each.
    Thanks a lot!
    BR,
    Pavel

    Hi
    In your testing creating bulk mailboxes alone will not help . We need to populate some data's in the databases so that the databases are written with some values and they contain some data.
    For your testing with backup
    First you need to create few number of mailboxes.
    Populate those mailboxes by sending more emails.
    delete those emails and then try restoring those emails from the backup or if its testing QA server then you can dismount any databases delete few log files and try to restore them from your backup
    Remember to mark as helpful if you find my contribution useful or as an answer if it does answer your question.That will encourage me - and others - to take time out to help you Check out my latest blog posts on http://exchangequery.com Thanks Sathish

  • How to programmatically set initial password when a user is created in OID

    We are using the odihragent synchronization process to automatically create users in OID when an employee record is created. We would like to set the initial password for the newly created user to their last name + the last 4 digits of their SSN.
    The odihragent process is successfully creating the user in OID and populates the last name and the last 4 digits of the SSN in OID. According to an open SR I have with Oracle, we cannot use the odihragent process to set the initial password because any time the employee record is updated, the synchronization process will reset the password to last name + SSN. They have recommended that we use a pl/sql plug-in to set the password using the WHEN_ADD plug-in procedure.
    I am new to using OID and plug-ins and the examples provided in the Developer's Guide are limited.
    I would like to know if anyone else is using plug-ins or another process to set initial passwords when a user is created? If you are using plug-ins would you be willing to share a code sample?

    I am surprised that I have not received any responses... Surely there are others who are experienced with programmatically setting passwords when new users are programmatically created. Does anyone have any pointers on how to best accomplish this?

  • I download itext  for convert jsp to PDF. How to set content type for PDF.

    I download itext for convert jsp to PDF. How to set content type for PDF. I try
    <%@ page contentType = "application/pdf;charset=TIS-620" %>
    , but the page does not PDF.
    Thank.

    PDF files are usually binary files, JSPs are not well-suited for binary content.
    (If you download the result of your JSP you'll see that it is not a valid PDF file; it will have probably a lot of whitespace and linefeeds, that will choke your PDF reader.). The first few characters must be
    "%PDF-" without whitespace.
    You can try using PDF files encoded as text - check if you can use text-encoded PDFs in iText.
    Try using a Servlet instead.

  • How to set the HOME link from two frame jsp page to no frame main page?

    Hi all,
    i have one main jsp page named as main.jsp.
    From the main.jsp, i can click the button and link to the twoFrame.jsp.
    This twoFrame.jsp have another two different jsp inside the frame called Aframe.jsp and Bframe.jsp.
    i try to put HOME in the Aframe.jsp(one of the page inside twoFrame.jsp) but only the Aframe.jsp manage to link to main.jsp but the Bframe still there.
    My question is: How to set the HOME link button from this twoFrame.jsp to the main.jsp? what i want is from twoFrame.jsp(two frame) to main.jsp(no frame).
    rgds,
    Bryan523

    No offense, but this is basic HTML. You shuold look into learning HTML before getting too deep into JSP. Try this: http://www.w3schools.com/html/default.asp
    But as a more specific answer, you have to set a target for the link to the _parent of your frame:
    <a href="main.jsp" target="_parent">Home</a>

  • How to set the initial value of of a poplist dynamical

    Hi,
    I've got a poplist that is populated by a recordgroup. This is done by the following pre-form trigger:
    DECLARE

         l_group_id RecordGroup;
         l_it_id     item;
         l_int_value VARCHAR2(2);

         CLEAR_LIST (l_it_id);
         POPULATE_LIST(l_it_id,l_group_id);
    END;
    I've tried to set the initial value by adding following lines to the trigger above but I receive the frm-41084 error. This code assigns the first value of the recordgroup to a hidden text item. In the properties of the poplist the value of the hidden text field is set as initial value.

    Hello Ken,
    you can set an initial value for a poplist with the copy command.
    You could use a procedure like this:
    PROCEDURE P_FILL_LBX
         lbx_ITEM_IN                 VARCHAR2,
         grp_DATA_GROUP_IN  VARCHAR2,
         flg_DEL_NULL              BOOLEAN,
         str_WERT_IN               VARCHAR2
    ) IS
      ERROR_ID NUMBER;
    BEGIN
      CLEAR_LIST(lbx_ITEM_IN);
      ERROR_ID := populate_group(grp_DATA_GROUP_IN);
      populate_list(lbx_ITEM_IN,grp_DATA_GROUP_IN);
      IF flg_DEL_NULL = TRUE THEN
        DELETE_LIST_ELEMENT(lbx_ITEM_IN,GET_LIST_ELEMENT_COUNT(lbx_ITEM_IN));
      END IF;
      IF str_WERT_IN IS NOT NULL THEN
        COPY(str_WERT_IN,''||lbx_ITEM_IN||'');
      END IF;
    END;Bernd

  • How can WLS use JSP pages in a Web Application witth just a JRE [Web Application, WAR, JSP, weblogic.jsp.pageCheckSeconds and JRE]

              How can WLS use JSP pages in a Web Application (either a .war file or a war directory structure) without a java compiler?
              I suspect either the JSP specification is flawed (i.e. it doesn't take account of servers using just a JRE), or BEA's implementation is broken.
              Production servers do not have a JDK installed. They only have a JRE. Therfore a java compiler is not present on the machine that the Web Application is deployed onto.
              On the development machine, when the server is requested to load the JSP it creates a tmpwar directory within the Web Application directory structure. This is then included in the resultant .war file thus:
              D:\war>jar -tf gmi.war
              META-INF/
              META-INF/MANIFEST.MF
              gmiService.jsp
              WEB-INF/
              WEB-INF/classes/
              WEB-INF/classes/com/
              WEB-INF/classes/com/bt/
              WEB-INF/classes/com/bt/gmi/
              WEB-INF/classes/com/bt/gmi/gmiService.class
              WEB-INF/getList.xsl
              WEB-INF/getListByConnection.xsl
              WEB-INF/getListByDistrict.xsl
              WEB-INF/getListByDistrictConnection.xsl
              WEB-INF/lib/
              WEB-INF/source/
              WEB-INF/source/build.bat
              WEB-INF/source/gmiService.java
              WEB-INF/web.xml
              WEB-INF/weblogic.xml
              tmpwar/
              tmpwar/jsp_servlet/
              tmpwar/jsp_servlet/_gmiservice.class
              tmpwar/jsp_servlet/_gmiservice.java
              When deployed on the production server with the web.xml file set to use the following values (note XML stripped):
              weblogic.jsp.pageCheckSeconds
              -1
              weblogic.jsp.precompile
              false
              weblogic.jsp.compileCommand
              javac
              weblogic.jsp.verbose
              true
              weblogic.jsp.packagePrefix
              jsp_servlet
              weblogic.jsp.keepgenerated
              false
              And in the weblogic.properties file:
              weblogic.httpd.webApp.gmi=war/gmi
              I've also tried with the .war file, but that insists on creating another tmpwar directory outside of the .war file.
              Then, although I have set pageCheckSeconds to -1 (don't check and don't recompile) ter production server still attempts to recompile the JSP's:
              Mon Sep 25 11:40:11 BST 2000:<I> <WebAppServletContext-gmi> *.jsp: init

              the JDK. Just add that to your set of JARs which are deployed in production
              and you should be fine. No need to install the full JDK - just make the
              tools.jar available to WebLogic.

              Therfore a java compiler is not present on the machine that the Web

  • How to run BC4J JSP programs generated by JDeveloper 9i?

    I used JDeveloper 9i to:
    Create a new Project Workspace
    Create New Business Components
    Click on Run, Run Project
    The Java application works perfectly alright.
    Click on New, BC4J JSP, Business Components JSP Application
    Then a full set of JSP source code is generated based on the Business Components Java Application.
    Right-click on main.html, Run main.html
    I can see that deployment of the JSP programs is OK but the Internet Explorer does not start the main.html.
    I enter address: http://localhost:8988/ in Internet Explorer and can see that OC4J is running.
    I would like to enter the path of the deployed JSP program.
    How can I know what is the path of the URL?

    I have change the settings in tools->preferences to point to the right location, i.e.
    C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE
    Internet Explorer does not start after it shows:
    C:\oracle\ora9ids\jdk\bin\javaw.exe -ojvm -classpath C:\oracle\ora9ids\j2ee\home\oc4j.jar -Dhttp.proxyHost=hqproxy.vtc.edu.hk -Dhttp.proxyPort=8080 com.evermind.server.OC4JServer -config C:\oracle\ora9ids\jdev\system\oc4j-config\server.xml
    [Starting OC4J using the following ports: HTTP=8990, RMI=23893, JMS=9229.]
    [waiting for the server to complete its initialization...]
